2020 Chevy Equinox: FULL REVIEW | 2020 Updates Put Safety at the Forefront!

Car Confections:

What's going on YouTube?
Now everyone knows that the Silverado is the best-selling chevy model
but what a lot of people forget about is this equinox is also a great selling vehicle as
A matter of fact this year sales increase has it nipping at the heels of the rogue and CRV
That's why today we're taking a look at the latest 2020 version at Sutherland Chevrolet in Nicholasville, Kentucky
Of course if you're in the market for any new Chevy be sure to stop by their showroom or visit them via their website
which we provided a link to in the video description, so
With that all said, let's see if Chevy has made any changes in this year
So kicking things off with the exterior styling
There is one update right off the bat and that's this new midnight blue metallic paint color
Which as you can see is a very dark shade of blue
Other than that the front design does carry over unchanged this year
So for the premiere you have this fully chrome finished grille and on the other trims you have black bars with just the crumbs around
The other important premiere difference are these full LED headlights as
Opposed to the HIDs on the LT and the halogens on all the rest
In a separate housing down below you have the turn signal and for the premiere only the halogen fog lights
as
Far as the rest of the styling it continues with the same look for 2020 with the signature elements like the wraparound rear window
These tail lights also have the same design across all of the trims except for the LED elements that are premiered exclusive
and
Then finally at the bottom you have a single hidden exhaust outlet unless you go for the more powerful 2-liter turbo model
So all in all the equinox has a conservative design that looks handsome and will continue to age very gracefully
Now while the main part of the design has not changed there are some wheel updates for 2020
the biggest change is the fact that these
18-inch wheels on the premier now do without the black contrast inserts from last year, which does now give them a more subdued look
There are also some optional 19-inch wheels on this 1.5 liter model or standard on the 2-liter model
But otherwise you're going to be looking at 17 inch alloys as standard across the other three trips
Moving on up to the mirrors they come in three different finishes
Black body colored or chrome reserved for the premiere along with auto dimming abilities and standard blind spot monitoring
All models however, do get heating
And now that brings us to probably the most important change for
2020 and that's that most of the advanced safety systems are now standard across the entire
Equinox line up instead of just being optional on the premier
That means that even the base LS comes with forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection
Lane Keeping Assist and Auto high beam headlights and
Then the premiere also has the option of adding adaptive cruise control
This is definitely a great addition to the lineup especially since the base price has not changed
Well it pretty much finishes up everything to look at on the exterior, so now let's go ahead and check out the cabin
So unlike a lot of the rivals the equinox does actually give you Chevy's smart entry system standard across the board
And if you ought for the premiere you go get remote start on the file, or as an option on the LT
Now to get inside the vehicle itself there is not a sensor behind the handle so you just press the little button
All right
So checking out the cabin of the 2020 equinox
As you can probably tell there have not been any significant changes to the interior this year
That doesn't mean you'll continue to be presented with these same color options and materials as last year
So for your L and LS that's gonna be a cloth seat in medium
Ash gray only there if you go for the LT it does come shared with the same cloth
But you can option on leather and you can also get the additional color. Um jet black
Now when you go for this premiere
This is where you have standard real leather and jet black this ash gray combination or a special brandy color
Now turning over here to your door trim, it is very nicely finished
So you have this nice piece of leather that goes all through here and up to the top
Your driver's window is OneTouch auto up and down all the others are just Auto down
Towards your memory seats these two-person memory seats do come standard on the premier only
Now heading down to the see here the LT and the premiere do come standard with this 10-way power adjusting seat
And then the other models come with a six-way manual seat instead
And like I was saying here on the premiere we have the real leather seats
They feel very nice and they also look very good. I like the color contrast
So you basically have the jet black accents around the side and then the gray in the middle
So as far as the materials of the cabin they do carry over this year
So across the upper dash this will always be hard touch plastic across all the trim levels
but when you go for a higher-end model like this premiere we have this really nice piece of leather at
Two different types, so you've got the plain and then also the perforated and the real stitching to connect them
Your lower areas are hard touch, but everything does fit together very nicely
Standard across every Equinox is push button start
When you press it, you'll see one of two different displays fire up
On this premiere. We have the 8 inch display and on all the other trims. You will come standard with a 7 inch display instead
I'm checking out the gauges here. This is the premium arrangement with the larger multifunction display now starting last year
Chevy did bring this down to the LT. So it's on both the LT and the premier
And basically it just has the larger 4.2 inch multi-function display and you can scroll through all the different types of information
Including through different things like safety systems if you do have them equipped
Now coming back to the steering wheel
It is electric power assisted and the steering wheel is wrapped in leather if you go for the premiere
Or as an option on the LT
Now you do have your buttons for your cruise controls where some of your safety systems
And we also have the optional heating here on this premiere on this side
You get your phone voice and then your buttons for your multi-function display
As far as the steering wheel itself, it does manually tilt and telescope
Now moving on to interior storage this is one area where the equinox really thrives compared to the rivals
So starting out here with your center console
This is honestly bigger than just about anything in the class
I don't know if the camera can fully see this but this goes down like a foot and a half
Time does have a nice little pad down at the bottom. But this is like I said definitely bigger than most of the competition
You've also got two USB ports in there
Then we close that off. We got another storage cubby right here our two cupholders and
Then a really large console up here. You can stick your phone
This pad here does serve as a wireless phone charger if you go for the premier
And then back there you can see a regular USB port a USB type-c and aux track and a 12-volt outlet
Now Chevy has been able to give you that much space without going to the electronic shifter like its sibling the GMC Terrain has
So this just has a regular shifter you just pull back for drive. You can't shift manually with these little toggles here
But you will not find paddle shifters on any of the bottles
Now when we head into reverse, you'll see one of the other standout features of the equinox and that's this
360-degree camera system that's optional in the premiere through the convenience package -
This is one of the best systems in the industry, it's General Motors latest high-resolution camera system
Like in the Silverado. So basically you've got default in your 360 view and your traditional back view
But you have tons and tons of other views
So as you can see, we can cycle through all these different things including a trailer view this kind of three-dimensional look side. We use
And you can turn on and off your lines as well
Basically, like I said overall it's one of the best
360-degree camera systems in the industry right now and it is available here on equinox
And then back behind the shifter you do have an electronic parking brake
I'm moving on up to the climate controls. This is the dual zone automatic setup that comes standard on the premier only
However, you can option that this onto the LT through the confidence and convenience package
but of course as you can see
This is very simple to use you. Just have these two easy knobs to adjust the temperature
And then all your other buttons are laid out physically here for you to press though
They do pop-out redundantly up here on the display to you know, show you what you've selected
As far as the seat climate controls
three-stage heated seats come standard on the premier and
then the three stage ventilation ventilated seats that we have they come in the convenience and confidence package -
That's a premier only option
All right
And now that brings us up here to our audio system
Now every single model does come standard with a six speaker system throughout the entire lineup
However on the premiere you can option on the bow system when you choose navigation, and that's what we have
So let's go ahead and take a sample
Style quality of this system is excellent. Definitely one of the best systems I've heard in this class
All right, so now that brings us up here to our Chevy infotainment 3 system this was updated last year to the latest software
So we'll just go ahead and take a real quick look through the system. So what you're looking at here is the home screen you
Have these little tiles that you can click on that can take you as a shortcut button there
you also have the little shortcut buttons along the bottom that you can real quickly toggle between
Now I just hit the highlights here. One of them is going to be our models navigation system. This is optional on the premier
And like I already mentioned it does come with the Bose audio system as well. So
This is General Motors newest map display as you can see it is a very nice graphics
it's also very responsive to pinch-to-zoom and other types of motions and you can even do
Interesting things like change the tilt with three fingers kind of like Google Maps
now the other main thing I want to mention is that
Even if you choose the base models that come with the lower-end system and the smaller display
Those also come with apple carplay and android auto just like this one
So rest assured even if you do not get integrated navigation, which the majority of models will not have integrated navigation
You will still be able to access Google Maps or Apple maps through apple carplay or Android auto
But anyways, that's a real quick discussion of some of the main features of this system
However, we do have a dedicated tech tech help video available
For those of you who want to learn more a link to that video is in the description
I'm moving on up
We do have an auto-dimming mirror on the premier or option on the LT and that comes with three Universal home link remotes as well
And one thing you'll notice missing from this model is a moonroof
It's because Chevy does not offer a standard size moonroof
You have to choose the panoramic one, which is available as an option on both the LT and premiere
But obviously we don't have that option checked off
But overall the cabin of the Chevy Equinox continues to be a very pleasant place to spend time
The redesign that they did in 2018, really
Amplified and made this cabin a lot more pleasant of a place a lot more luxurious
And you definitely have all the features to make it a very class competitive environment
But anyways now go ahead and hand it off to my brother Mason who would check out all the back areas
Already so heading around to the 2020 equinoxes mercy
You are going to find a really large amount of space even for its class
You'll find 40 inches of rear legroom and 39 inches of rear headroom
Which does place it above the main rivals like the Toyota rav4 and on par with the Honda CRV
Now turning over here to the door trim. We do have a really nice one
so it is leather wrapped all the way through here and
It does have a nice color contrast stitching going through here
And you do have a power window now down below that we do some bottle storage
And as far as the seats themselves, they are that beautiful color contrast design. So you do a black on the outside
Grey on the inside and they do also recline
Now here in the center area Chevy has given us some very nice features as standard equipment
So you do have these rear air vents and standard equipment across all of the trim levels and down below that you will also
notice our heated rear seats
which are optional in the premier trim and
Down below that you will also find two smart charging USB ports and on this high-end model
We do also have a household style outlet down below that
Now here in the center we do have a fold up armrest with covers inside
and
Off to the left here. We have LED lighting and an assist grip and
like I mentioned
Before this is one of the largest offerings in the class and that definitely shows behind drew seating position
I have about I would say at least a foot of space
Between my knees in the seat back, which is very impressive and my feet can easily slide up on the seat
So hitting around to the tailgate of the equinox
It is standard hands-free power on the premier trim or it's optionally just regular power on the LT
So to open it just wave your foot under the bumper
Now once inside the equinoxes trunk
You are gonna find a little bit smaller space than you would in most of the rivals
You'll find 30 cubic feet of space behind the second row seats
And if you fold them it expands to 64 cubic feet now
Like I said, that is a little bit smaller than a lot of the main offerings like the Honda CRV and Toyota rav4
However, Chevy does finish it very nicely back here
So you do have a carpeted floor board and underneath of the floor. We do have a little bit more storage space
It actually goes all the way to the very back and it's probably eight inches deep
Now off to the side you will find the controls do fold the seats
So if you just grab these little low lovers and pull and they do fold nice and flat
Now over here on the passenger seat it is optionally eight-way power in the premier trim
while the other trims do have a four-way manually adjusting
Now in front of the passenger you do have nice materials and down below that you will find a good sized glovebox
it is nicely dampened and
Up top, we have a Sun Visor with integrated lights and a mirror and it does also detach and exit
Well guys that sums up all the rear areas of this Equinox
So now let's go ahead and get on the road and see how that 1.5 liter turbo performs
All right, so let's go ahead and talk about the powertrain options
Now this vehicle unlike a lot of the competition actually has three different engine options
so what we have is the base option, that's the most common configuration is a 1.5 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder making
170 horsepower and 203 pala feet of torque and it is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission
now Chevy also offers a more powerful 2 liter four-cylinder engine and that makes 252 horsepower and
260 to pound-feet of torque and is paired with a 9 speed automatic transmission
And finally, there is also a diesel model now. I've heard some rumors. It's a little unclear
What trims are going to be offered with the diesel this coming up here
they're going to be eliminating some different configurations of it and it's not been EPA rated or anything yet for 2020, but
as a that what we've probably at 1.6 liter turbo diesel making
136 horsepower and 236 pounds of torque and that's routed through a 6-speed automatic transmission as well as
Far as your fuel economy the 1.5 liter with front-wheel drive gets 26 City 31 highway 28 combined
the 2-liter front-wheel drive is 22 city 29 highway 25 combined and
Then like I already mentioned that diesel does not have ratings at this time
But anyways that is it for the powertrain information so let's go ahead and see how it works on the road
so upon initial acceleration there
The equinox feels pretty good. This is a you know, small displacement engine, even for the class you usually the engines are
naturally aspirated or
a larger turbo
But it certainly doesn't feel too weak or anything
Yeah, I think it feels kinda competitive it's you know, it's not the most powerful one in the class or anything like that
But you know, it feels pretty class competitive here in the space form
And if you don't find that acceptable then it is worth noting that Chevy does have the 2-liter option if you want that
And it even even though it does cost a little bit more, you know
You have that option and that will put it at the top of its class in terms of comfort
That's right. Chevy is pretty unique in that
That's certainly not been
So we're cruising down the highway here at 55 MPH
Very smooth and very quiet
This is a really loud road I know from personal experience no matter what you drive on this road, usually it
a lot more Road roar than
Typical roads give you but this is handling it well, it's still hushed in here
I feel like I have a conversation at a
normal speaking voice
and
Then I also don't hear any wind noise whatsoever
Yeah, and her rides really really comfortably too you know it almost felt like we were sitting still, you know, I'm driving 55
I've been around in that corner there
You could definitely tell the equinox is a more luxury minded option compared to some of the rivals
and
The steering is very light
but of course that is typical
And you have a little bit of body roll. Nothing too bad. I'm going to like make your passenger's for sick or anything
But just enough to keep things real nice and comfortable like we already said it does ride very well. I mean we're up to
55 again I mean, I'm really really comfortable the seats are nice, you know, and it's quiet
Just very smooth we're about to hit the bridge here. Just very little makes it into the cabin it's almost pretty
uncharacteristic for the class to be that smooth
It really it kind of feels like a bigger car
I guess a big way to put it if it rides like it's a bigger and heavier
Vehicle what a lot
So overall, this is definitely a pleasant driving vehicle
You know the I don't really know exactly what to say about it. And I think that is actually a compliment in this class
because
It's not an exciting vehicle to drive. Sure
but
In this class of vehicle what you're looking for is that comfort that everyday you
Know driving abilities so you can just get in it Drive be comfortable
Have a nice experience each time, you know, and I think it really does that. Well, there's no characteristic of this that
Like there's no fatal flaw I guess is what I'm trying to say. It does everything well with
The driving experience and should be very satisfactory
All righty, and now let's go ahead and discuss the pricing for the 2020 Chevy Equinox
so for your very base L model that's going to start at twenty three thousand eight hundred dollars and
All of these prices are for the one point five liter turbo engine and front-wheel drive configuration
Then you have the LS one rung above that and that's going to come in at twenty six thousand three hundred dollars
Which is up four hundred over last year?
then one more rung up on that is the LT for twenty seven thousand five hundred which is up three hundred dollars and
Then you have the premier which is the fully loaded model
Which is what we have and that's gonna start at thirty one thousand four hundred dollars
Was which is also up three hundred dollars over last year
now if you want to opt for that 2-liter engine
That's going to be around twenty five hundred dollars extra and all wheel drive is an extra charge on top of that as well
now as far as how this particular
Equinox is equipped
We do have the premier trim with the 1.5 liter engine and optional all-wheel drive, and we do also have several options
packages checked off. So we have the confidence and convenience to package for
1650 as well as the
infotainment package for eleven twenty five and
Then we have the destination charge which has been raised this year from nine. Ninety five to eleven ninety five
So the price for this one as equipped comes in at thirty six thousand nine hundred and seventy dollars
Which is pretty class competitive
but it is worth noting that if you want to get it fully loaded it is going to be quite a bit more expensive than
a lot of the rivals
As you can tell we don't have a moonroof or anything like that and that is going to be additional charges
And it can you know go well over forty thousand in the upper trams with the higher end engine
Well guys we've enjoyed watching this first in-depth look at the
2020 Chevy Equinox
premiere
Pleased at those items and scribe buttons if you haven't already and we'll catch you next time as a sample more of the latest automotive
delicacies!

2015 Chevrolet Equinox | CarGurus Test Drive Review

2015 Chevrolet Equinox | CarGurus Test Drive Review

CarGurus:

What do T-bills, compact crossovers, and the
Cowboys choking the playoffs all have in
common
in america they're all safe bets the
2015
Chevrolet Equinox is about a safe as
digging a hole in your backyard for your
money
or learning shipbuilding if you live
near the coast
redesign in 2010 the 2015 model features
an
updated facia and some redesigning on
how they market the thing
but we'll talk about that later right
now let's just celebrate the Chevrolet
Equinox's
copious amounts of ordinary
Ok so ordinary isn't maybe the barest
assessment despite looking like the same
Equinox that we had for two years
the interiors pretty tech'd out like a lotta
Chevrolets
the Equinox comes equipped with WiFi
capabilities which
if you have an OnStar subscription means
that you can use your car as a hotspot
for about 25 bucks a month and that's
the bare minimum
you can get about 200 megs data a month
which
if you ask anybody with a cell phone is
or isn't a whole lot of data
realistically families that are going to
use a lotta data
those subscription plans are to be about
50 bucks a month which
is worth it if you want to keep your
kids quiet the back with iPad's
the interior scheme is fairly
well thought out even if the buttons and
controls
seem a little cramped in there storage
all around the Equinox is equal parts
copious
and accessible an interior space makes a
hell of a lot of sense for families
there's thirty one and a half cubic feet
of space in the back with the seats up
63.7 cubic feet when the seats down
a friend that actually moved all of his
life cross-country in one of these things
throw in the family dog too the Equinox
comfortably fits five adults with when
you get here
in the v6 is rated to tow 3500 pounds
which is a small boat or trailer full of ATV's
outside the Equinox is a little bit of
a snooze fest but that's okay
because the car really has no pretension
other than being a family hauler
which it is the good news is is when
2016 models hit show rooms later this
year they'll have a different front
facia and that's in preparation for the
Equinox moving to a smaller more
progressive platform
that underscores the idea that the
current Equinox
is on older aging platform that may not
matter to a lot of buyers considering
Chevrolet sold 250,000
Equinox the last year which doesn't
mean that it's the best crossover on the
planet
it just means it's the right size for a
lot of families but it's not
one-size-fits-all
the Equinox comes in either front or
all-wheel-drive versions
with a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder or 3.6 liter 6 cylinder
married to a six-speed automatic
neither version cracks the thirty mile
per gallon barrier
in this car the v6 ranges in the low 20s
when it comes to mileage
the engine isn't completely refined but
it's not super rough
it'll shuffled on the road with plenty of gusto
so but when you press to pass
you know that you're asking a lot from
the busy motor
driving the Equinox isn't aw inspiring
either the boxy frame
leans and pitches rolls and rocks under
hurried driving conditions
and as a reminder of how old the chassis
is but it's also a reminder of how much
its competitors like the CX 5
really have the compact crossover market
dialed in but the news is not all bad
a 22,120 to start and 36,000 here when
equipped like our tester
you can get a lot of car for your money
now it's inescapable that the Equinox
is an older crossover on an aging
chassis but
for the right amount of money you can
get you guessed it
a safe bet for family car

2018 Chevrolet Equinox - What You Need To Know

2018 Chevrolet Equinox - What You Need To Know

TestDriveNow PREVIEWS By AUTO CRITIC STEVE HAMMES:

The timing couldn’t be better for Chevrolet
to completely redesign their very popular
small SUV.
As the brand’s best-selling vehicle not
named Silverado, the success of this all-new
2018 Equinox is crucial.
But that doesn’t mean its creators kept
things status quo.
This Equinox introduces 3 new turbocharged
engines, an available 9-speed automatic transmission
and a more compact platform that more efficiently
utilizes space.
Significantly shorter in length, the new Equinox
is more easily maneuverable yet manages to
offer similar cargo space as the outgoing
model while maintaining its rear seat legroom.
A new design for the split-fold rear seats
helps to create a flatter floor for easier
loading.
A number of GM’s high-end safety tech features
have made their way into the Equinox as well,
including the Safety Alert Seat, a surround
vision camera, collision alert, automatic
braking, lane keep assist and rear seat reminder.
Teen Driver is also offered, allowing parents
to set controls and review an in-vehicle report
card.
Available in front- or all-wheel drive, the
base engine is now a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder
making 170 turbocharged horses paired to a
6-speed auto, rated at 28mpg in combined driving.
A 2.0-liter turbo matched to a 9-speed auto
generates 252 horsepower and for the big surprise,
there’s a 1.6-liter turbo-diesel outputting
236 pound-feet of torque and netting 40mpg
highway.
Max trailering remains the same at 3,500 pounds
with the 2.0-liter motor.
Weighing approximately 400 pounds less, the
switchable all-wheel drive system also contributes
to better mileage by disconnecting from the
rear axle when not needed.
On the infotainment front, there are 7”
and 8” screens depending on trim with Apple
CarPlay and Android Auto as well as OnStar
with its 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
An entry-level Equinox L is priced from $24,475,
followed by LS, LT and Premier trims topping
out at around $35,000.

2018 Chevrolet Equinox Model Review | Edmunds

2018 Chevrolet Equinox Model Review | Edmunds

Edmunds:

[MUSIC PLAYING]

SPEAKER 1: Right here we have
the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox.
It's completely
redesigned this year
and it's a huge improvement.
The big question is,
is it good enough?
[MUSIC PLAYING]
So with this 2018 redesign
for the Chevrolet Equinox,
it's kind of pushed the
dial, but not really too far.
The overall shape and some of
the style, it carries over.
But we've got nicer
headlights and this grill
that kind of echoes the Camaro.
So, a little sporty,
and a little edgy.
Now it is kind of
a big SUV shape.
Let me explain that.
Almost all SUVs have this--
this gray bar on the bottom
and it takes a lot
of the weight off
because if it was
body-colored, it'd
kind of look like a minivan
with really big wheels.
That's not really
that attractive.
Another way they shave off
some of the visual weight
is with this nice cove here
that runs all the way down
here in a curve and kind
of scoops it out there,
as well as some more
surfacing up here.
There's also a nice
chrome surround
around the windows and this
roof rack on this top trim.
In the back, the taillights
echo the headlight shapes up
front, as well as these bevels
and these run through lines,
so even though it really didn't
move the dial very far, as far
as style, it's
kind of a safe bet.
So the base engine for all
Chevy Equinoxes is a 1.5-liter
turbocharged four-cylinder.
It makes a 170 horsepower.
Not really that great.
This is the 2-liter
turbocharged four-cylinder.
It makes 252 horsepower,
and that's actually
really good in here.
Plus, it's made it to
a nine-speed automatic
transmission so you get
really good punch acceleration
off the line, but
then up top, the gears
get really tall so that
you get better fuel economy
on the highway.
Speaking of fuel economy, this
gets about 25 miles per gallon.
That's three MPG less
than the base engine,
but the real kicker is it's 5
MPG less than the Honda CR-V.
It's got a good balance
of fuel economy and power.
[MUSIC PLAYING]

So right off the
bat, there's really
nothing that's standing
out with this new Equinox.
That's not entirely a bad
thing because if there
was an issue, well, I would
definitely know about it.
The power with this
optional 2-liter engine--
it's plenty.
I've got all the
power I need to pass.
Ride quality is
smooth, but I'm still
feeling all of
the imperfections,
so it's pretty much like the
rest of the SUVs in this class.
What I am noticing though, is
a little bit more road noise
than I'm used to
hearing in the class.
Wind noise-- not so bad.
The engine doesn't sound half
bad either when you get on it.

It's got some grunt.
As far as power is concerned,
if I wanted to pass,
just lay into the throttle.
It's fairly quick to downshift.
It's got nine speeds
in the transmission,
so it kicks down fairly
quickly a few gears.
This time around, there are
a lot more advanced safety
features.
Pretty much what we expect.
One thing we have is the
frontal collision warning
in mitigation.
There's a button right
here, amongst all the cruise
control buttons, and it allows
you to adjust the sensitivity.
You don't have to go
searching through menus,
you don't have to hit five
different buttons to get there.
You have one, two,
three different levels
so that if, say you're
getting a lot of false alarms,
or you think it's
too sensitive, you
could have it fire off
a little bit later.
If you're getting a warning
from the frontal collision
or the lane departure, you
start feeling this buzzing
from the seat.
It's significantly
stronger than, let's say,
the vibrate mode on your phone.
But also, I get--
it's kind of a head up
display but not really-- it's
just some flashing lights
that shine back to alert you
that traffic is slowing down.
It's bright enough, it
gets your attention,
and if I didn't hit
the brakes, well, it
would hit the brakes for
me, fairly aggressively.
Outward visibility is OK.
I feel like nowadays,
the rear window
is getting smaller and smaller.
This one seems to
be pretty generous.
It gives you a very
good indication
of what's back there.
With this trim and
this option level,
you also get the 360-degree
surround-view camera.
Pretty much all the guess-work
is taken out for you.
As far as climate
control goes, well, it's
dual-zone automatic
climate control.
Once I set it, I
really don't have
to mess with it after that.
But I do have one gripe.
It's these vertical vents
next to the infotainment.
Visually, it frames
it up nicely,
but in practice, it's a little
prone to some cold spots.
It's chilling my arm
and my knuckles--
not ideal.
I point it away, but now
I'm not getting on me,
so I'd prefer if these were
horizontal vents that give
a little wider dispersed flow.
So yeah, that's one of those
form over function things.
It's a little bit of a
sacrifice, not a deal-breaker.
All right, so we're inside
the Equinox and design-wise,
again, it's an improvement.
It's got some nice, graceful
shapes framing everything.
Materials quality,
however, it's a little bit
below what we're used to
seeing from some of the latest
crossovers.
This, in particular,
is kind of hard plastic
and the graining almost
reminds me of a dinosaur toy
or something, like
the the dinosaur skin.
There are some soft
touch materials.
I mean, they really do
feel like vinyl or plastic,
but they are a well-shaped.
They don't bother my
elbows after a long drive.
The steering-wheel controls
are pretty much just
the regular Chevrolet
steering wheel,
which you'll see in
almost all of their cars.
And that's not such
a bad thing, either.
These covered rubber buttons,
they're easy to clean.
They're actually
fairly easy to use too.
The latest Chevy MyLink
system, it's quick to respond.
One of the best
things though, it
comes with Apple CarPlay
and Android Auto, standard.
The seats-- they're pretty good.
I'm missing a little bit of
thigh-support at the end, here.
But I can see why they did
that too, for shorter drivers,
you certainly don't want a
seat cushions that's too long.
With the Equinox,
there's plenty of room
for all your personal effects.
You have some decent-sized
cup holders, here.
You have a wireless
charging pad, as well.
And this center-bin
is really deep.
You can get a lot
of stuff down there.
And there's even a
nice little pocket
here for your cell phone.
Right here you
have two USB ports,
and an auxiliary jack,
another two in the center
bin, and yet another
two for the backseats--
USB ports for everyone.
So here I am in the backseat
of a 2018 Chevy Equinox
and it's pretty
spacious, actually.
I'm actually getting
a decent amount
of thigh-support, which is a
little rare in compact SUVs.
I have plenty of legroom.
I'm just kind of average
in height, so yeah,
that's pretty nice.
Even with this
panoramic sunroof,
my hair's just barely
brushing the headliner.
Same materials
quality back here.
Other SUVs, they'll actually
use these kind of materials
back here, but nicer materials
up front because you generally
have kids back here who are
kind of messing stuff up.
There's two more
USB ports back here
and there's also a 120-volt
household outlet down below.
You know, if you have a
laptop that you need charged
or even if you have a
game console hooked up
to an in-car entertainment
system-- that
would be pretty cool.
Another power point
here, another 12-volt,
and we have two-stage
seat heaters, here.
You can either choose both
the seat cushion the seat back
to heat, or just the seat back.
And that's only for
the outboard seats.
Right here, nice cup
holders, nice armrest,
it's the right height.

Now the center seat, it's,
as you can see, pretty flat.
And when you're sitting
in that position,
it actually feels like it's
got a little bit of a crown,
so probably more suitable
for a child's seat or very
small person.
Otherwise, yeah, I would
be totally fine back here
for a road trip.
So when it comes to
cargo with the Equinox,
it's kind of a mixed bag.
I do like that it has the
hands-free power lift gate.
Now, you noticed I kicked
it on the left side.
I had to look it
up in the manual
because I was trying
to do the swipe thing--
that wasn't working.
It has to be there, it
has to be an upward kick.
Now, cargo space.
30 cubic feet behind the second
row, 63 with them folded.
It is a decent amount, but
it's significantly less
than the Honda
CR-V. So, it really
is going to depend on how
much stuff you really have.
I do like that you have a lot
of underfloor storage here
and these seats,
like the CR-V, fold
flat without having to reach
forward or open the back doors.
So depending on what
your priorities are
and how much storage
you really need,
the Equinox might actually
hold all your stuff.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
So the bottom line for the 2018
Chevrolet Equinox is price.
It's expensive for
what you're getting.
As tested, it's $40,000.
Honestly, I mean,
that's the territory
for the starting price for
the BMW X3 and Audi Q5.
So it's practical, it's got all
the flexibility you need out
of an SUV this size, but
you do have to pay attention
to the options you're adding.
It's going to get
expensive real quick.

2010 Chevy Equinox Review

2010 Chevy Equinox Review

MPGomatic:

I'm Dan Gray for MPGomatic.com and this is
a 2010 Chevy Equinox.
The 2010 Chevy Equinox is available in both
front-wheel (FWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD)
configurations, and can be fitted with a 2.4-liter
inline four or 3.0-liter V6 engine. A six-speed
automatic transmission is used exclusively.
The four cylinder engine produces 182 horsepower
(HP) and 172 foot pounds of torque, while
the V6 delivers 264 HP and 222 foot pounds
of torque.
The EPA's fuel economy estimates for the four-cylinder
equipped FWD 2010 Chevy Equinox are 22 city
/ 32 highway miles per gallon (MPG). The
AWD Equinox is rated at 20 city / 29 highway
MPG.
When it comes to mileage, the Equinox delivers.
We rolled up more than five hundred miles
on the odometer of our Navy Blue Metallic
AWD review unit and nailed the official mileage
estimates with an average of 29.6 MPG on the
Interstate highway and 25.4 MPG combined.
Itรข€™s worth noting that our test vehicle
had just hundreds of miles on the odometer
when delivered. Weรข€™d expect the fuel
efficiency to rise once the engine is run
through its break in period.
While the fuel-efficient inline fourรข€™s
acceleration isnรข€™t blistering, itรข€™s
adequate for the Equinox 2LTรข€™s 3770
pound curb weight.
[PAUSE]
As always, we recommend driving with the instantaneous
fuel economy display active, in order to achieve
the best gas mileage with a light-footed driving
technique.
In addition to the real-time fuel economy
display, the 2010 Equinoxรข€™s Driverรข€™s
Information Center provides tire pressure
data, oil life, average fuel economy, two
trip meters, and fuel range, among other statistics.
The 2010 Equinox is decidedly car-like as
it delivers a comfortable and quiet ride.
Whether youรข€™re headed to a soccer tournament
across the state or to the mountains a day
away, the five-passenger Equinoxรข€™s
ride, fuel-efficiency and interior capacities
and amenities are most welcome.
An 8-way power driverรข€™s seat with lumbar
support is standard on the Equinox 2LT, as
is Bluetooth phone support. Leather appointed
seats with heated front buckets are optional
in the 2LT (and standard in the LTZ).
Climate control is single-zone.
When you shift the Equinox into reverse, the
Equinox 2LTรข€™s standard rearview mirror-based
Rear Camera display activates, making backing
chores less difficult.
The eight-speaker XM Satellite-equipped Pioneer
audio system includes both auxiliary and USB
inputs. iPod support is quite good, with access
to playlists from the dash and steering wheel
controls.
Our Equinox review unit was outfitted with
the optional Audio System and dual screen
DVD Rear Seat Entertainment package, complete
with remote control and two headsets.
There are power outlet at the base of the
dash, inside the center console, at the back
of the console (along with A/V inputs), and
in the cargo area.
Rear seat leg and headroom are abundant. The
60/40 split MultiFlex rear seat slides forward
and backward to accommodate passengers and
cargo.
A power liftgate is optional on the 2LT and
standard on the LTZ.
The 2010 Equinox provides plenty of space
for to haul your stuff home from Costco, with
63.7 cubic feet of cargo volume.
All-in-all, the 2010 Chevy Equinox has the
potential to shake up the crowded five-seat
crossover segment with its combination of
ride, quiet, comfort, and fuel economy.

2018 Chevrolet Equinox Review

2018 Chevrolet Equinox Review

Cars.com:

the redesigned Chevrolet Equinox is less
distinctive than its predecessor which
had a certain bigger-is-better mantra
among small SUVs this one feels more
like its immediate competitors but it
gets there with undeniable refinement
first off its closer in size to them
nearly 5 inches shorter than the 2017
equinox this redesigned 2018 sets about
400 pounds which is more than 10 percent
of its total curb weight the effect is
immediately noticeable even with the
equinoxes new base engine a 1.5 liter
turbo horse owner which avoids the
underpowered feeling of the previous
generation course on their equinox it
doesn't exactly feel powerful but it's
certainly powerful enough and that
wasn't really the case before now an
optional 2-liter turbo four-cylinder is
a worthy replacement for last year's
excellent v6 it delivers punchy low
range acceleration and smooth powerful
revving and it pairs with a 9 speed
automatic transmission now that's a
style of transmission in other cars that
we found a sometimes be more trouble
than it's worth but that's not the case
here the nine speed shifts smoothly at
low speeds and it kicks down multiple
gears as needed at higher speeds without
too much delay ride quality a standout
feature in the previous generation
Equinox remains solid here
the suspension soaks up bumps without
too much reverberation I actually found
it suitably soft although to other
editors said it was on the firm side but
everyone agreed that its high quality
and well controlled and all that gives
the equinox a flavor of a very
comfortable high speed Cruiser not so
much one you want to really throw around
on winding roads though the 2-liter
engine packs plenty of punch but there's
a lot of Sufi steering plenty of body
roll just a lot of fun when the roads
become curvy now small SUVs not exactly
known for their handling shop but if
that's something you value take a look
at the Ford Escape or the Mazda cx-5
both of those are still kings of the
handling pill now we detail some of the
more practical elements of the equinox
in our first look of this redesign so be
sure to check out that video suffice it
to say cabin quality is mixed but
must-have tech features like apple
carplay and android auto are both
standard so that's a good thing now
visibility and seat comfort could be a
little bit better but this is still a
very good driving redesign for one of
Chevrolet's most popular vehicle
SUVs are riding a wave of consumer
popularity right now so it looks like
chevy is giving shoppers more of what
they already want

4K Review: 2018 Chevrolet Equinox Quick Drive | Consumer Reports

4K Review: 2018 Chevrolet Equinox Quick Drive | Consumer Reports

Consumer Reports:

The new 2018 Chevrolet
Equinox is out,
and it looks to turn up the heat
in the small SUV competition.
The previous and
bigger Equinox seemed
lost when compared to larger
models such as the Toyota
Highlander and Hyundai Santa Fe.
And it also couldn't
compete with smaller SUVs
like the Toyota RAV-4, Honda
CR-V, and Subaru Forester.
The last Equinox had
underperforming engines,
so so visibility,
and not as much
equipment as competing SUVs.
So this new model couldn't
have come at a better time.
The new Equinox has
finally found its identity,
and goes smaller.
In fact, it's now five inches
shorter and about 400 pounds
lighter than the last model.
There's also no more
six-cylinder engine.
Instead, you can choose among
three four-cylinders, a 1.5
liter turbo, a two liter turbo,
and a fuel thrifty 1.6 liter
turbo diesel.
We bought a mid-level,
all wheel drive LT model,
which has the 170
horsepower, 1.5 liter
turbo, and six-speed automatic.
We had some popular options,
including a power rear lift
gate, a huge sunroof,
heated seats, and dual zone
automatic climate control.
We also got ours with
important safety features,
such as blind spot monitoring
and rear cross traffic alert.
Bottom line, we spent $33,730.
Looking at this price
compared to a Honda CR-V EX,
however, we're not sure you're
getting as much for your money.
So negotiate hard at
your Chevy dealer.
And we're also a little dismayed
that forward collision warning
and automatic emergency
braking are only
available in the
top trim premier.
We think this should be
standard in every model.
Spending some time
behind the wheel,
the Equinox reminds us of
GM's fine mainstream sedans,
the Chevrolet Cruze and Malibu.
That is, the Equinox
shares qualities
that we admire in these cars,
such as a quiet interior,
mostly absorbant ride, and
reasonably responsive handling.
The 1.5 liter turbo
gets the job done.
Not overly powerful,
but adequate.
The transmission
isn't the slickest.
You do feel some shifts, but
it's not too objectionable.
The stop start feature is
also fairly unobtrusive.
The front seats have
8-way power adjustments,
including 2-way power lumbar.
They're reasonably comfortable
over a long commute.
Front visibility isn't
bad, but the rear 3/4 view
is compromised by thick pillars.
A rear view camera is standard.
The rear seat is
especially roomy,
with both flat to offer
a large cargo space.
Even though there are some
soft touch materials, and a bit
of chrome scattered about, the
overall feel of the interior
is a bit on the cheap
side, reminding us
of a cut rate rental car.
We like this version of GM's
MyLink Infotainment System.
It's easy to use and comes with
Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto
compatibility.
There's also a good
number of USB reports.
Like a prizefighter, whether
or not the new Equinox
can succeed at a lower weight
class is yet to be seen.
So far, we're impressed
with what we see.
Especially, since it embraces
many of the attributes
that we really like in a
few of GM's better sedans.
We'll know more as we
accumulate the miles
and do our formal testing.

Why The 2019 Chevy Equinox Is The Best Compact SUV Available

Why The 2019 Chevy Equinox Is The Best Compact SUV Available

Jim Trenary Chevrolet:

What's going on everybody?
We are at Jim Trenary Chevrolet in O'Fallon,
Missouri and today we're gonna take a look
at the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox.
This is a real nice vehicle.
As you can see, it does have the 19-inch polished
wheels, Equinox badge, and it does have the
new mirrors with the chrome package.
Real ease of accessibility opening up the
tailgate, you can do it with one or two fingers.
And a lot of storage room inside the 2019
Chevrolet Equinox.
You have the second row seating is all fold-down.
You do have the additional storage here underneath
the back compartment.
And the cargo hooks as well.
So, checking out the interior of the vehicle,
you do have the 8-inch LED LCD touchscreen
monitor here with all the other controls.
It is bluetooth 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, push
button start, you do have a place to put your
phone in the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox with your
USB cords, your auxiliary cords as well.
You have air conditioned seats, heated seats,
heated steering wheel, full leather package
is in this vehicle.
It does come standard with the On-Star.
On the controls on the steering wheel here
with your bluetooth voice activation, all
your radio controls, as well as your cruise
controls and your traction assist as well.
One of the cool features on this side over
here is going to be the tailgate assist mode,
so you can open the tailgate all the way or
in 3/4 mode, so if you are pulling in to the
garage and you shut the garage and you only
want the tailgate to go up 3/4 of the way
you can set that so it doesn't run in to the
garage door and ding the tailgate of the vehicle.
It does come standard with a 7 speaker Bose
surround sound stereo system with a built-in
subwoofer.
And also the very large panoramic sunroof
as you can see, so really really nice super
cool feature.
Real comfortable second row seating in the
2019 Chevrolet Equinox.
I'm 6'2" and I fit very comfortably in the
back of this vehicle.
And that's great for vacations, long drives,
or just runarounds within the city.
Lot of room for the family, friends, kids.
Air conditioned air vents, AC vents in the
back right here.
With obviously your two USB ports.
You do have heated and air conditioning second
row passenger seats as well, which is a real
nice feature.
Taking another look at the very large panoramic
sunroof that does come standard on the 2019
Equinox Premier edition as well as the lighting
and the leather package.
So, real nice features.
Power windows, power doors, power locks, power
sunroof, it's a real beauty in a vehicle.

any other vehicles we have in stock go ahead

2019 Chevrolet Equinox LT FWD

2019 Chevrolet Equinox LT FWD

Bob Hook Chevy:

Hi this is Colleen Van Houten at Bob
Hooke Chevrolet and today I just want to
talk to you a little bit about equinox
and what makes it the number one seller
here at Bob hook Chevrolet. As you can
see, the Equinox is probably one of the
most stylish crossovers that are on the
market today. We have a variety of trim
levels. This one is actually a four wheel
drive or front wheel drive - excuse me.
front wheel drive LT with the 2.0 turbo,
but I think what makes the equinox
probably the number one seller isn't so
much the great styling sure that catches
your eye, it's what's on the inside and
what makes it so different and unique
and actually usable. It's a value vehicle
for the money that you get so I'm gonna
show you a couple of things that really
stand out to me as to why this to me is
probably the number one crossover. First
of all if you check out the wheels and
tires you still get that sporty feel I
mean even if you're driving kids around
don't you want to look good doing it so
with the equinox it's gonna give you the
sleek design of the body plus you get
those awesome sporty wheels on top of it.
This is a five passenger vehicle and
you do have great shoulder hip and leg
room in the back seat - as well as plenty
of room for those of you who may still
need to be utilizing car seats. What I
like about you equinox is the utility.
This is a very easy lift tailgate. And
I'm gonna show you - that you simply
squeeze here. It's gonna automatically
adjust. See you don't have to be
Superwoman or Superman to lift the
tailgate. You've got this huge cargo area.
What's really cool is beneath here and
this is where most of our competitors
would have a spare tire which is gonna
eat up any storage capacity in the
equinox - or you're gonna be able to go ahead
and put the spare tire is underneath there.
But you still have this wonderful
storage area that you can utilize on top
of anything that you may want to put in
this cargo area. Now say you got your
arms full you're trying to pack whether
it's for spring break maybe you're going
on a summer trip with the kids or maybe
you're just got groceries or you've made
a trip to Home Depot and you need to
release these seats well ordinarily
you'd be bustling and hustle and trying
to get over into the back, but up here
there's actually release. So all you need
to do is just a quick pull and if that's
the side you need or if you need both
you clip both but it is a 60/40 split.
It's very easy to release those and get them
both down, so that you can start loading
whatever it is that you're needing to do
without the inconvenience of juggling
back and forth between the backseat and
the cargo area. There is one charging
station here and there's also going to
be charging stations - there's one here so -
you can with the cord have charging
capabilities here. And then
again you don't have to be superwoman or
Superman to lift the seats. They're not
difficult at all. they just re-latch.
And then you also have USB right here so
if the kids have their games or whatever
it is that they're needing to do on their phones
then they have access to
another outlet... Yeah okay so we've got
that going on. This particular model does
come with the roof rails
If you, say you pack like
sometimes I know I'm guilty of packing,
and that's a little more than I should
probably, you got that extra space on
the roof that you can carry any
suitcases or additional items that may
need to be racked. Or say you just ran to the Home Depot and you've got a larger item.
That will allow you to do so without
having to 'actually have' a truck. So this
is what's called the proximity key, and I
don't think I'd ever own another vehicle
without a proximity key. The beauty of it
is that I can have this key very deep
within my mom purse and never have to be
able to fish it out or worry about
where I put my keys. It just gets put in
the bag and never have to think about it.
The beauty of it is you can unlock the car without using a key.
There's a button on the outside handle,
and then to start the vehicle you simply
put your foot on the brake, push the
button, and there you go. The vehicle has
been started. Obviously it's letting you
know everything in the system is checking
before you take off. The other features
that are on this key are a remote start
feature. That's this button here, so on
cold days when - if you live in Kentucky
Indiana, or pretty much anywhere that hasn't decided whether it wants to be spring or
winter yet - this will allow you to either
heat up the vehicle or in the summertime
cool off that the interior of the
vehicle before you get in. It also does
have a release. You hit it twice for the
tailgate to open so that you can load
things if you needed to, and then as well
as a panic button or an alarm button.
Oftentimes we use these just so that we
can find the car in a crowded area like
an airport a mall or those types of
things. So that's the proximity key and
like I said it's probably one of the
best inventions ever made in the car
industry. So let's talk about what
Equinox offers. Well first of all you can
see by the dash it's a really cool
design. You've got a lot of chrome
accents. It's just very driver friendly.
Everything is very easily
accessible before the driver. So you've
got a gear-shifter... pretty
self-explanatory... here's some
a little different. This is your parking
break. And this is just a button that you
would push to engage or disengage. got
your, obviously, cupholders. Here's some more USB charging. Because this vehicle, like
most on the Chevy lineup, has Apple an
Android Auto - so Apple Play and Android
Auto - which means basically, with the USB
cable, you're able to go ahead and play
your music from your phone through the
car system, so that you can customize
anything the way that you want to do
that. Now I don't have my phone with me
or I would demonstrate that for you but
it's a very easy process. The car just
simply recognizes that you have the USB
in place and then you choose media that
you want. So let's talk about this
touchscreen you know in the in the age
where our kids are now probably a little
bit smarter than we are
this is probably one of the most
user-friendly systems that I've been
exposed to. You see it tells you that
there is no phone connected. When you
come to the dealership and purchase a
vehicle we go ahead we will pair your
phone for you. It stores all of your
contacts and really that's all you have
to do with regards to a phone because
all of the controls that you would need
to take a call or make a call are
located on the steering wheel. So no more
distracted driving or unsafe driving
because you're worried about touching
something over here or having to deal
with something here or on your phone to
make a call.
Everything is voice-activated. You simply
push tell it to 'call John' And if there's
more than one John it'll bring up all
the choices and ask you politely to
choose which number of the John that you
want or call - mom - whoever it is that you
have in your phone is what it's going to
do for you. Likewise, if you have an
incoming call you simply pick that up
and when you're done you hit the hang-up
button. So everything can be done without
you taking your eyes off of the road and
being distracted because of incoming
calls or needing to make a call.
So we'll talk about
some of the other features we have.
This one is a dual climate control which
means basically someone like me who may
like it a little bit cooler, I can
control my side with say 75 comfortable
75. Somebody sitting in this seat likes
to have it a little bit warmer and you
simply just turn the knob and you can
control that there. Or you can sync it
and everyone gets to enjoy whatever the
driver dictates. These are all pretty
self-explanatory - your fan and so forth.
Here's the really cool thing about the
equinox. This one is is has heated seats
and so a push of a button and all of a
sudden you're getting that comfort. This
is usually only an option that's
available on High Line vehicles. And
again this is available with our cloth
interior you don't have to go up to
something with leather. And it is default
to the highest level and then you simply
push the button to get it to the comfort
level that you are wanting. And they are
independent of each other so one person
can have theirs on or the other. It doesn't have to
be at the same time. So let's talk about
this touchscreen. You've got a little
home button right here. That's your go-to.
There's really no way that you can break
this system. And you can see that there's
a whole lot going on here. So we
talked about the phone audio. That's your
radio and so forth.
You do have am/fm and then you do have a
short subscription to Sirius XM radio.
And so you simply continue whether it's
through touch or manual however you want
to adjust it. And it'll go to your
favorite stations. We will help you
program all of your stations as well so
that you simply just have to push one
button and get to whatever it is that
you're most accustomed to listening to.
So we'll hit the home button again.
Navigation that's a big one and while I
know a lot of folks use their phone what
we do is we can program it your home
address your work address so that it
knows those are the two most common
areas that you're going to. Then once
you put in an address or a destination
that you want to it will save it in
there under previous destinations, so
you're not having to constantly - maybe
you take a trip to Grandma
she lives out in the country you - can go
ahead and put that or say you go to
Indianapolis quite frequently and you
want to put an address in there that way
you're not constantly having to input
all the information all the time. It
defaults and it will save all of that
for you. We talked about this we talked
about the carplay and the Android auto
settings. We customize everything in
your vehicle so we can customize this
screen and it will be able to recognize
the key fob and it will be personalized
for you. We can make this for whomever. The
primary driver is the primary phone, but
you can pair several devices to this so
if you and a significant other
should be driving in the vehicle at the
same time and you wanted them to have control because
they have a bunch of phone calls to make
so you want them to be the primary phone. You can adjust and you can toggle back and forth,
which makes it very convenient. Again a
lot of this is customizable. Everything
is touchscreen.
OK - the MyChevy app and the OnStar
feature are available as well.
This particular unit does have the
sunroof and I would like for you to notice the big panoramic sunroof. the nice thing is that
the other passengers also get to
enjoy that open space feel and the
scenery that a sunroof allows you to
have. So that is really cool - we tease
that this is the taco holder of the vehicle,
but actually it's for sunglasses or
whatever you might want to put there. I'm
not gonna demonstrate because it just started
snowing outside so we won't demonstrate
the opening of a sunroof but that's
pretty self-explanatory if you've ever
had one these buttons. I will explain that
relatively quickly. Um the very cool
thing on the screen.... ok the very cool
thing about - like I said about the screen
up here - is that it's all very easy to
read. We do customize the brightness. You
can dim it or brighten it to whatever is
most comfortable for you. Automatic
headlights
are on, we've got the headlight switch
here, your rear - you do have a rear wiper
on this vehicle so you're not having to
worry about visibility. The one thing
that I do want to show you that this
vehicle is equipped with, because some
people are intimidated coming out of a
view like a car and a - say a- sedan and
going into a little bit lengthier
vehicle like a crossover. This vehicle is
equipped with a backup camera and the
beautiful thing about this backup camera
is that as I turn the wheel it's
actually going to show me how I'm going
to end up - OK?
This vehicle is also equipped with lane
departure warning, or lane departure
assist, which means that if you don't have
your blinker on (and it is using all the
sensors and the cameras that are on the
vehicle) and it can see the lines for your
lane in the event that you start
wandering out of your lane. So you're
taking that spring break trip and even
driving for 12 hours and you're getting
a little sleepy. It will actually
warn you that you are drifting out of
the lane. Now when you have your blinker
on and you're trying to move over same
crowded traffic, or what have you it also
is equipped with blind spot detection. So
it will monitor oncoming traffic on each
side of you. And if you put your blinker
on and it feels that the oncoming
traffic (based on its speed and your
speed - could potentially collide) it will
warn you and you will see the car with
the little star on it in your
side mirrors - light up like an amber
color.
Um and that will warn you as well. You do
have rear park assist on this vehicle,
which kind of makes it nice. Again I
don't ever want someone to be
intimidated by the size. This is a nice
sized vehicle, but it's not overwhelming.
It's not that big boxy huge truck-like
SUV. It is a crossover. It gives you all
the utility of an SUV, but all the
feature comforts of a really nice passenger
vehicle. So again, my name is Colleen.
I'm here to help you any way that I can -
whether it be an equinox or any other
vehicle in our Chevy lineup. This happens
to be one of my favorites. Because it is
our number one seller. It's such a
versatile vehicle and it meets whether
you're a mom and your carrying kids
around or maybe a business person who
travels a lot and has some cargo that
they need - you know sales trips or
whatever they need. It's so versatile. Or
maybe you're retired and you're doing
some traveling now. This vehicle still
allows you all of the feature comforts
that a passenger car does, but the
utility of the cargo space and
versatility. You can adjust it any way
you see fit or as you need it. I would
ask you to please subscribe to our
Channel - Bob Hook Chevy - on YouTube. We're going
to be doing lots more of these videos so
that we not only can teach you about the
cars, but maybe maybe you bought one and
we went over a bunch of information
during your delivery but you have some
questions.
These will help give you some of those
pointers so that you can go, "oh yeah oh I
want to go see if maybe my car's
equipped like that." But if you have any
questions give us a call here. BUT
subscribe to our channel because we're
going to have lots of helpful videos out
there for you!
