Bachman Chevrolet:

In this video we'll show you how to use the remote start on all Chevy models.
On your key fob, hit the lock button once.
Then hold down on the start button.
You can now unlock the car to enter your vehicle.
Hitting the start button again cancels
the remote start and hitting the lock
button
returns the car to its locked state. Here
we can see that the car is locked. Holding

has started the vehicle and started the
last set air conditioning
settings. Unlock the vehicle and enter. For push to start models,

How to Remote Start Your Chevy

How to Remote Start Your Chevy

Berger Chevrolet:

Hi everyone, Doug Schrader with Berger Chevrolet
here.
Today I am going to go through two different
ways that Chevrolet gives you to remote start
your vehicle.
First way we will show you is with your key
fob.
It's a very simple operation.
First step, lock the vehicle.
Next step, press and hold this half circle.
You'll get a blink, and your vehicle will
start up.
You have two cycles you can run your vehicle
at 10 minutes per cycle, then you actually
do have to go out and use your key, but that
is more than enough time to get most of these
vehicles warmed up and ready during these
winter months.
The second way we'll show you is through your
mobile device.
First step, you have to have the MyChevrolet
app installed on your phone.
You click on that, open it up.
Make sure you choose your correct vehicle.
Here I am going to select my Colorado.
You go into "Remote Command Key Fob".
Here you have a lock, unlock, engine start,
and horns and lights if you need to locate
your vehicle.
We are simply going to press the engine start.
It is going to give you a prompt to make sure
it's legal; go ahead.
Enter your PIN.
It will acknowledge that it's processing here,
and you get the green check mark confirmation,
you see the vehicle is started back there.
Same rules: two 10-minute cycles before you
have to go out and actually use your key again.
With the phone app you can actually be halfway
around the world and start your vehicle so
no more worries about whether it's in the
garage, a parking structure, parked across
the street.
Anywhere you are at, if you have a data connection
on your phone you can remote start your vehicle.
Hope you find these handy, feel free to comment
below with any topics you would like us to
cover in the future, and check us out for
more updates later.

MyChevrolet App: Overview

MyChevrolet App: Overview

Bachman Chevrolet:

In this video we're gonna be looking at
the MyChevrolet App.
So here's the app a new open it. A grid of 9 apps total.
First app is roadside assistance. It
shows and pinpoints your car and gives
you a number that you can call for
assistance. Next we've got a parking reminder.
Again, shows you where your car is, it allows you to add a photo as a reminder,
so it opens up your camera so you can take a picture of your car.
And you can also set a note, so you can
remind yourself in words.
For example, "it's over there"...not
very helpful, but that's where your car is.
Next we've got the schedule service, so you can find which dealer you want, what cars
coming in,
what kind of service you need, when you
need to be in a now and out. Then to find a
dealer you can
use your current location, search by zip code, search by dealer name,
or set your preferred dealer.
The next icon is Chevy's current offers
icon and it allows you
to look through all of Chevy's current offers on service and maintenance.
Next is the owner's manual and it's a
digital manual
for your vehicle, so you can look through everything that you would
be able to look through in the physical
manual in your vehicle.
You've also got the lights and indicators
tab that shows you all the different lights
or indicators that may pop up
on your dashboard that you wouldn't know and it gives you a description of what they mean.
Next you've the profile settings, and that
allows you to custom
and tailor the app to you and your
vehicle.
Finally, one of the coolest features is the
OnStar remote link.
Now you have to have this setup with
OnStar,
but it allows you to look through your
wifi connection in your car,
hands-free calling. The map setting
allows you to find where your car is and
pinpoint it, and you can also send
directions.
So I wanna go to Starbucks; I can find it.
I can either call them
or send turn by turn to my car.
Next I can look through my vehicle status
and that shows me my fuel range, my oil
life,
and my tire pressure.
Also it shows me my fuel efficiency.
So over the lifetime the mpgs, how
many miles I've gone,
but the coolest feature is the key fob. It allows me
to lock, unlock, remote start, cancel the start,
turn on the horn and lights, and stop
the horn and lights.
So we'll show you a small
demonstration of the key fob feature,
which is everyone's favorite.
So here we have our Malibu and I just
remote locked it.
So there it's locked, now I'm gonna hit
remote start button.
Now it will take a moment considering
that I'm actually sending the signal to
a satellite
an OnStar satellite in space and
sending it back to the car, but it's
really cool.
There you can see it locks,
and the other lights turn on to show that it just started. Alright now, I'm gonna cancel that start.
I didn't really mean to turn on my car.
So now it's gonna send that signal
again and there it
went, it turned off.
Okay so now my mother-in-law called
me and told me that my car,
somebody's trying to break in my car,
while I'm at the airport so I turn on the horn
and lights.
Pretty helpful.
Now they've run away and I don't
wanna leave it in an airport parking lot
honking,
so hit the button and it turns off.
So that's how to use the MyChevrolet
app and
the accompanying
the OnStar remote link app.

Chevrolet Equinox Replacement Remote Programming 2007 2010

Chevrolet Equinox Replacement Remote Programming 2007 2010

carandtruckremotes:

Welcome to CarandTruckRemotes.com video channel.
Today we’re going to show you how to program
a remote for… we are in the Cadillac Escalade,
but those instructions also work for most
full size GM trucks and SUVs, and also some
cars like Chevy Impala ’05 and up or Buick
Lucerne. So, alright, it’s actually very
easy.
We have one remote that’s programmed, and
a couple of remotes that do not work right
now.
All you have to do is to switch ignition to
ON position, then you have to press repeatedly
the button right here. On certain vehicles
maybe, it may be placed in a different area.
You have to keep pressing it until you see
“relearn remote key”. OK, so we got that.
Now we have to push this button right here
(the check mark button). OK, “remote key
learning activated”. OK, now we have to
press LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote,
and just keep holding them down for about
15 seconds. (*beep *beep). Apparently that
was enough, it didn’t need 15 seconds.
OK, now we have to do the same thing with
the existing remote to sort of synchronize
(*beep *beep).
OK, now both remotes should be working. So,
we switch the ignition OFF to exit programming
mode.
And let’s see if it works. OK, and now this
remote.
Now both remotes are programmed. As you see
it’s very easy.

Chevy Colorado ZR2: How To Use The Remote Start

PowerSports:

Hello, and welcome back to Speed Freak
Garage, home of PowerSports on YouTube!
so real quick if you want to use the
remote start on your Colorado zr2 it is
not like the good old days where you
could just hold the remote Start button
so you have to press lock three two one
press and hold and then release
so again you have to press lock three
count and then press and hold it's a
very specific sequence and obviously to
shut it off you just press and hold and
it's off and it I had to Google it
because when I first bought the truck I
just press and hold the button and it
wouldn't start like every other remote
start I've had for my entire life
multiple multiple remote starts you just
press and hold the button but in this
case you have to press lock three two
one press and hold and then she starts
up so not to suffocate myself so anyway
thanks for watching guys and I will see
you next time
nothing can break me no no nothing

HOW TO: Pair iPhone Bluetooth to Chevrolet Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban (2013 Models)

HOW TO: Pair iPhone Bluetooth to Chevrolet Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban (2013 Models)

Bachman Auto Group:

Hi, I'm Tannis Bachman. I'm here at Bachman
Chevrolet in Louisville, Kentucky with Dan.
He'll be showing you guys how to pair your
iPhone with the Bluetooth for the Silverado,
Tahoe, and Suburban. The nice thing about
the Bluetooth technology in most Chevrolet
vehicles is that it is very easy to operate.
Specifically today we are in the Chevrolet
Silverado and it is the same with the Tahoe
and Suburban. It's really just a matter of
a couple voice commands and pushing a couple
of buttons. On the steering wheel there is
actually a place you can push and hold, it
actually shows a face and a phone so you know
exactly what you're doing. Push and hold that
for a couple of seconds and wait for the command.
Ready. Bluetooth. To pair your Bluetooth device
now say "pair" otherwise say "no." Pair. At
this point make sure your iPhone is open,
go to your Settings, look
for the right connection on your iPhone. It'll
actually say Your Vehicle right there; it
says, "Not paired" so you know you're not
paired. Push that, and make sure you enter
the pin number. Now with the correct pin number
with the Tahoe, Suburban, and Silverado will
actually show where you're odometer would
be. In this particular case it is 3281. Hit
pair. Please say the nametag you want to give
this phone. Dan's iPhone. About to store Dan's
iPhone, does that sound ok? Yes. Dan's iPhone
has been successfully paired. Returning to
the main menu. Ready. At this point we'll
exit and your iPhone is ready to use. The
Bluetooth connection in the Silverado, Suburban,
and Tahoe, will not just automatically recognize
the contacts that are in your phone. So you
can't just simply voice dial somebody just
because they're stored in your phone. However,
these vehicles do have an internal memory
and you can store up to 30 different phone
numbers for your convenience or the ones that
you use the most often. It is also a very
simple process. It's just a matter of pushing
the button on the steering wheel, holding
it down for a minute or two, and following
a few simple commands. For example, "Store."
Store. Please say the phone number you would
like to store. 502-499-6161. Please say the
nametag, avoid using a number as the name.
Bachman Chevrolet. About to store "Bachman
Chevrolet", does that sound okay? Yes. Okay,
storing Bachman Chevrolet. Returning to the
Main Menu. Now I've stored Bachman Chevrolet
into the internal memory of this Silverado
so if I ever want to call them it's just a
matter of pushing a button and telling it
what to do. Ready. Call. Call using Dan's
iPhone. Please say a name or number to call.
Bachman Chevrolet. Okay, calling Bachman Chevrolet
using Dan's iPhone. Thank you for calling
Bachman Auto Group. Joyce you're about to
be famous. Why? Because we're demonstrating
the Bluetooth and we're putting this up on
YouTube. Oh my gosh. Thank you! Alright, thank
you. Call ended. And now you can see how easy
it is to use the Bluetooth functionality in
the Silverado, Tahoe, and Suburban.

How to Replace a Starter Solenoid : Diagnose a Car Starter's Command Wire

How to Replace a Starter Solenoid : Diagnose a Car Starter's Command Wire

expertvillage:

In this clip, we are going to talk about the
proper service procedure in order to diagnose
remove and replace your vehicles starter solenoid.
In this step we are going to talk about what
starter solenoid is and the proper way to
diagnose the command wire from your ignition
switch. Your stater solenoid is a very heavy
duty switch. Now what it does is, it takes
the load off of your ignition switch to turn
your starter. Your starter is going to run
off several hundred amperes of power. If that
was loaded through a very small wire and through
your ignition switch that would burn it up
almost immediately. So what they do is they
use this command wire, which runs right from
your ignition, to this heavy duty switch.
It commands your solenoid to engage the positive
from your battery to the positive side of
your starter, thus engaging the starter motor.
In order to diagnose the rest of the system
and make sure it is actually getting the command,
what you do is you remove the command wire,
you insert your test light into it, and you
hook the other lead up to the negative. From
there you?re going to hop in the vehicle and
turn the ignition key to the crank position;
all the way turned. Now as you can see, the
light lit up. Go ahead and cycle it a few
times. What that does is test the circuitry
from this wire from the very point of the
solenoid all the way back through the relays
and to the ignition switch itself. That is
the functionality of a starter solenoid and
the proper way to diagnose the command wire.
