Surround View Camera (With Trailer Reverse Guidance) | How To | 2019 Ram 2500-3500

Mopar:

[music playing]
If equipped, the Surround View Camera system
displays the surroundings and top view of
your vehicle whenever you shift into Reverse
or select the standard Backup Camera view
through the Uconnect system.
The top view shows which doors are open.
The image displays on the touchscreen along with a caution to “check entire surroundings."
After five seconds the note will disappear.
The system consists of four sequential cameras
located in the front grille, tailgate, and
side mirrors.
When you shift into Reverse, the rear camera view and top view are the default views of the system.
When enabled, active guide lines are overlaid
on the image to illustrate the width of the
projected backup path based on the steering
wheel position.
When the camera view is displayed, and vehicle
speed is below 8 mph or 13 km/h, you can press
the magnifying glass icon in the upper left
of the screen to increase the view up to 4
times its original size.
Press the icon again to return to the previous
screen.
Trailer Reverse Guidance, if equipped, can
assist the driver in backing up a trailer
by providing adjustable camera views of the
trailer and surrounding area.
The cameras are mounted on the side mirrors
and the images will be displayed side-by-side
on the touchscreen.
Left and right camera images are swapped and
mirrored on the touchscreen to show the equivalent
area behind the vehicle as though the driver
is using the side mirrors.
The system deactivates in the following conditions:
Vehicle is out of Reverse for more than 10
seconds at speeds at or above 8 mph or 13
km/h
The vehicle is shifted into Park
The ignition is cycled off
Or if the driver presses the “X” button
on the display screen if the vehicle is in
Park, Neutral or Drive
If snow, mud, or other debris collects on
the camera lens, clean the lens, rinse with
water, and dry with a soft cloth.
Do not cover the lens.
Always carefully check your surroundings before
backing up.

2017 Chevrolet Silverado: Rear View Camera

2017 Chevrolet Silverado: Rear View Camera

Bachman Chevrolet:

In this video, we'll be demoing the rear vision
cameras on the 2017 Chevy Silverado.
The 2017 Chevy Silverado, and all other new
Chevys, come standard with a rear vision camera.
This camera system is in place not only to
help you navigate into those tight parking
spaces, but to help protect you, your vehicle
and those around you from incidental contact.
Long gone are the days of nearly backing up
into a bicycle on the driveway or a poorly
parked car in the grocery store parking
lot.
Not only does the display show you what's
directly behind your vehicle, but it also
gives you a visual readout of which direction
the wheel is turning and colored level markers
so you know exactly how close an obstacle
is to your bumper.
Thanks for watching!

2020 Silverado 2500 HD - Under the Hood and Behind the Wheel

2020 Silverado 2500 HD - Under the Hood and Behind the Wheel

4WD Magazine:

Perry Mack, 4WDrive Magazine
and here I am in Bend, Oregon driving the new 2020
Silverado Heavy-duty.
We got the 3/4 ton out today but it's got the new 6.6 litre Duramax engine
mated to the 10-speed Allison transmission
and that's what's brand new.
Not too many changes in the engine this year versus last year
just a few tweaks
but definitely that new Allison makes a huge difference in how this truck drives
and how the truck tows.
Say that 10 times fast.
This is the inside of the engine, now we haven't got it on, so you can actually hear me talk
but quite a bit of thought has gone into this and some things that I really like.
There's actually a fair bit of space inside
for doing some maintenance if
you're the do-it-yourself guy
to buy this truck and run it
and one of the
things I'm going to show you from here
and then we're going to close the hood
to show more.
But they've actually done a good job of the cold air intake
and so what you can see is it flows and I'll show you the flow part next
inside, underneath that shroud
there's a water release over here
and it comes through
and drives all
that cold fresh clean air
right down into the cold air intake system.
So let me show you what it looks like
from outside.
All right This is your cold air intake.
Now that's smart to me. Smooth air,
cold air,
it's not coming through the grill swirling around getting heated up
and then going into your cold air intake.
It's going in right here.
Now the other thing you might notice
is I am a towering 5'8" tall
and as you can see
this hood is up to my shoulder already.
I'm personally gonna have to be suspended from the ceiling
on a sling in order to get inside the engine compartment
On the whole I like the look of this
and I know it's personal preference.
Some are gonna love it, some are gonna hate it.
But it's bold and it's big and it looks good.
The truck actually is a little bit higher than it used to be.
So it almost comes with a 2" lift compared to the old Silverado
and that's pretty solid.
While it's not an off-road truck - you do get some tow hooks in the front end, which is nice.
LED lights.
I'm not a huge fan of these mirrors.
They do have cameras integrated.
You get a ton of view down the side of your trailer and your truck.
But personally I'd like to see somebody rework these so that
cosmetically it blends more with the truck.
I like the running boards,
I would rip those off on my first trail ride
but again that's not what this truck is for.
If you love to tow
this is what the truck is for.
The step here is nice.
Again, being 5'8", I need a ladder to get inside here.
Some of the 6'4" guys
they make it look really easy. I'm not even gonna attempt to throw my leg over.
The only thing I don't like about the step
is the plastic is already a little loose
and that looks like something that's gonna start to collect water.
But other than that it's pretty solid.
Most of the features in the
bumper you've seen before in the Silverado
including a larger step
for work boots
and getting in.
One of the nice things they've done
is they've added quite a few hooks
in the back end.
So you've got three here, three in the
back corner
and actually they have a sliding track system as well.
So you've got plenty of tied on points to put your toys in the back.
The only other thing I'm going to talk about differently and some of the other aspects of the video,
is the 15 camera system
and as far as trailering goes, the number of views that you get in your dash,
is gonna make this truck and this system much safer to tow than anything you've ever done before.
We are in the new Duramax 6.6 litre diesel
towing.. What do you say we got back there?
14,000 pounds
and I'm here with Rich, Rich what do you do?
We have a youtube channel called Deboss Garage where we build our own trucks
and GM thought it'd be good idea to get me behind one of their new ones.
Well this is pretty cool because actually you swap diesel engines in and out of trucks so,
you know..
I currently have a Silverado with the Cummins in it.
But our next build that we
started it as a 64 C10 with a Duramax in it
Older pre emissions engine but
pretty cool. So we do these reviews
to see what we're gonna be doing ten years from now
Right, when we can afford these trucks.
Cause beautiful truck
but I'm not at that point of my life yet when I can drop this amount of coin that this truck is.
But tell me for the people that can,
actually afford this truck,
what do you think so far as far as come out of the staging area and hiting the gas?
So 15,000 pounds 14,000 pounds
and yeah, kind of told us we really want to make it seem like you can't tell if there's a trailer behind you
and I gotta say they've pretty well hit it on the nose.
My old '05 with Cummins in
it I put 10,000 pounds behind it
I know what's back there.
Right.
At 900 foot-pounds of torque
an invisible trailer, this is really cool.
You really don't know that it's there so
so right off the bat
fairly impressive.
So I know we have some anti-sway bars back there
but the truck
still feels pretty stable in the back end.
Yeah
we've got cameras on there
keep in mind that we also have professionals hooking up the trailer
that have the load placed perfectly over the tires.
The truck I can tell is squatting just slightly in the back
meaning we have
enough weight on the back tires
but a little wiggle straightens right back out again.
So there is no fix to an improperly loaded trailer
but I'd be happy to cross the country with this and not think twice about towing
Yeah yeah.
So we're doing 70 miles an hour
I'm not sure what the speed limit is, 55
the heads up display is telling me that.
I think we're coming up to our first directions
here. Turn right on FS 45 at 3.9 miles.
What do you think?
Well we're committed now if not we're
gonna see what the turning radius is
15,000 pounds.
We'll start from a dead stop or just hammer on it
Yeah let's see what happens
This is the new 10-speed Allison
yes
they were always 6-speed
and there's somebody safeties on this that I don't think you can actually hurt the truck.
So, me foot to the floor,
has and we're at 65
me hammering on it it really engages first gear very slowly
gets the truck rolling.
So you're not busting new joints and whatever
else so
I'll try this exhaust brake as we're going down the hill.
We also have trailering going down the hill
Just coming on, but that will keep
you in a certain gear
and the exhaust brake is a nice touch, I really want to hear it though..
Are we right?
Are we going the right way?
We are 100% not sure
and you've done a lot more of these reviews than I have, I think, right?
Uh yeah they do put me in a lot of
trucks that's true
you know and sometimes I'm impressed and
sometimes I'm not very impressed.
Okay.
Which makes some people very unhappy.
You gotta be honest.
I do have to be honest
and why wouldn't I be right?
Exactly.
So far I'm impressed
you know this truck drives nice.
It drives nice
I was very happy that the transmission doesn't seem to be hunting.
My biggest fear with that many speeds is that the transmission is constantly trying to find
the best gear to go with
and you don't really notice it unless you're on long drives and we're in mountains and
changing speed and that. But there were a lot of flat roads.
I didn't notice it constantly like it's like..
Yeah.
So that's a real plus.
Not crazy about these seats.
They're a little hard for me I don't know if
that's the new thing.
Or maybe it's just because I've been in my truck so much.
I love my truck and it's like, these seats aren't my truck seats.
From the number of different trucks I've driven
these do seem hard and I sat in
the LT edition of this truck yesterday
and yeah it feels like they should put a
little bit more cloth over that plywood I was sitting on
because it's hard.
Now the High Country is a little bit nicer
obviously the leathers nice.
Yeah.
Yeah, I don't know if I could be in these seats for like an 8 hour drive hauling my RV.
Yeah.
Alright so I'll drive for a little bit now
Rich, how long your legs?
Like.. I'm in the big chair.
You can almost reach the pedals!
Hang on! I'm going.
Ah made it!
Yeah lots of room in the
back though.
Especially now.
So I tow trailers all
the time, all my life.
Yeah.
I've been backing up wagons since I
was 13.
Dad's tractors I am like..
If it had an engine I've driven it.
Sprayers, combines, excavators, transport trucks.
You don't pull trailers that often?
You know my business is always, my business, my business is recreation
and it is recreational pulling you know so it's the
boat down to the boat ramp, boat
launch on the weekends. It's
towing the RV around again more weekends sort of
trip but you know in that respect
you know while I have done quite a bit of
trailer towing
I'm not that guy that does it every week
or every day
and that's why I really appreciate the way this truck drives.
You know
for most of us our truck is our daily commuter right.
So I got to drive this every day
and the fact that I can tow 15,000 pounds
and it feels like when I'm not towing
you know it just makes it such a smooth thing.
Makes it comfortable.
Yeah and I think like a lot of people
you know I usually end up maybe because
it's my daily driver a lot of half-ton towing
and a half-ton truck
and so when I start towing stuff I really feel it in the back.
You know the suspension
probably isn't beefy enough.
You know it really it should have had sway bars on
the back end to keep that
but this truck is
solid with that trailer back there.
I'm not getting yank around,
Not finding it bounce up and down over the rough roads.
I'm not finding it's there at all.
That's confidence-inspiring it really makes it
quite a bit more relaxing.
Taking the drive.
I find it nice that on a
long drive I'd feel comfortable letting
somebody less experienced drive it.
People like couples,
where maybe
one partner really is not comfortable
towing the trailer
because of all the things that are happening out in the back end
Now you know behind the wheel here they're gonna be feel very comfortable right
and you've got a backup driver now.
Cabin is quiet.
There's no buzzing from the dash,
the construction seems pretty solid.
Yeap.
Pretty cool that you can see the bikers. You just pick your signal on
and you can
see the the camera automatically switches.
One things they did do well
in the truck is for people that do have to tow
the 15 camera system and the
different views you get in there
and you should play with all of that in a
parking lot
before you get on the road
because it's too entertaining.
If you hit something, or you scrape the side of your truck,
or you back into something it is
100% your fault.
But I believe once these cameras are optional right,
they give you the system in the truck but you do have to purchase them separately.
Okay now go back to this one.
There you go.
Which shows us left and right sides of
the trailer
and that is actually a slick view where it makes your trailer invisible.
Using that camera mounted on the back of the trailer so
it's actually
a split screen or a dual screen.
We've got one camera
on the back of the
tailgate that gives us
this part of the view
and then the camera on
the back of the trailer gives us this.
Stitch them together and yeah it's an
invisible trailer.
Yeah super cool.
This is the same interior more or less than
the predecessors.
Most of the layouts are fairly similar
I think
Well sometimes it's like it's chintzy because yeah you grab it and that's yeah
So when it's right out of the lot you don't care but
a hundred thousand miles
later everything squeaking and rattling.
They've done a couple things in the last
couple years
one is that trailer brake controls are
down on your right hand side
they used to bury that over on the left underneath.
Okay.
So that's good
and I think the exhaust brake position is new
they used to have it on the right hand side now they've moved it to the left
Those are kind of panicky things like
right away you're like it's got to be right there.
Yeah.
What I was disappointed about
was that you don't get the fancy tailgate.
I know and that's what makes GMC special
you're gonna have to go to the Sierra to get
that fancy tailgate.
Yeah, I don't understand
it's the same truck because like you're
bragging about this tailgate put it on all your trucks.
I was disappointed about that, not gunna lie.
Well talk counterpoint here
GMC is not the same truck
Okay.
That's why
So the box is not exactly the same you
can't take like if
you get t-boned and it wrecks your box
you can't find a GMC that was mucked up in the front
in the scrapyard pull the box off
and put it on your Silverado?
It's completely different?
Well you wouldn't
walk into a mosque and start praying to Jesus..
What kind of talk are you making
here?
That sounds like blasphemy!
The tailgates should be interchangeable because
it's a really nice tailgate.
If you're spending
$90,000 on the truck
I want the freakin tailgate with the
step in it.
But we did
notice something with the tailgate
this does have a power tailgate
and you noticed
a little mess up
So these tailgates aren't cheap
they're not
interchangeable like you said
and they're not cheap.
But we've got this button here
that automatically drops your tailgate
and if you have a trailer
behind you
you can drop the tailgate right on top of your heads
and that was all you. You found that.
We've got our first Silverado upgrade or
recall
where they have to reflash the computer that if
it knows that the
trailer is plugged in
you shouldn't be allowed to power drop your tailgate.
Why would you want a 2020?
Allison Transmission
I was gonna agree 100%
Yeah
This transmission is the best thing about this truck.
I do not know that it's
shifting
I don't know what it's doing
it's just doing what it's supposed to do
and to me it's doing it right.
Yeah like 60 mile an hour, I keep
forgetting
what is 60 mile an hour?
I did the same thing. I looked
down at the dash I'm thinking km/h, 80s fine.
Oops

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado the Best Silverado Ever? | First Drive | Edmunds

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado the Best Silverado Ever? | First Drive | Edmunds

Edmunds:

TRAVIS LANGNESS:
Welcome to Wyoming.
I'm Travis Langness
for Edmunds.com,
and this is the all-new
2019 Chevrolet Silverado.
Basically, it's redesigned from
the ground up, from the frame,
to the body, to the powertrains.
It's bigger.
It's longer.
It's wider.
But we want to know if it's
the best Silverado Chevy's ever
made, so we're going to
take it out for a drive.

So we're in the
mountains in Wyoming
and we're driving around
in the new Silverado 1500.
And really, this feels
like an updated Silverado.
It doesn't feel
completely redesigned.
It feels really familiar.
So what's changed
about the Silverado?
The frame is built using
different materials.
It's a longer wheelbase.
It's longer from nose to
tail by almost two inches.
Pretty much all of the towing
improvements across the board
for the Silverado
come from the fact
that the truck is
450 pounds lighter
than the previous generation.
Now, that's coming
from differences
in steel, the aluminum hood,
aluminum tailgate, aluminum
doors, differences in
the strength of steel
in the chassis.
They took 80 pounds out
of the frame, another
80 pounds out of the
bed of the truck,
so instead of one
stamping, they've
used three different
pieces, which
also makes the bed of the truck
as much as seven inches wider
in the bed.
And also, you're looking
at the first up and down
power tailgate in
any full-size truck.
Kind of a no-brainer
on trucks these days.
Everybody's using a
power lift gate in SUVs.
Why haven't we
done it on a truck?
Under the hood is
the 5.3 liter V8.
Now, people from the last
generation Silverado,
if you own one of those, you'll
think, oh, so same engine.
Well, yes and no.
There is a 5.3 available with
the old six-speed automatic
transmission, but
the one we're driving
has the new
eight-speed automatic.
And it's the updated version
of that 5.3 liter V8.
So basically, what you get is
a different fuel management
system that Chevy says
will increase fuel economy.
And it-- for my
butt [? dyno-- ?]
hasn't changed the way the truck
drives much, which is good.
Gives you good power uphill,
gives you a good burst
as you're going
to pass somebody.
But what has changed
with the eight-speed
is it's quiet in here.
There's several
other power trains.
So you can get a diesel.
You can get the base V6.
You can get this V8 or
the six-speed transmission
with the older version of the
V8, different fuel management.
And you can get the 6.2 liter,
as well as that turbo four
cylinder.
If you don't need as much
towing or hauling capability,
that turbo four cylinder,
that may be the motor for you.
For me, I'd probably go
with the 5.3 or the 6.2.
They feel a little bit better,
have a little bit more thrust.
We don't have the
optional 22-inch wheels
on this truck, which
is absolutely something
I would avoid, because with
the standard wheel and tire
package, ride comfort's
great in this.
These seats are not the
high-end leather seats.
They're cloth, and
they feel great.
Going up a mountain road,
they feel just fine.
The split heating
function works great.
And really, if you're going to
go on a 1600 mile road trip,
tow a trailer, and take
your family on vacation,
this is an easy place to do it.
Also, this center
console comes up.
Take it up real quick, so
you can have a third person
up front sitting here.
Chevy did say that
the drag has changed.
As their dynamics
have gotten better,
drag has decreased with
the front end redesign.
And that's a small marginal
increase in fuel economy,
along with what will probably
be marginal increases
from the eight-speed automatic.
This one is, I believe,
19 MPG combined
with the 5.3 and
the eight-speed.
Along these roads-- they're
not perfect, obviously,
these aren't highly maintained
city roads-- the Silverado
feels really good.
It's not a bouncy ride quality.
Big sharp impacts aren't
really making their way
into the cabin.
Everything feels pretty
well-insulated from underneath,
especially when you've
got a good amount of tire
sidewall, which this truck has.
There's not a lot of body roll.
If you're worried about ride
quality on a pickup truck,
this one is doing just fine.

So this is the interior
of the new Silverado.
It's not so much a redesign
as much as it is an evolution.
For starters, we'll go with
this big monolith of a center
console.
This is just one giant piece.
It's not as high-content
as it could be.
We're in kind of a mid
trim level, something
that's a little bit
more typical for buyers.
And basically, you've got
auto stop start function.
You can put the
tailgate down here.
Traction control.
A nice little button that
puts all four windows down
at the same time.
There's a couple
of buttons missing.
There are some things that we
could have on this interior.
There's no plug here, but
on the higher trim levels
you do get that full
three-prong plug.
We've got one
USBC, one USB port.
It's got Apple
CarPlay, Android Auto.
And it's got a really
crisp look to it.
This one is the same size
as the previous generation,
but it's a little
bit nicer looking.
It's a little bit crisper.
Graphics, it's
really easy to read.
You've got the swipe from
one side, swipe to the other.
You can control most of
the stuff happening here.
The steering wheel
is much the same.
The TFT, the center
driver display here,
is a little bit better,
and everything is easier
to see at a moment's
glance when you're
looking down from the road.
Super helpful when
you're towing or hauling
and you just want to
spot your temperature
or spot your oil pressure.
It's definitely a good display.
And then Chevy has moved
over here some of the stuff
that you use for towing,
to the left of the driver.
There's a little
toggle here that you
can change between
sport mode or they've
got a little dynamic
racecar flag, and tow mode--
changes the shift
schedules, things like that.
Then you've got the
selector between
two-wheel and four-wheel drive.
You've got the terrain
selector to tell the truck
if you want hill descent control
if you're on rock or sand.
Then you've got the
controls for the lights,
and most of the
stuff over there.
And pretty much,
this is what you
get inside the interior
of all the Silverados,
and it's a really
intuitive layout.
It's not fancy.
It's a lot of new stuff, but not
a completely different design
that you have to get
used to something new.
Now, with that said,
this mid-level content
does have some plastic
materials that aren't awesome,
but really the touch points,
those things are good.
They feel sturdy.
One of the nice things
that GM has, Chevy as well,
is these split
level seat heating.
So you can heat just your back,
or your back and your butt.
Heating just your back is
perfect for long road trips.
Anybody with back pain
should demand this feature
be put in every car.
It makes the seating so
much more comfortable.
It's fantastic.
Overall, this interior
is a likeable place,
and definitely somewhere
I can see myself sitting
for a long time on a road trip.
So now we're in the
backseat of the Silverado
and it's huge back here.
There is an additional three
inches of rear leg room.
The truck itself is only 1.7
inches longer, nose to tail,
but they put a lot of that,
and then some, into the rear.
So four adults can sit totally
comfortably, probably a fifth,
maybe even a sixth when
you get that third seat up
in the front.
But if you've got
four six-footers,
there's tons of space
back here for everybody.
And it's pretty simple,
pretty standard back here.
A couple of USB ports, couple
of vents, which is nice.
Keeps the air flowing back here.
These seats are similarly firm
to the center seat up front.
But it's a 60/40
split back here.
And it's really easy
to fold these up.
So this one just
quick up, quick down.
There's no straps to pull on.
No handles.
And then also, there's some
pretty cool features back here.
This is typical, the center
console with the cup holders,
not new in any way.
But then this side seat
opens up and you have access
to behind the seat.
And the seat materials are
similarly nice to the front,
that same checkerboard pattern.
Pretty flat across the
bottom and the back.
There's not a lot of
bolstering back here,
but the cushioning is good.
This angle's not too bad.
It'd be nice if it were a
little bit further slanted back,
but it's decent for a road trip.

So we've spent all day driving
the new 2019 Silverado.
And basically, what
we've discovered
is that Chevy has taken a good
product and made it better.
This new truck is more capable.
It's more quiet on the inside.
There's more space
in the back seat.
You can tow more.
And there's that
wide array of engines
that we talked about,
which will make
it more economical and better
towing in the long run.
It generally feels
like a good refresh,
but they've added some
good updates to it.
But if you're
asking the question
is it the best Silverado that
Chevy has ever made, well sure,
but only by a small margin.

How to Use Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ | Ford How-To | Ford

Ford Motor Company:

[MUSIC]
Did you know your vehicle may be equipped
with a convenient feature that helps make
maneuvering a trailer in reverse easy?
It's called Pro Trailer Backup Assist.
Let me tell you about it.
Whether you're backing
a trailer into a job site or
launching a boat, if you can turn a knob,
you can now back up your trailer with ease.
Which means, whichever direction
you want your trailer to go,
just turn the knob in that direction and
the system will take over the steering,
instead of having to turn the wheel
in the opposite direction.
To use it, press the center button on
the Pro Trailer Backup Assist knob.
A list of available trailers will appear.
Choose the one you want and
the Pro Trailer Backup Assist
will attempt to locate it.
Once the targeting sticker is
located by the rearview camera,
the screen will prompt you to
shift into reverse to activate it.
Then follow the prompts displayed
on the information screen.
With your hands off the steering wheel,
use the Pro Trailer Backup Assist
knob to steer the trailer.
Turn the knob left, or counter-clockwise,
when you want the rear of the trailer to
go to the left, and right,
clockwise, to go right.
You should also make it a habit
to use your side view mirrors
as your primary visual aid
while maneuvering the trailer.
Once the trailer is moving in
the direction you want, release the knob.
Keep in mind, you may need to make
small adjustments with the knob to
keep the trailer moving
along the desired path.
As soon as the knob is either released or
turned back to the center position,
the vehicle will follow
the trailer's path.
You'll need to control the accelerator and
brakes.

don't already subscribe to this channel
and you hit that subscribe button and
this channel gets to 300,000 subscribers
before I get my c8 I will put lambo
doors on my car day one tell a friend
hit that subscribe button let's have a
little fun hey everyone welcome back to
the channel I hope you're having a
fantastic day I'm really excited because
if you look over here I know it's tough
to see in there but inside that third
garage door right there is that 2019 zr1
with 200 miles on it that car has been
on this channel for about 90 days and
they kind of give you an idea of 90 days
my wife and I went on our 20th wedding
anniversary we were gone for 15 days on
that vacation and it didn't sell it was
here before we went on a vacation it's
now here and here we are on August 12th
September 12th September 12th here we
are and that car's still here well I'm
proud to say that it is leaving is found
a new home and there's a story behind
this car I've actually sold this car
five times since May five times we're
going to talk about it in this video but
before we start talking about that I get
this thing cleaned up finished up ready
to go because it's going on a transport
to Louisiana can you believe this is
actually going south of New Orleans
which I've been to New Orleans a couple
of times love New Orleans and I didn't
realize that when you go to New Orleans
there's you know there's part of
Louisiana to the west right so there's
you actually go south there so that's
where this is
going and the gentleman who bought it
it's not a youtube subscriber didn't
know who I was before he about this he
does now
and this car is replacing his wrecked
zo6 alright there it is the shipper is
here I'm excited to get this thing gone
because it's kind of been a nightmare
I'm gonna tell you the story here five
car sales I remembered a sixth and then
I just did something totally stupid
with this car but we gotta get a cold
start on this vehicle and let it go off
the showroom floor and I'm gonna tell
you that story
nice home in Louisiana that car may be
back here though one day customers
probably gonna trade that in because he
wants a/c 8:06 will stay tuned to see if
that car comes back to this dealership
from Louisiana so we sold this car six
separate times one of the times one of
my colleagues here sold it and it was
somebody really who we feel just was
pretending to want to buy a car they
kept saying hey we will buy it we'll buy
a considered sold they worked the deal
and they had no money they said they
start they were getting cash out of the
bank gonna give a certified check and
just never showed back up the second
time that we sold it was actually to a
gentleman who contacted the dealership
while was on vacation wasn't followed up
with correctly contacted me again while
I was back from vacation Sonny was gonna
buy it was gonna come in from Virginia I
think he's a subscriber to the channel
or at least knows who I am follows me
and I'm driving home on a three-way call
with his banker and simply tell him I
need a partial payment a deposit on the
vehicle so that way none of my other 70
sales guys here can sell the car and it
was simply put that exact way nothing
pressure nothing crazy and he says
excuse me I said yeah I just need to
deposit you know so that way you know I
can market sold and yada yada yada
and he flips out on me absolutely goes
nuts on the phone on the phone with this
banker says ham will be pressured blah
blah blah blah blah and told his banker
hey don't don't worry about not buying
this car any morning this hangs up the
phone never to contact me again text him
a couple of times call him a couple
times I don't know that was all about
another time that this car was sold was
so somebody I had some conversation with
a few years ago disrespected one of my
sales guys here disrespected me and I
put him in his place I will not be
disrespected especially on the showroom
floor and I put this guy in his place
and this guy was driving a Tesla Model X
wrapped in his company's
and this guy's a multi-millionaire but
he just disrespected us and I don't care
who you are I don't care your net worth
your value you get treated accordingly
how you treat me and others here so I
kind of put him in his place and you
know and I think we got kind of going
fine after the after the fact and egos
kind of slowed down and you know what
not never talk to this guy again comes
up in this McLaren 720's and everybody's
talking about it
school is a seven 20s and he's talking
about trucks and Camaros and blah blah
blah and he walks in and this is after
we powder coat the wheels black on this
car and he looks at this zr1 he says wow
I've got to have this car so I'm like
hey we can make it happen
I told him about the powder coating of
the wheels he said yeah I would have
never bought this car if it had chrome
wheels so I said okay sweet we did the
right decision there got everything done
he's gonna title it in his LLC in
Montana so he doesn't have to pay sales
tax and sweet another problem he says
let me think about it just real quick
to make sure I do one another black car
and he's on his private plane and he
literally picture males me text messages
me his American Express black card put
five grand on it and hold it he jacks me
around for two weeks and just never
comes through I just kind of got pissed
off with him and refunded his money and
told him innit you know don't want to do
business with him anymore
and I really think that was kind of
maybe retaliation from a couple years
prior that he was just kind of like you
know what I got I got you know fu money
and I'm just gonna screw with this sales
got for two weeks and that's what he did
that's fine you know I should have kept
his money but it wasn't worth even
messing with it and then the last time
that you saw that earlier in the video
that the car was actually leaving the
dealership getting on the transport and
headed to the South was for Trent new
customer mine doesn't follow me on
YouTube didn't know who I was introduced
myself told him that I'd hook him up on
this car and everything went really
really smooth
and so we got transport going all that
good stuff it's here I showed you begin
to the video that is right here in the
third garage door right there and
getting ready to go and didn't have to
do anything and it was all good to go I
think I think the night before I set
there and filled it up with gas for him
parked it right there and was ready to
go for transport right at 9:00 a.m. the
next morning so I get here a little bit
early make sure it's wiped down make
sure it's clean everything is good to go
and what I did not do was you remember
this Lexus you didn't see this Lexus in
yesterday's or last week's video
check this out I'll put a little little
icon in the top right-hand corner so we
have this sticker here and this sticker
here on the vehicle the red sticker
comes usually on the outside of the
vehicle and this area the white sticker
is placed on the inside of the vehicle
in this area so it's kind of like the
window stickers right so the white
sticker is in a same spot as that window
sticker affixed all the way on like that
so that was the only thing I really had
to do to the car is get those two
stickers off the orange one comes off
really easy it's not that big of a deal
the white one just like that window
sticker I was showing you a fixes to the
whole window and you have to clean it
off well you can see the result and
which is the thumbnail of this video we
are not putting it on this hundred
thousand dollar car in a nutshell on
this window we just placed it in the
dash so a very common practice for
dealership is we use razor blade there
have a couple different razor blades you
can see that one there that one there
this is the one that I got I don't know
why I got this one I usually don't use
it much but actually I tell you I know
exactly why you got this one because
this has got this long handle and with
the Corvette window sloping down so low
that I can sit here like this and scoop
down on that residue that's left over
it's a very common practice to do that
and you know never had an issue never
done anything stupid almost 20 years in
sellin cars I've never done anything
stupid with a razor blade so we got to
go off of my
reputation of handling razor blades okay
so I'm done doing that and I'm standing
kind of like this or something's not
effect obviously my hand down a little
bit lower but I have it up high to kind
of show you and somebody said something
to me and I do this and I turn and this
goes rip right into the - it didn't hit
me right away that it went into the - it
was a second later I sit there and think
where did I just do what did I just feel
through my left hand and I look and I
see this and I'm like you've got to be
kidding me
you've got to be kidding me I probably
said some explicit language in my head
because there was customers around and
this transport driver was here and I'm
like what do i do what do i do what do I
do and so I called my buddy Sean
he owns auto fixation here in Louisville
who just dropped that razor blade yeah
let's go back let's go back to my
history and I'm Himmel one razor blades
so I call him he comes over looks at it
he can fix it with no problem he does
this stuff every day that's his
profession and he does it awesome but
I've got to tell the customer I can't
sit here and fix this - and not tell a
customer so I text the customer show him
all the pictures after it's all done and
fixed and he's like hey as long as you
can't see it I'm happy with as long as
it stays fixed I'm happy with it I don't
care and I would be the same way I'm
very very picky on things but luckily
I'm inside the business and I know
what's going on once it got done my wife
happened to come into the dealership and
I said hey will you look at this - and
do you see any repairs and she couldn't
see us so she didn't know where it was
that she couldn't find it nothing and so
here's the picture of it fixed now
you're gonna say well hey I can see that
because you know where the cuts at and
it happened to cut just in a little itty
bitty dimple and if you look around the
- there's actually dimples like
pressures like maybe where somebody's
put their thumb or or anything like that
hands of wipe the window down or
whatever the case may be so having some
imperfections waves and that - is very
common so customer gets the
car the next day and he has five
separate people look at it he's
reporting back to me I asked him right
away
hey any problems with the dash where you
think about he says yeah I can't tell
where it was that he has five separate
people look at it and nobody can pick it
out
so thank goodness for Shawn at Auto
fixation here in Louisville he just
saved my butt on a hundred and forty
thousand dollar car and just as I showed
you earlier with this lexus RC 500 we
are not putting that sticker on the
window because we do not want to have
that issue again so there's the story of
my time with that 2019 zr1 now this car
was replacing a wrecked zo6 you see that
here on the screen as well for the
customer so I'm excited that we were
able to replace this car for him and
he's happy I've talked to him since and
he'll buy from us again so we're good to
go on that and I just thought that it
would be cool to tell you the story
about the zr1 and the time that we had
it here and the interactions we had with
people on this and and the unfortunate
side of me putting a razor blade through
$140,000 car tell you my gut just sunk
when that happened so hope you enjoyed
the story as always thank you again so
much for watching we need to get to
300,000 subscribers if we can do that
before my CA comes when my see it gets
here I will put a lambo doors on my CA
and maybe be the first person in the
world to put lambo doors on his c8 yes I
will do that because my friend Carlos
and M are our wheels said he was gonna
beat up anybody who said that and are
who did that so I love Carlos I love him
are our wheels so we'll have a little
fun with them make sure he that
subscribe button thanks again for
watching have a great day and drive
safely

Front and Rear Wiper Stalk Control | Ford How-To | Ford

Front and Rear Wiper Stalk Control | Ford How-To | Ford

Ford Motor Company:

[MUSIC]
Your vehicle is equipped with an available
wiper stalk that controls the front and
rear window wipers.
Your front wipers are controlled
by moving the stalk up or down.
And the rear wiper controls
are at the tip of the stalk.
Let me show you how they work.
If you have rain-sensing front wipers,
move the stalk up to the first position.
You can change their speed or sensitivity
by turning the inner-ring up or down.
If you don't have
the rain-sensing feature,
the ring controls the delay between wipes.
And if you just don't
want to use the feature,
you can always choose between normal and
fast wipes.
Just push up on the stalk to the single
triangle for a normal, continuous wipe, or
to the double triangle for faster wiping.
To wash the windshield,
just pull the stock towards you.
So far, so good, right?
Okay, now let's take
a look at the rear wipers.
The switch at the end of the stock allows
you to turn them on and select your speed.
The first position is for
intermittent wiping.
The second is for a continuous wipe.
And O is off for the wiper.
Here's one more thing you should know.
To wash the rear windows push
the stalk away from you.
The washer will spray for
as long as you push it.
