192512 New 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe LS 4WD Gray SUV Test Drive, Review, For Sale -

McCluskey Chevrolet:
If you’re looking for reliability, safety,
and great fuel economy and range, then the
2019 Chevrolet Tahoe is the right SUV for
you.
Especially when compared to the Acura MDX.
For enhanced safety, it has a rear seat reminder
to make sure you don’t leave a child in
the back seat.
The Chevrolet Tahoe weighs about 869 to 1570
pounds more than the Acura MDX.
The National highway traffic safety administration
advices that heavier vehicles are much safer
in the event of a collision.
The camshaft in the Chevrolet Tahoe engine
is driven by a hardened steel chain, with
no maintenance needed.
The Chevrolet Tahoe also has a limp home system
to help keep drivers from being stranded if
all or most of the engine’s coolant is lost.
The engine will only run on half of it cylinders
at a time, reducing its power and light a
warning lamp on the dashboard so the driver
can get to a service station for repairs.
To lower the fuel costs and make buying fuel
easier, the Chevrolet Tahoe uses regular unleaded
gasoline, where as the Acura MDX requires
premium.
The front grille of the Chevrolet Tahoe uses
electronically controlled shutters to close
off airflow and reduce drag when less engine
cooling is needed.
This can help improve highway fuel economy.
There are also rain-sensitive wipers that
adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically
based on how much rain is falling.
This can help the driver concentrate on driving
without having to constantly adjust the wipers.
Come on down and see why the 2019 Chevrolet
Tahoe is the perfect vehicle for you with
our free 48 hour test drive.
If you like it, then we will cover it with
our free lifetime mechanical warranty for
as many years and as many miles as you own
it.
5 Used SUVs You Should Never Buy

Scotty Kilmer:
Rev up your engines,
today I'm going to talk about 5 suvs that
you should never buy used, because many of
them were bad enough when they were brand
new, now suvs are getting more and more popular
because you can hold stuff in them and their
very handy and they ride pretty good these
days, the early ones were kind of bumpy but
they make them a lot better now,
well some of them are made a lot better, here
are 5 suvs that you should never buy used,
now the first suv never to buy used is the
bmw x5, you mind as well say bmw money pit,
that's all those things turn into, they've
have problems with engine oil leaks, water
leaking into the vehicle, big transmission
problems, and problems with their stability
control system that keep them from flipping
over because their so boxy, yeah their high
tech there's no arguing that, but I've had
customers with them that they got this gyro
sensor that goes bad and it's a small thing
but it costs like $1,500-1,800 for the thing,
their just high priced and it's not like their
high quality, there's so much plastic used
in those things their always getting leaks,
I had one customer with an x5, I told her,
you shouldn't have bought this thing used
their money pits, well after a year of driving
the thing and finally I put on my bmw computer
for her latest problem at it was the transmission
was going out, I did a little research and
found out that it was going to cost her 4-5
thousand to fix it so she finally got rid
of the thing, she traded it in on a used lexus
suv and boy she is happy with that lexus,
that was years ago and she's still driving
the lexus and I hardly ever she her because
the things don't break, just normal oil changes
and brake job stuff on those,
and of course bmw is so snobby they didn't
even call the x5 a suv they called it a sports
activity vehicle, well yeah because your going
to spend a lot of activity going to the bmw
dealer getting the thing fixed,
now the next suv not to buy is the cadillac
escalade, now if you want to impress your
friends and neighbors that your driving a
cadillac suv and you don't care that you get
11 mpg in actual driving, the cadillac escalade
might be for you, it's a show boat and a lot
of that show boating stuff is made out of
plastic, and guess what it cracks early and
breaks down, their known for heating and ac
problems, you might think oh that's not that
big of a deal, it's all computerized and believe
me I've seen people spend $1,500-2,500 taking
the dashs apart fixing those plastic things,
they have problems with the dash and display
system on them, just cheaply made and they'll
just come on and off at will, their poorly
made theirs no doubting that, the have early
transmission failures and awd versions they
have differential problems that cost a fortune
to fix, it's a big heavy vehicle but the internals
are not heavy duty enough, they just break
down too much from carrying all that weight
around, cadillac has been using that cadillac
top of the line image for decades, well it's
been a long time since that was even close
to the truth,
now the next suv not to buy the jeep renegade,
the renegade was created after chrysler and
fiat merged, fiat bought chrysler, the renegade
is small, it's under powered and if you tried
to take that jeep renegade off road like one
of those big jeeps good luck,
these jeep renegade, their made in Italy,
their made is Brasil, and their made in China,
they have nothing to do with the legendary
jeep, especially stay away from the 2015 renegade
that was the worst one they ever built, they
have engine failures, they have transmission
failures, they have electronic failures, the
list goes on and on and on, it's like the
combination of Italian manufacturing problems,
not surprisingly the renegades have a lot
of electronic problems, many Italian cars
have electronic weak systems that's just the
way they go, it also has a problem with blowing
head gaskets in the engine, a typical problem
that Italian cars have, you know if you want
to get a jeep I'm not that big of a fan of
the newer ones, the old ones were great, but
if you are get a regular one, don't get this
small one,
now the fourth suv not to buy used is the
Chevy traverse, I've seen engines stop on
ones that had 40,000 miles on them, the awd
system has problems and costs thousands of
dollars to fix, I mean if a vehicle has engine
and transmission problems, that says stay
away, stay far away from this vehicle, I mean
I had a customer with a traverse, it kept
flashing up service awd, then it said super
cruise system, well this car didn't have a
super cruise system yet is was saying there
was a problem in a system that it didn't even
have on the vehicle, and the gm dealer couldn't
figure out what was wrong he just lived with
that until he got rid of it, he said it was
the biggest pile of junk he ever had and he's
never going to buy another one, the last suv
never to buy used is the pontiac aztek, it
was made famous in Breaking Bad where Brian
drove one around and eventually he took it
to a garage, they fixed it all up he came
to pick it up and he looked at it and took
his hat out of the back seat, put it on his
head and walked away and gave the car to the
mechanic, I had a customer that did a similar
thing with an aztek, the thing had like 55,000
miles on it and the head gasket blew and the
engine stopped, so he had to put another engine
in, so he said to heck with that, he had a
used engine put in and then he just sold the
thing and got rid of it and said, that's it
for gm I'm never buying another one of their
products, basically the azteks were gm's version
of trying to copy a toyota matrix and man
did they fail big, the azteks actually had
a lot of different problems, but the biggest
ones were, the head gaskets of the engines
going, the transmission going out, and having
intake manifolds that would go bad and leak
oil and water into the engine, and if you
didn't watch that closely that would lead
to a blown engine too, and even if you caught
it right in the beginning you had to take
the whole engine apart and spend like $1,500
to fix something that should have never happened
in the first place, cuz I'm not talking about
cars that are 20 or 30 years old, some of
these cars were less than a year old and some
of them were 3,4,5 years old, but regardless,
they were poorly made vehicles, they don't
make them anymore obviously, now if you want
to get a pontiac suv, get a pontiac vibe,
it's the same thing as this matrix, the were
made in the same plant, the have the same
engine, transmission, wheels and everything,
the only thing different is this sheet metal
on the vehicles, so that one you can get because
it's actually a toyota product really,
showing that the expression, what's in a name
can mean a lot you want to research what's
behind that name, now sure there's plenty
of good used suvs out there but stay away
from these 5 suvs if you don't want to catch
a sports utility virus, so if you never want
to miss another one of my new car repair videos,
remember to ring that bell!
Why You Should Buy a High Mileage Vehicle!

Ideal Media:
but before you say what if anything
catastrophic happens yeah an engine or
transmission failing on a newer car with
a hundred thousand miles is relatively
rare I'm gonna look at a car but I think
it kind of has high miles whoa whoa what
do you mean high miles
oh you know like a hundred thousand
miles bro that thing isn't even broken
in yet wait so you think I should
actually consider buying it yeah I think
you should consider buying it and here's
why yo today we're gonna be talking
about buying and enjoying cars that have
more miles because well they can save
you money and be more fun to drive in
this video I'm gonna show you how and
then at the end of this video I'm gonna
give you what I found to be the perfect
sweet spot for mileage which will give
you the best opportunity to drive the
car for free and if you are new here my
name is Brad danger and this is the I do
cars youtube channel which is for next
generation car enthusiasts interested in
ideal cars believe it or not and if it
sounds like you well hit that subscribe
button so that we can get this channel 1
subscriber closer to buying the highest
mileages McLaren 650s I really want to
buy that car so that all of us can enjoy
it on this channel okay so why do people
tend to shy away from high mileage
diamonds in the rough because they seem
to be riskier and more things tend to go
wrong with higher mileage cars in theory
and I know I know I know that there is a
slightly higher chance that something
might fail but cars are built to go
200,000 plus miles and personally I've
had multiple great experiences with
higher mileage cars that I've either
driven for free or made money by 1990 a
m3 with a hundred and nine thousand
miles on it
I made $2,000 my 1968 Mustang with a
hundred and thirteen thousand miles on
it I made six grand in my 2008 m3 with
ninety thousand miles on it
I made five thousand bucks and the best
thing is that with all these cars I got
to buy them and drive them and enjoy
them and making money was just a bonus
and that's exactly why I built the ideal
car strategies where I teach next
generation car enthusiasts the art of
properly buying and enjoying both low
and high mileage ideal cars with the
goal of either breaking even or making
money and the main reason that high
mileage examples are really enticing is
because the depreciation curve tends to
flatten out with higher mileage cars and
as you continue to put more miles on
them and enjoy them they don't
is nearly the same amount of value as
lower mileage examples and I'll dig into
that more in just a minute but before I
do
buying a newer high mileage car is
usually better than buying an older car
with less miles I mean cars are meant to
be driven and cars with more miles tend
to last longer because they can
lubricate themselves regularly and burn
those carbons that are bad for the
engine plus what I found is that more
often than not higher mileage cars are
better taken care of since the previous
owner has actively been driving it they
usually stay on top of the oil service
intervals and overall upkeep of the
vehicle and what do they say out of
sight out of mind
fluids and rubber components deteriorate
over time what I've seen is that
especially for low mileage fun cars the
chance that all service intervals and
oil changes are done on time is way less
likely and it's not a deal breaker but
when they're charging a premium for it
being low mileage it's a tough pill to
swallow and when we talk about resale
value once a car falls into that high
mileage category which definitely
differs from every make and model the
depreciation curve really flattens out
so a car that has 90,000 miles in the
same make and model has 115k will be
worth about the same on the used market
and when you're able to identify what
our high miles on a car this is exactly
how you can drive a car for free
relatively easily because you could buy
the car at ninety K drive it to 115 K
and sell it for about the same dollar
amount but before you say what if
anything catastrophic happens yeah an
engine or transmission failing on a
newer car with a hundred thousand miles
is relatively rare and if you do your
due diligence and get a pre-purchase
inspection which I teach how to properly
do in the ideal car strategies you'll be
setting yourself up for the best
ownership experience possible dare I say
ideal ownership experience yeah and
here's the biggest risk of buying a high
mileage car it's really easy to buy high
mileage cars but on the flip side
there's sometimes harder to sell and
that's exactly why I teach you how to
properly fill out the proprietary ideal
cars desirability guide to understand
what color and factory options will help
the car stick out from the rest and
bring a premium remember mileage is just
one of the factors that a potential
buyer considers when buying a car other
things like condition exterior and
interior color and factory options all
play a role in how much someone is
actually willing to pay and this is
especially true with higher per floor
it's cars which is my bread and butter
they're built with stronger components
than their lesser brethren and can last
a very long time with just normal
service so by doing your research you'll
know that an e 92 m3 with no sunroof or
with the highly sought-after competition
package can make the car substantially
more valuable even with higher miles and
a buyer will pay a premium over m3s with
less miles without those options
knowledge is king and I love being the
king baby so what I'm gonna do is I'm
gonna give you an example of the exact
same two cars with different mileages
and break down the cost per mile for you
and since we're on a BMW kick which I
usually always am let's do it with a
2013 BMW m3 now the average mileage for
this year m3 would be roughly 70 K which
if we look at KBB you can see that it's
29 960 which is what you'd get at a
private party now in 25,000 miles at 95
K it's going to be twenty five thousand
nine hundred and fifteen so if we double
the mileage which would be considered
high mileage at a hundred and forty K
you can see that it's now nineteen
thousand eight hundred and forty nine
and then if we drive that car twenty
five thousand miles to 165 K you can see
that it's seventeen thousand four
hundred and thirty five you'd get at a
private party so here's the thing if you
buy the car at 70 K drive at 25k and
sell it at ninety K it depreciates
roughly 4045 dollars and will cost you
about 16 cents per mile to drive the
beast which isn't bad but you pick up
one at double the mileage and 140k drive
it for twenty five thousand miles and
sell it with a hundred and sixty-five K
and you lose two thousand four hundred
and fourteen dollars or less than ten
cents per mile to drive that beast so
you can think of it as giving yourself a
nickel and a penny for every single mile
that you drive real quick that change
starts to add up baby
and as you can see it is clearly cheaper
to buy and drive a higher mileage car
and I can't stress this enough because I
know that people in the comments are
gonna say Oh higher mileage more issues
everything else yeah you have to get a
pre-purchase inspection from a reputable
shop otherwise it's not gonna work this
is cheap insurance to know exactly what
could go wrong that you can fix before
you buy the car the other thing which is
really important is having documented
service history of that car the higher
mileage that is especially crucial in
having an engine
ownership experience and personally I've
had multiple ideal ownership experiences
with higher mileage cars in fact I know
sometimes seek them out so I can get the
best miles out of them my McLaren will
hopefully have the highest mileage in
the USA oh and one thing I almost forgot
what is that sweet spot to ride the flat
depreciation curve for mileage well I
find that between 75 K and 100 K is that
sweet spot where you can enjoy that
ideal car for twenty to thirty thousand
miles and then have the best chance to
sell that car to the next lucky buyer
that number well first its considered
higher mileage for almost all make and
models but also most cars will already
have had their costly major service
interval at sixty to eighty K let's say
now if that major service hasn't been
done well it's a great negotiation
tactic and an ideal opportunity to buy
it enjoy it after you service it of
course at an independent shop and
possibly make money on that deal now
that's what I call an ideal car and I
want to know what's the highest mileage
car that you've owned what was your
ownership experience like did you get a
pre-purchase inspection before you
bought that car let us know down in the
comments also snag some ideal swag
guaranteed to add five horsepower or six
if your car has over 200 K okay so if
you liked this video you're gonna love

tried-and-true ideal car strategies
where I teach you how to never lose
money on a car again so check that out

2018 Ford Expedition - Review and Road Test

Kelley Blue Book:
some people need a big SUV maybe they've
got a big family maybe they've got big
toys to haul if your life is big maybe
you need a big SUV too like that Ford
Expedition right there
the Ford Expedition is a full-size SUV
that looks the part
long straight body lines and an imposing
headlight slash grille treatment give it
a strong hulking presence that belies a
substantial drop in weight versus the
previous Expedition like the f-150 the
Ford Expedition rides on a strong steel
frame it features a light aluminum body
inside that aluminum body is space for
up to eight passengers divided between
three completely un-cramped rows yes even
the third row unlike the Chevy Tahoe the
Ford Expedition uses an independent rear
suspension that allows a lower floor and
consequently more comfortable rear seat
accommodations notice my feet are
nowhere near my butt with a wide
pass-through and an integrated grab
handle reaching that spacious third row
is no problemo a task made even easier
with optional automatic side steps and
One-Touch second row seat releases
speaking of the second row these seats
slide and recline you can move them
forward for access to the third row with
the child seat installed and the center
seat slides really far forward giving
fussy children easier access to their
Guardians upfront or fussy journalists
easy access to empty seats
behind this rare but cool lift up rear
window hides nearly 21 cubic feet of
luggage space expandable from the rear
via standard powerful-fold 3rd row seats
second row seat releases are also
available making it incredibly simple to
switch from people to cargo hauling
mode all seats folded capacity
increases to one hundred and four point
six cubic feet that's good but only six
cubic feet larger than the mid-size
Chevrolet Traverse and the Traverse
actually offers more space behind the
third row if you like to avoid being
upstaged by a midsize SUV the $2,700
pricier long-wheelbase Expedition Max
boasts 36 cubic feet behind the third
row making it the superior choice for
hauling people and their stuff
aesthetically speaking the interior has
an upscale vibe especially on the
range-topping platinum trim check out
that stitching premium materials extend
to the second row but in the back seats
hard plastic dominates on the
functionality front the cabin provides a
massive lockable center console dual
glove boxes five child seat latch points
intuitive knobs and switches 15
cupholders and lots of storage bins
front and center a basic Sync
infotainment unit comes on the lowest
XLT trim but we suggest upgrading to the
latest Sync 3 system that's standard on
all other trims sporting an eight-inch
touchscreen smartphone integration by
way of apple carplay and android auto
and a straightforward layouts Sync 3 is
a joy to use and now I will use it hmm
turned up all the bass
or visceral joys can be found with the
EcoBoost 3.5 liter v6 that moves all
Expeditions before decrying the lack of
the v8 note the output figures go ahead
I'll wait
choose the Platinum trim and Ford dials
those already stout figures up a touch
I mean really that should be enough
power right to maximize that output ford
teamed the v6 with a 10 speed automatic
transmission that's controlled with this
rotary knob and these gear selection
buttons you might think the constant
gear changes of a 10 speed would be
annoying but they actually just fade
into the background
the result is smooth strong acceleration
for a large SUV the Ford Expedition is
quite efficient supplementing that
efficiency is a defeatable engine
start/stop system that saves gas when
you're stationary rear-wheel drive is
standard but as you'd expect four wheel
drive is an option and a great way to
exploit nearly ten inches of ground
clearance
though at $3,000 it is pricey thanks to
an independent rear suspension the
Ford Expedition rides with more
refinement than its truck-based chassis
would suggest at the same time if you
hit a big bump like this one you will
experience a fair bit of bounce but I
mean given its rugged capabilities the
Ford Expedition drives pretty great where
are we? based on its size you might think
tight maneuvers with the Expedition
would be tricky but that's really not
the case okay yes it would be easier
with the Mini Cooper but you have a good
sense from the driver's seat of the
vehicles dimensions and light steering
though it could benefit from a quicker
steering ratio
thanks to pretty easy to squeeze into
spots there's no need to fear the
parking lot nonetheless a full-size SUV
is a great platform for for its
excellent optional one-button automatic
parking technology nervous about
squeezing in or out of that spot let the
car do the work tack on the optional 360
degree camera system and who knows how
much parking related carnage you'll
prevent one thing people love when
driving an SUV is a commanding view of
the road that's definitely true in the
Expedition at least been looking forward
but when you look over your shoulder not
so good
what's crazy I'm talking about my left
shoulder
this super wide grab handle equipped
b-pillar is placed near the driver's
head blocking much of the view left once
more technology intervenes an optional
blind spot warning and lane keep assist
making it easier to stay in your lane or
when you want move to another For a base
price just shy of 53,000 dollars a
regular wheelbase rear-drive expedition
XLT trim includes six airbags USB ports
in the first and second rows power
adjustable pedals backup sensors a backup
camera with its own washer and
push-button start if you want passive
entry that costs extra but this little
keypad does not that's not the code other
added cost niceties include a foot
activated tailgate 22 inch wheels
deeply-adjustable heated and ventilated
front seats a panoramic roof dual
headrest rear seat entertainment 2nd row
captains chairs USB ports in the third
row wireless phone charging full-speed
adaptive cruise control pre-collision
warning with active braking and pedestrian
detection and a $1600 FX4 off-road
package with an electronic limited slip
differential underbody protection and
upgraded shocks
spend recklessly and you can spec an
Expedition Max platinum trim to the tune
of $83,000 dollars
lastly do you wanna tow good news the
expedition can tow a hefty 9,300 pounds but do so and you'll want
the heavy-duty trailer tow package
bundles a heavy duty radiator integrated
brake controller and an electronic
limited slip differential with Ford's Pro
Trailer backup assist a clever system
whose knob controlled steering makes
backing of a trailer almost foolproof
while well equipped in base form price
wise the Expedition and Expedition Max
slot an above their most direct
competitors the Chevy Tahoe and its
larger suburban sibling as well as the
Nissan Armada and Toyota Sequoia though
perhaps a bigger question than price is
whether you need a full sized SUV at all
be honest you plan to tow big loads or
venture offroad if not there are several
midsize SUVs that while smaller offer
8-passenger seating for thousands less
than an Expedition but if you really do
live big and you need a big SUV to match
the Ford Expedition is a very capable
choice

Support the companies that support Donut,
we couldn't make it without them.
Now, back to the show.
Before we start talking about vans,
we should first mention the Station Wagon.
The once upon a time stereotypical
American family vehicle.
The Station Wagon dangerously carried
Many-a-restless kid
across the American roads
seat belts optional.
But, in the late 1970s the sale of big
gas guzzling Station
Wagons was on the decline.
The do it all wagons
future was looking grim,
partly due to the gas prices,
but more partly due because
of the new category of cars.
So, in 1984 the Chrysler
van program birthed,
the Plymouth Voyager mini-van.
The first of it's kind, the Voyager was
hugely popular for it's ability
to tote all the kids around,
get better gas mileage
then a Station Wagon,
and, yes, be able to fit
in a garage safely away
from those mean suburban streets,
It was a great all around
package for the modern family,
and GM quickly realized that
hey needed their own version
of the the mini-van.
- Should we make our own miniature van?
- Uh Yeah!
We already have one in the works.
Don't you know about it?
- Uh, 'course I do.
What's it called?
- The Astro
- Astro!
Yep, I said it first.
I knew it, totally knew it.
There's a reason I'm the boss.
Keeping with the space theme that Plymouth
started with the Voyager,
in 1985 Chevy released their all new
not so mini mini-van the Chevy Astro,
A van so sick, it cam time-warp,
and drive on the rings of Saturn.
The boxy middle van and
it's twin GMC brother
the Safari were only 1.5 inches shorter,
and 2 and a half narrower than Chevy's
smallest full-size van.
And, while it was seven inches shorter,
and claimed to be able to fit in a garage,
Chevy quickly acknowledged
their bulked up box on wheels,
and used the middle van
status in their advertising.
- [Man] The new Chevy Astro.
Built to do more than a mini-van can.
- Not a mini-van, not a full-size van,
but a middle van.
The real world giant box mobile
had multiple seating configurations,
allowing you to carry you,
and seven of your so-called friends.
Let's be honest,
they just wanted to sit In those
comfy, cozy, fluffy, cloth bench seats.
Or, you could take out all the seats,
and use it as a cargo van.
Unlike it's mini-van competition,
the Astro was built on a truck chassis,
with a bolt-on sub frame.
The front suspension shared many
of the same components directly from
the Caprice Station Wagon,
while the rear had composite
leaf springs like the S-10.
Engine options on the first year Astro,
were either the 98 Mini Shetland Pony
Horsepower 2.3 liter four cylinder,
or the optional 165
midi-horsepower 4.3 liter V6.
(engine roaring)
And the placement of said engines?
How bout' right under the
front dash cup holders.
You could swap out your battery,
and check the oil in
the mini-hood up front.
But, any serious work
would have to be done
inside the van.
A big bump in between
the two front seats got
covered with a hatch,
and gave way to an access panel,
that once removed exposed
the engine on the Astro.
Mechanics loved it.
The coolest part,
is that you could get it with a manual.
That's right, the base transmission
that the Astro came with,
was a four speed manual which is sick.

Ford Crown Victoria - Everything You Need to Know | Up to Speed

Donut Media:
(sirens wailing)
- Holy crap!
Whew, whew, whew, whew.
(car screeching)
Book 'em Danno.
Americans have seen them everywhere.
And in the last 30 years or so,
the impression it leaves has shifted
from authority and the
fear of getting tickets,
to outright fun and nostalgia.
It used to patrol the streets,
but now it tears up everything
from asphalt to off-road.
This is everything you need to know
to get up to speed on the Ford Crown Vic.
(sirens wailing)
Ugh!
(computerized music)
The iconic Ford Crown Victoria
may be the most unremarkable looking car
to ever come out of Detroit,
but it wasn't always.
The first car to bear the name
was the 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria.
The design of the first Crown Vic
was an interpretation of
the Victoria Carriage.
And it looked good.
It was two colors, had a
(censor beeps) ton of chrome,
cool flares, and forward
leaning headlights.
It was everything a car
should have been in 1955.
But it wouldn't be for another 25 years
that the Crown Vic would reemerge.
Tick, tick, tick, tick,
tick, tick, tick, tick, ding.
It's 1980.
Disco's dead, baby.
An actor is in the White House,
and Ford is struggling
to distinguish themselves
from GM competitors in a sea
of domestic executive class cars.
Ford CEO Philip Caldwell
calls up then president
Donald Petersen, and he's like,
"Don, what are these GM guys doing?"
"They're naming their
cars after carriages."
"What?"
"Cadillac and Oldsmobile
are calling 'em broughams,
and they're selling
like friggin hotcakes."
"My god, man, that's it."
and so the Crown Victoria name
was brought out of retirement
to grace the reborn
Ford LTD Sedan in 1981.
First as a super long two door,
and then as the four door
we all know and love.
This Crown Victoria had a
top speed of maybe 100 miles
an hour, and could go zero
to 60 in 13.5 seconds.
Hey, it wasn't powerful.
It wasn't sleek, but it sold.
It was rear wheel drive,
and used the body design
from which the Crown Vic
would become so beloved.
The panther platform.
(drawing swords)
Ah, yes.
What is the panther platform?
Well, I'm glad you asked.
You're cute.
The panther platform used body on frame
construction with live
rear axle suspension.
It was pretty common in 1980,
but today that kind of stuff,
you'll only find on trucks.
The body on frame design
meant repairs were cheaper.
And the parts were plentiful.
That made the Ford Crown
Vic LTD ideal for fleet cars
like taxi's, police cars.
And while GM's competing platform,
the C Body began phasing
out by the mid 80s,
the LTD Crown Victoria remained a panther
perched behemoth squarely
through the decade.
Then in 1990, five years before
Post Malone was even born.
There was a little shake up at Ford.
(old fashioned piano music)
Pff, eww.
The guys who were in charge
when the LTD Crown Vic
was launched were on their way
out for undisclosed reasons.
Anyway!
Declining sales made it clear
that boxy square road
boats were on the outs.
New CEO Arthur Poling was
chatting with new president,
Philip Benton, about what to
do with the LTD Crown Victoria.
"Phil, baby, we gotta get rid of this
"big rear wheel drive box."
"Now Art, hear me out.
"Nobody's making executive
class body on frame
"rear wheel drive cars but us and Chevy."
"Bubbie, sweetheart, that's my point."
"Well, what if we make it sleek."
"Sleek, huh, I love it, make it so, babe"
So Ford redesigned the Crown Vic,
dropping it's friction
coefficient from .42 to .34.
That's like me with a
beard, versus clean shaven.
It had a more sleek front
end without a grill.
Unlike Post Malone.
A curved roof and tapered rear.
It still took advantage
of the panther platform,
and it added a more powerful
4.6 liter V8 with overhead cam.
That made 210 horsepower when
fitted with dual exhaust.
It's main competition
however, the Caprice Classic
took top billing that
year from garner motor-
(scary sound)
garnering Motor Trends
car of the year award.
While police departments
still preferred the Caprice,
it looked weird.
Weird enough that the Crown
Victoria began to outsell it.
Ford was cementing itself as
the prime choice for dudes
with families who wanted
super long rear wheel drive V8
four doors with three in
the front seating capacity.
And yes, they sold a ton
of them as fleet vehicles.
People love them as fleet vehicles,
because of that sweet,
sweet panther platform.
(drawing swords)
Then in 1996 Chevy made a
decision that would forever cement
the Crown Vic as the cop
car to end all cop cars.
They discontinued their Caprice Classic.
And Ford was like, "That's tight!"
Mercury Grand Marquis,
the Lincoln Town Car,
and the Crown Victoria
were now the only option
in the boat size rear wheel drive body
on frame American made executive class.
And this gave Ford the exclusive
monopoly on fleet cars.
- Never slow down with a Crown Vic.
- The Crown Vic was
dramatically restyled for 1998.
By adopting the roof that was previously
only used for the better
selling Mercury Grand Marquis.
This is the Crown Vic
that we all know and love,
or know and hate,
because it's pulled over
it's fair share of drivers.
This second generation
Crown Vic has rounded lines,
a cute little bubble top,
and classy grill in front.
Just like Post Malone.
And of course the body on
frame panther platform.
(drawing swords)
Powertrains were revised
to make more power,
and the rear suspension was
tweaked to improve handling.
When you look at it there's really nothing
too remarkable about it.
It just looks like a car.
But that's part of what made
people start to like them.
Around this time if you wanted
a big car you had to get an SUV.
Other than that cars were getting smaller.
A lot of the dudes buying these
big old cars were raised
on the cars of the 60s,
and they wanted the massive
rear-wheel drive cruisers
that they admired growing up.
But they also had more money than they did
when they were kids.
Obviously, that's how grown ups work.
So for as many of the Crown Vic's
that are on the road today,
most of the panther platforms
were being sold as
Mercury's Grand Marquis.
- [Officer] Mind stepping
out of the Grand Marquis sir?
- [Driver] Is there a problem officer?
- No, I just want to take it for a spin.
- The Grand Marquis had
pretty much the same guts
under the hood, but it
had a more stylish grill,
leather interior, and all
the remote access crap
that was a big deal in the early aughts.
So in 2002 the boys at
Ford, Lincoln, Mercury
got on a call together.
And they were all,
"Yo dudes, all the old people
are buying our big cars."
"But how can we get 25 to 35
year olds to buy our cars?"
"Dude, just thing about what
you liked when you were 25."
"Um, super heavy cars with big motors
"that could maybe make
300 horsepower tops?"
"Count me in."
"Yeah, great idea."
"We're so excited!"
"Have you heard that song Soldier Boy?
"Wooo."
So they took the Crown Vic,
gave it a sportier suspension,
a redesigned intake, a
center mounted shifter,
and some pretty bad ass trim.
I know a thing or two about bad ass trim.
("Careless Whisper" by George Michael)
Then they resurrected a moniker
that hadn't been used since 1970.
The Mercury Marauder.
And look at it, it looks bad ass.
And thanks to that intake
it's tuned to 302 horsepower.
And some claim they can even get 330.
Wooooo.
But remember they did this to get
25 year olds into their cars.
I'm serious that was their plan.
And it didn't do that.
The only 25 year old I know
Marauder is Nolan.
And Nolan drinks glasses of milk.
(imitating a wookie)
Mercury sold almost 12,000 Marauders.
Mostly to 50 year old dudes.
While the Grand Marquis
happily sold almost 175,000.
If the Grand Marquis so
thoroughly outsold the Crown Vic,
why are there so many Crown Vic's
still charging down America's highways?
Fleet sales my man.
Fleet sales accounted for over
90% of the Crown Vic's sold.
90 percent.
And once they started going
on sale at police auctions,
savvy car fans started
falling in love with them.
There's no shortage of parts,
the engine is big and robust,
and the engine bay is a enormous.
Crown Vic's are begging
to be tinkered with.
You can turbo or supercharge
them really easily, or do both.
(speeding car engine)
Unfortunately when you
cruise up behind someone
for whatever reason, they
don't get get out of your way.
They just slow down to the speed limit.
It's really annoying.
On September 15, 2011,
the final Ford Crown Victoria
rolled off the assembly line.
Destined for export to Saudi Arabia.
An appropriate ambassador of bygone
American style of automobile.
It was built on a platform
that lasted over 30 years.
The longest in American car history.
Even the fact that they kept
making it after people stopped
buying it is an embodiment of
American automotive tradition.
It may be the most American car ever.

The Truth About Seafoam Fuel Additive

Scotty Kilmer:
rev up your engines,
Bruce P says, what do you think about
seafoam does it make an engine last
longer, okay I'm not a Seafoam fan I
made a video about, it I'll tell you what
I think of seafoam, okay seafoam it's
called seafoam for a reason, because a
long time ago like in the 1940s or
whatever, they used it in outboard motor
engines that were two-stroke, they had
two strokes, you had to mix the oil with
the gas, and the seafoam help clean the
carbon out of the engine, those engines
have a tendency of carboning up because
you're mixing the oil and gas, and the
oil that burns is gonna create carbon on
the Rings and valves and stuff,
so that was very good for that, we drive
four-stroke water-cooled engines in
cars today, and that cleaner is not made
for them, any cleaner that you're gonna
use, you really want the nitrogen based
cleaners in them, and from what I've read
the seafoam does not use those nitrogen
based cleaners, I know that Chevron Techron
does, all the big ones that I know of
contain it, they won't tell you what
percentage it is, but they contain it, from
what
I've read and the research I've done, the
seafoam doesn't contain any of that, it's
an expensive additive to put in, and
that's probably why the other
manufacturers don't tell you originally
Chevron Techron told you how much of
the nitrogen based cleaner was in it, but
they don't tell you anymore so who knows
how much is in there, but to my knowledge
the seafoam doesn't have any in it and
I don't like it, car asks Scotty should I
use a single electrode spark plug or a
multi electric spark plug in my
Volkswagen Golf Mark 5, here's the thing
about spark plugs you gotta understand, they
fire a spark, it makes an electric spark
that ignites the gasoline, a spark will
always move from one part where the
power is to the ground top, to wherever
the closest and most electrically
conductive part is, so you got one
electrode that goes, if
you got four it isn't gonna fire all
four, it's only gonna fire the one that's
the closest that has the least
electrical resistance, so it really
doesn't make any difference you know, that's
just the gimmick that they used to put
in cars and most of them they don't even use
that
stuff anymore
I think they finally realized it was
absurd to do it because the electricity
is always gonna jump to the closest one
that has the least electrical resistance
that's just how electricity works, you
can't change the laws of physics, angel
says Scotty I'm thinking about
buying a 91 Jeep Wrangler for 3500 bucks
and it's a straight cylinder with a
manual transmission, is it a good buy
okay everybody knows that I hate
chrysler products, but that's a 91 jeep
with a straight six and a standard
transmission, those were rock-solid
engines and transmissions, i'd buy it if
you like that vehicle buy it, you know of
course check and have a
mechanic look at it if at all possible to
see if the steel
frame is bent, if it's been wrecked or
flooded and stuff, but if it's in decent
shape and it's got a manual transmission,
hey
those thing can run a really long time
though straight sixes were very good
engine, maaco says Scotty what can you
say about Toyota and Honda smaller
engines, like 1.4 or 1.6 in terms of
reliability thanks, well they're very
reliable engines, Honda's always make
great engines and so has Toyota, now I know
as
time goes on, they're gonna end up
putting gasoline direct injection and
turbochargers on all of them, and even
known for their reliability, they will
wear out faster that's just common sense
that's gonna happen, but if you're
talking about the older ones that are
just normally aspirated, oh they can last
forever, I mean especially the 1.6
they're good strong engines,
I've had many 1.6 Toyota engines myself
and they're just pretty much
indestructible, you can't destroy them
they just keep running and running and running,
079
says Scotty what are some good inexpensive
cars that are good for disabled people,
minivans are more expense and require
installation of ramps and drive the price
even higher, I have a customer who loves
his Toyota Camry who's disabled, it's got
giant
trunks in them and they sold millions of them
you can use ones that are old still in
pretty good shape, or if you can get a
Sienna van, they've made those for years and
years, I had a customer last year sold his
Sienna van, it only had like 90,000 miles
which is nothing for them and he only
got like a couple grand that's all he
wanted, it had a few dings and stuff on it
and that was a great car, he sold it to a
Hispanic guy here that does lawn care he fits
all
his equipment and he loves it, Steve bro
says Scotty what's your opinion on Chinese
made cars,
Chinese used to make really crappy cars
but they're making them better and
better
because their factories are the most
modern ones in the world their new, robots
are making them, from what I read the
biggest problem they have is they have
to pay their workers a ton of money,
because most of their workers have to be
qualified engineers who can maintain and
reprogram the robots as they break down
and as they need their periodic
inspection, so they're whining that their
labor costs are too high, because the
robots do most of the work and the guys
that fix they have to know what they're
doing,
they don't sell them here
yet in the United States, but I suppose one
day they will like everything else, so if
you never want to miss another one of my

How to Tell if Your Car Needs an Alignment

Scotty Kilmer:
rev up your engines, today I can help you
answer the question, does my car need a
front and alignment, now to understand
front-end alignments, I'll give you a little
history lesson, long before cars, people
run around in wagons and horses pulled
they just had a hub axle, a wooden wheel
would fit over it, sometimes they had
metal inners with bearings, it would just
spin and be pulled down the road,
they had rudimentary braking systems and
suspension systems, but they didn't have
any adjustments to a line of wheels,
they were just on an axle and they spun
straight, but cars of course are
different, they go relatively fast 60 - 70
miles an hour can be a cruising speed,
and the front wheels have to be aligned
so the vehicle goes straight and doesn't
waver to one side or the other, but as
nutty as it sounds, that doesn't mean the
wheels are turned perfectly straight, if
both wheels were going perfectly
straight, the car would squeal when you
cornered and a front-wheel drive car
would pull one way or another, there's
various adjustments that have to be made
to make it track correctly, I'll take this
wheel off to show you, here the tie rod
has a nut and a threaded rod, so it can
be adjusted to make the wheel point in
or out as need be, but unfortunately
they're making cars cheaper than used to,
when I was a young mechanic in the
sixties, cars had much more adjustments
to compensate for wear or damage, these
bolts here used to have adjustable slots
so you could move it in and out that way
and when you go to the top of the inside,
these used to have adjustable slots in
it too, so you can make all kinds of
adjustments which you can no longer do
now yes a real pro alignment guy, they can
drill holes and make all
kinds of adjustments, if they want to
spend the time and energy, but most
places, they're just going to do the one
adjustment they can do and leave it at
that, so if you had a pothole or
something, and major damage is done that
bends the strut or the a-frame, you need
to replace parts, it needs a lot more
than just the simple alignment, so if
you're driving in a place that has
pretty good roads, your not always smack
into the giant holes, the only thing
they can adjust is
the in and the out of the tire, so it
really doesn't need to be done all that
often, if your car doesn't pull to one
side or the other, or shake at high
speeds, and the tires aren't wearing unevenly
you don't need a front end
alignment, a tire that needed alignment
you'd have either scalloped wear on the
inside or the outside
this one's perfectly even, so you can see
the alignment doesn't need to be touched
so in many modern cars, guys will just
try to always sell you an alignment, oh
you need tires and an alignment, well let's
face it if your old tires didn't wear
really unevenly, it doesn't shake on a
highway or pull one side to the other
you don't really need a front end alignment,
but if you do need a front end alignment
don't follow what some guys and say in videos that
you can get little rulers, measure it and
adjust it yourself, we're dealing with
thousandths of an inch under loaded and
unloaded conditions, it has to be done by
a pro with some very good equipment like
this, a serious job needs serious
equipment, these laser-guided alignment
systems are extremely accurate, they go
to thousands of an inch, they'll find any
problems that an alignment system has,
and then they can make adjustments, you
can't do this stuff at home, they do the
rear wheels, they do the front wheels
they're computer driven with expert
information, they have the adapters that
you put on all of the four wheels to
make sure it's set right, and the laser
measures are extremely accurate,
needless to say, you can't do this at
home, unless you want to spend a lot of money, you
leave it to a pro, now again when I was a
younger mechanic, you only had to worry
about front-end alignments, because the
rear of the car, most cars were all
rear-wheel drive with a solid axle and
there was no adjustments in the back, but
not so in most modern cars, most modern
cars have independent suspension, and the
rear suspension has alignment bars too
as you can see as we go under here,
there's an alignment bar here for the
right rear tire, and alignment bar here
for the left rear tire, like the tie rods
in the front, these rods have adjustable
nuts, so you can adjust the side-to-side
motion
of the rear tires, now these rear
adjustments, really don't need to be
touched all that often, because it's
pretty solid in the rear-end, generally
what happens to the rear is either you
get in a wreck or you hit a giant pothole,
something gets bent and if it's only
bent a little, you can use these bars to
adjust for the bend and as nutty as it
may sound, if your rears are really badly
out of alignment, it makes the front end
act squirrely, just the way it feeds back
into the front, so I've had many people
over the years
bring me a car that had been hit in the
back or in a giant pothole with one of
the rear tires and they'll say, oh my
front ends acting squirrely and it was
actually the back end that was out of
alignment causing the front to shimmy,
now there's more modern rear
independence set up in the back, makes
the vehicles ride a lot better and corner
a lot better too, but you do have to
realize, it's yet another thing that you
have to have checked every once in a
while, so that you don't have any
alignment problems, but of course the
same advice is true in the back as the
front, if your tires are wearing evenly
like these tires, they don't get any
shaking or anything, odds are your rear
alignment it's perfectly fine, really the
main time you'd want the rear checked,
would be if you hit a big pothole or got
in a wreck, anytime you get in any kind
of wreck, you would definitely want a
four wheel alignment done before you
pick the car up, because you want to make
sure that there isn't any damage and of
course if there was, it would wear the
tires out and take a while, and then the
insurance might not pay for it, so you
would want that done anytime your car
was in any kind of a wreck, you'd want
all four wheels aligned, so now you know
a little bit more about front end
alignments, how really you can never do it
accurately yourself, because it's such
small thousandth of an inch gradations,
but that you really may not have to have
it done very often,
so if you never want to miss another one
of my new car repair videos, remember to
ring that Bell!

doing the ceramic coating so that's what
we're gonna be doing we're gonna be
adding the ceramic coating to the car
today I also wanted the OCD wash it so
we're gonna go through four or five
different steps on washing the car so
I'm gonna show you the products that I'm
going to use and we're gonna wash the
car tonight let it dry overnight go
through and erase in the morning go
through a nice clean slate and then we
are going to ceramic it tomorrow and
then we'll leave it in the warehouse for
24 hours so it can cure but as you guys
saw in the first video here is that
beautiful car that we got oh this thing
I'm so happy that Bogner decided to get
this car I'm already kind of enjoying it
so we are gonna do a time-lapse but this
thing is just just so badass and look if
you've got to look at the brakes oh look
gonna do is let me show you real quick
what I do when I OCD wash my car out of
the truck so we are first thing we're
going to be using as a sprayer the
foamer and we're gonna foam on bar the
bug and tar remover basically this is a
rinse a spray and off we don't touch the
car with this product this caught this
product we're going to go and we're
going to go ahead and wash the car with
this product then we're going to clay
bar the car
then we're gonna move over to the clean
slate and then tomorrow we're gonna race
the car and just make sure that
nothing's on the car before we go to the
quartz ceramic coating so basically
tonight we're gonna go through step 1
step 2 step 3 step 4
so basically we're gonna go through four
steps and then we're gonna drive the car
and we'll let the car sit in the
warehouse overnight and then from there
we'll go ahead and apply the coating so
you guys can get another look at this
thing geez now I know the BRZ ain't
nothing new right I know there's tons of
BR disease out there people got them
we're gonna we're gonna hook it up me
and we're gonna we've got some plans for
this thing so stay tuned to the channel
but I'm gonna get everything set up
we're gonna shoot this in time-lapse
basically you're just gonna watch me
just wash this car and watch this car
and wash this car and wash this car I
want this paint perfect for the ceramic
coating so here we go
all right so we got the first coat down
basically what this is is this is simply
the bug and tar remover this is a nice
good cleaner so what I do is I lay this
down on the car and I let it soak and
we're not gonna touch the car here let's
get away from this so we're not gonna
touch the car we're not gonna wash the
part yet
don't touch the car yet this is simply a
pre wash so what we're gonna do is we're
gonna let it set in its gonna get it's
gonna lift everything off of the paint
all the bugs and everything and we're
gonna use the pressure washer and we're
gonna give the thing a very good rinse
then we're gonna spray it again with
suds then we're gonna wash the car then
we're gonna spray it clean again then
we're gonna use our clay bar and we're
gonna clay bar the car then we're gonna
go into the clean slate so this is
simply the first step this is simply to
get everything off of the paint okay
so we're gonna let this sit on here and
you can see it's really just lifting
everything off of the paint
so all we're going to do is we're just
going to simply just rinse this off
and if you if you look real close to the
paint you'll actually see it you'll
actually see that the the car is
actually clean really it's actually very
clean so it's already doing this job see
it's already removing all of the bus and
stuff like that so that's what we want
we want to get this lifted off of the
paint okay wiped it clean now we're on
our phase 2 now the phase 2 what I do
let me flip this around and you can see
this is super super study so this is the
citrus wash & gloss and it is super
super study very very nice the Sud gun
works very good on this now you can see
all the suds now sorry about the noise
we've got a wash bucket which has got
soap in the rags and then we have a
rinse bucket which simply just is the
rinse or wash so we're now going to go
ahead and wash this with the rag and I
use a microfiber rag so we're gonna go
ahead and wash this top to bottom all
the way from the top to the bottom after
every section we rinse the rag and put
new soap on it okay
all right so we've got it washed
everything is good and I wanted to show
you guys my nip I use this myth to do
the wheels and the reason why I do this
is because you can grab and you can kind
of touch the wheels and clean the wheels
so let me show you real quick why I love
this myth is you can grab each of the
wheel and clean each of the spokes so
it's a little hard I'm trying to get the
camera out but you see I can grab these
spokes and I only use this mitt on the
wheels I never use this mitt on the
paint only on the wheels okay now I did
spray it with some iron first some iron
off
nice and clean
can you give the car another rinse
so we're done with the second wash now
yeah and we can see how that bug stuff
really really works really gets it nice
and clean
so what we're gonna do now is we've
basically we're gonna now clay bar it
it's back light out of here we're gonna
go ahead and clay bar it now and then
we're gonna do the clean slate the
reason why I want to do the clean slate
after the play bar is I want to make
sure that the clean slate gets anything
that the clay may lead I believe the
clay bar that I got is a traditional
clay I know there's some new synthetics
up and clean up ours for a while I
really like the old school play stuff so
that's what I'm going to do so right now
we're gonna clay the whole car and all
of the extra stuff off there now you can
see on the car
where the stickers were on the car so
you see there's a sticker there and
there's a sticker up here you can see
some stuff up here and some stickers on
the fenders so we're gonna clay all of
that off but you see this is see we
don't want to rub this this off it's
actually kind of rough so we're gonna
play that off it'll pull it all off of
the paint and then we're going to use a
clean slate to give it that nice clean
slate again all right so we are running
out of daylight but this is perfect this
is the perfect time to clean your car
it's cool the water's not drying on the
car so I've got a clay part all good the
little black spots that I showed you in
the previous video I'm gonna use eraser
it's basically denatured alcohol
it's basically alcohol fancy alcohol I'm
gonna drench a clean microfiber and then
I'm gonna go over those areas and get
those areas nice and clean before I do
the clean slate
next up clean slate get it clean slate
get it dried get it into the shop
all right that's it
we're clean I'll tell you that clean
slate stuff I've never used that clean
slate sorry let's get out from I've
never used a clean slate before it's got
a chili oil maybe or there's some type
of oil in it that that is a very good
cleanser now I'm assuming it's like a
Tullio oil but I could tell even after i
clay part it how much better it worked
so get the clean slate before you do the
ceramic coating or even what I would
recommend is you know look if you were
if you're an old school waxer look I
believe in wax but I'll have time to wax
anymore so I mean this is the the Super
Duty super beast you're gonna see I I
don't have time to do it so we're gonna
have to go through and and we've got a
different option for that I'm not gonna
ceramic coat that but the clean slate
worked very very well so I know it's
getting a little dark but
and it's and it's just there's just it's
just clean clean clean
now it's wet but there's like it's like
it's just crazy it's just crazy clean
like it's so clean I mean it's supposed
to be right so we're gonna go ahead and
get it dried and we're gonna let it sit
overnight and get this thing focus we're
gonna let it sit overnight in the shop
to get completely dried and then
tomorrow we're gonna do a quickie racer
on it just to kind of get it clean but
we'll get it pulled in the garage here
in a minute when it's dried I'll let it
set alright everyone so we've got the
car clean clean clean clean clean
it's crazy clean I'm almost scared
there's like no shine on it it's it's I
mean there's a shine on it but it's like
it's not a high light shine right cuz we
stripped everything off of it so I get
it I get it I get it I get it first of
all I'm gonna forewarn you my shop is
kind of a mess that relative storage but
anyways sorry that was kind of graphic
but anyways the car is in for the
evening we're gonna go ahead and get it
dried and tomorrow morning we're gonna
go ahead and throw the racer on it and
we're gonna do another quick just make
sure that everything is off this thing
for the ceramic coating that's the
biggest thing that I heard about the
ceramic coating is make sure that the
surface is perfect now looking at it I
don't see any swirl marks which is
perfect that's like step one like make
sure there's no swirl marks
so we're gonna be using the eraser I got
it already here
so tomorrow we're gonna go through after
car dries do a quick wipe down with the
eraser just make sure that the surface
is completely clean and then we're gonna
head on with ceramic coating so this
should be fun
see you guys tomorrow what's up everyone
welcome back day to ceramic coating the
BRZ not going as planned if you guys
haven't seen the steampunk office it
seems like every time I come into this
shop everything takes twice as long so
last night when I pulled the car in kind
of going over the car I didn't like the
surface of the car it had too many minor
imperfections luckily no swirl marks but
there's some minor imperfections from
bugs and and some of the bird droppings
so I've got to polish the car
I've been polishing the car I'm doing a
to cut polish I'm actually doing a fine
and then an ultrafine polish to get the
shine back out but I can show you this
is the I have polished the car once so
you can see really actually came out
absolutely beautiful but you can see
that some of the imperfections I wasn't
able to get out let's see if I can get
them on camera there's a little little
dropping mark there but all in all most
of the stuff came out and it actually
I'm so much happier that I polished the
paint because it feels just it's just
it's that little bit so and you can see
like the hood is just like it's just
glistening so I've still got the
ultrafine polish to go just to kind of
give it that extra extra shine dogs in
the house what's up dog what's up dog
are you in trouble would you get in
trouble for
all right so anyways so I'm gonna keep
polishing this thing we'll be back to do
the ceramic coating here in a little bit
but I got one more polish to do so not
as plan but it's gonna be absolutely
perfect all right so a couple hours
polish done glad I did it
look I've everything that I watched I
watched a ton and ton a ton of YouTube
videos when I first bought this CQ 3.0
ceramic coating and every single one was
like make sure the prep is done
correctly I figured brand-new car hasn't
been washed it would be good
unfortunately because we waited just a
tad too long some of the bird droppings
did go into the clear coat there's
probably about four or five that I
wasn't able to get out rest polished out
so let's flip this around and show you
guys how good this thing looks already
and you can see I mean hopefully you can
tell from maybe earlier but from my
standpoint I mean this is a thousand
times nicer I mean the shine on the car
now is just absolutely gorgeous and the
reflection I mean there's just
everything is perfect so so I'm happy
with it there's like I said there's a
couple spots especially in the hood see
if we can catch any there's one right
there you can see that there's a little
spot right there that I wasn't able to
get but outside that you can see there's
pretty much absolutely no imperfections
in the paint now so we did it right we
did it right so now it's time to apply
the C Q let's get focused here the C Q
UK ceramic coating this is what I opted
to go with so there was a lot of diff
options to go with stay tunes to hit the
subscribe button I'm actually f11 the
truck the reason is is it's a little bit
simpler to do and there's not as much
real estate this is going to take
forever on the truck so stay tuned so
we're gonna hit the high speed camera
we're gonna start applying we're
applying like 12 or 24 by 24 inch
squares basically wipe it off next
square wipe it off with extra where I've
gone so we've got to do that over the
whole car we can't let it sit for over
two minutes otherwise it starts to react
different with the paint so we want to
make sure we get it on and off within
two minutes so here we go
all right so I got the first coat down I
got a coat down a coat down the reason
why it's a first coat is it went on
super super easy so some of the things
let me tell you this first
when I first apply it because there's
nothing on the surface it kind of
dragged until it touched the lubricant
again and then it became slick so I kind
of did the crisscross motions so I kind
of went back and forth it's a tad hot in
the shop but I'm I'm out of the Sun and
everything so it didn't dry at all I
buffed it off within about a minute or
so and it came off and it dried perfect
I'll tell you this is probably out of
surface paint that I've ever felt one of
the best feeling surfaces I've ever
touched like it's just I mean I don't
know if it's all my hand yeah obviously
it's all my hands too but the hands in
the car but let me spin this around and
show you guys this thing just it's just
so
it's just so wet it's just so amazing
looking like just even even better than
before
and so I'm just I'm so happy with it
like and and that we polished the paint
and everything like we did it right we
did it right do it right guys now they
sell ceramic coatings for windshields I
can't imagine that it's much different
so I went ahead and ceramic coated all
the windows I did all the windows that
went on went off really nice and easy
and I'll tell you that glass feels great
like it feels super super smooth I did
do the headlights and the taillights so
I went ahead and did headlights and
taillights I went over all the black
plastic pieces that are in the trims in
the front and on the side of the car so
absolutely I'm like super stoked now I'm
gonna be back and finish this video
because I'm gonna go and check out to
see if I can do a second coat because I
only went through about a third of the
bottle yeah just about half the bottle
little more than or a little less than
half the bottle so I've got like
two-thirds or more than half the bottle
left now I did buy the big bottle
because I was anticipating to use this
on the truck so I did buy the big bottle
but I'm gonna go back and see if I can
do a second coat see if there's any
benefits to it if there is look it took
me half an hour 45 minutes to to do the
one coat so I think I'm gonna do a
second coat and I may even do the wheels
because I have seen people doing wheels
but just look at that just wet wet look
just absolutely amazing looking
this car this is this is a sexy-ass car
this car is gonna be we're gonna do okay
I can't wait I cannot wait until you
guys see what we did this car but it's
gonna be clean and it's gonna end up
being fast so I'll be back see if we can
do a second coat and we'll go from there
all right everyone well that's it I did
two coatings I had the extra so I
thought why not
it didn't seem like it was going to
affect much but it actually gave it a
little bit more shine so I'm happy I
went ahead with the second coating so
now we're just letting it so it's got a
sure now so it doesn't eat 24 hours
curing but there's a second step after
you ceramic coat you need to use the
reload the reload is like it's basically
a top coating to kind of just give a top
protective coating so you're supposed to
apply that about an hour after the
coating so we've been about an hour so
I'm gonna finish this up I'm gonna
reload this and get it out but thanks
for watching the video guys hit that
subscribe button smash that like button
leave me a comment was there an easier
way for me to do it did I do it an easy
way that I teach anything did I just
look like a flippin moron I don't know
but anyways thank guys for watching
final walk around with the car looks
amazing
just amazing huh anyways thanks again
