2019 Chevrolet Traverse Review: A Roomy 3-Row Family SUV

2019 Chevrolet Traverse Review: A Roomy 3-Row Family SUV

Edmunds:

SPEAKER 1: We've
been talking a lot
about vehicles that are good for
families with young children.
The Honda Pilot comes
to mind is one that's
particularly baby friendly.
But kids grow up, and
families with teens
have different car needs.
The 2019 Chevy Traverse
promises cargo space and a more
grown up approach
to the midsize SUV.
Will it do its chores without
being reminded seven times?
Let's find out.
First, a very
important question.
Does it do a burnout?

No.
A little bit.
All right.
The Traverse does a burnout
if you start on gravel.
Today's midsize SUV as are like
minivans in flannel shirts--
they're trying to
look more macho.
The Traverse was
redesigned in 2018,
and I think Chevy
did a good job.
It's boxy, kind of
aggressive, but not boring.
I recently reviewed
the Kia Sorento,
and in the comments
on that video,
I got scolded by Kia
Sorento for saying
that the Kia wasn't sporty.
That made me realize, OK,
sportiness is subjective.
I mean, it all depends on
what you were driving before.
So OK, mid-sized SUVs are
sporty in the same way
that bowling is sporty.
And now, you can all be mad
at me for dissing bowling.
But what I mean is it's not the
same as a Miata or a Corvette.
It's specifically designed
to be a softer ride,
and to be more gentle and quiet.
To me, that's not sporty.

That said, the Traverse has
a pretty zippy 3.6 liter
V8, making 310
horsepower, and backed
by a nine speed
automatic transmission.
It has noticeably
more passing power
than most of the
crossovers I've been in.
It's good the V6 is
such a solid engine,
because there really
aren't any others
that you can choose from.
Well, that's not true.
There is the RS trim, which
comes with a turbo charged
four cylinder, and it gets a
little bit better gas mileage.
But honestly, the V6
gets 20 miles per gallon,
and that's right on par with the
rest of the SUVs in this class.

On the highway around town, the
Traverse has an excellent ride.
It's very comfortable,
it's very predictable.
And it's very quiet.
For more spirit and driving like
on this curvy mountain road,
well, it's not the car
I would choose for fun,
but I feel perfectly safe.
Like I said, this
isn't what it's for.

Safety is obviously
a major consideration
when you're buying a vehicle to
haul your whole family around
in.
This Traverse, the High Country,
has everything you'd need.
Lane change assist,
and lane keep assist,
and pedestrian warning,
emergency braking,
adaptive cruise control.
All the things, but you
can't even option them up
on the lower trim models.
And I think when a lot of
the competitors like Honda
and Toyota and Kia are
offering that stuff as standard
all the way up and
down the trim levels,
Chevy ought to get
with the program.
Stop being so stingy.

The Traverse isn't
intended to be primarily
an off road or tow vehicle,
but it's capable of both
if you option for the all
wheel drive and tow package.
The controls for that
are in this mode dial
down here by the shifter.
And you can go two wheel drive,
all wheel drive, the off road
setting, and a
tow setting, which
I think changes shift points.
The dial is a different
approach to all wheel drive
than some of the competitors in
this sort of front wheel drive
midsize segment,
because usually, they
do it as a sort of
automatic all wheel drive.
Like, it just senses
if there's wheel slip,
and moves from front wheel
drive to all wheel drive
for as long as you need it.
But Chevy has sort of giving
you more control as the driver.

We tend to talk about
the infotainment systems
in these reviews while we're
parked, which is fine if you
think ahead, and are ready.
But a lot of times,
you're on the road,
and then you're like, oh
crap, did I plug my phone in.
And I don't want to
listen to this anymore.
And it's always
interesting to see
how hard it is to
figure out these systems
while you're driving, which
I guess you're not really
supposed to be doing, but
you know that you are.
Anyhow, it's easy
to plug a phone in.
It doesn't matter which
USB you plug into.
Apple CarPlay or Android Auto
will work from either one.
And everything in the screen
is reachable and visible
while you're driving
without having to look away
from the road for very long.
The steering wheel controls
aren't quite as easy.
I don't like the adaptive
cruise control at all.
I can barely figure
out how to turn it on
and I have a hard time
knowing when it's on.
It just doesn't show
very much in the dash.
It's great that the Traverse is
so big and roomy on the inside,
but it's also very
big on the outside.
And with some pretty
substantial blind spots,
that can make
parking intimidating.
Luckily, there's some
tech that makes it easier.
There's a rear view camera,
and a 360 degree camera
so you can see everything
that surrounds you.
There's also a pretty
nifty little camera here
in the rear view.
Mirror and rear sensor
to tell you when
you're getting close to stuff.
Let's see how it works.
Going backwards in
a straight line,
not going to hit anything today.

Parked.
Success.
OK, so Traverse is great
at backing into spots.
But what about
pulling into a spot?
You know, it's got
a pretty long hood,
and I can't really
see the end of it.
I can still use the
camera, that's great.

No parking sensors in the front?
What the what?

Earlier, I said
that the Traverse
was a really good choice for
parents with teenage children.
One of the reasons I said that
is the Traverse has something
called Teen Driver,
a monitoring system
for when your kid takes the car.
It's not like valet mode,
where it limits them
to first gear or 30 miles an
hour or something like that.
I mean, you can drive normally.
But it gives a report card at
the end that you can go over
with your kid, and talk about,
Oh, what was their top speed,
and did any of the
traction aides come on.
Was there any emergency braking.
And so it can kind
of help you help
them to improve their
driving without you
having to be in the car.
Oh, it also prevents them
from turning on the radio
until their seatbelts are on.

The Traverse has a
tough guy exterior,
but inside, it's
surprisingly soft.
The steering wheel
is pretty squishy,
it has a lot of leather
trim on most of the spots
that you're going to touch.
And overall, it's
pretty luxurious.
Now bear in mind, we're
in the High Country
trim, which is the top
of the line Traverse.
So as you go down
in the trim levels,
you won't have all
of this luxury.
Traverse come standard with
a seven inch touchscreen,
and we have the optional
eight inch here.
There are plenty of storage
cubbies and a nice big console.
And so many options
for charging a phone.
From front to back, I
counted 10 different ways
that you could plug-in and
charge a phone, or a tablet,
or something similar.
And that's including USB
ports 12 volts AC adapter.
There's even a hidden charging
spot behind the screen in case
you're a spy, and you have
like, a secret burner phone
or something.
I don't know.
The point is, there
are enough spots
for everyone in the car to
charge their phones and then
some.
Noticing all the
places to charge
your phone was sort of
what made me think, man,
this would be a
really good vehicle
for somebody with teenagers.
Because you know, little kids
might use the dropdown screen
or whatever, but big kids tend
to bring their entertainment
with them.
And I just feel like Chevy
is thinking about that.
You know, they have
a lot of leg room,
and there's a lot
of charging spots.
And there's sort of
a lot of privacy.
Like, they could sit all the
way in the back and sort of feel
like they weren't stuck
right up with mom and dad.
There's plenty of room in
the front of the Traverse.
There's a lot of space between
the driver and the passenger,
and between the
driver and the door.
The seats however, are
a little bit narrow.
And there's actually
a big gap here.
And if you are broader,
you might feel a little bit
cramped.
They're also very firm.
Which is fine.
Some people like a firm seat.
Me, if I'm driving in
a big SUV, I kind of
want to feel like I'm
in a barcalounger.
So I wouldn't mind if
they were a little softer.
They are heated though,
and that makes up for it.
One thing Chevy did really
well in the Traverses
give it this bright
airy feeling.
It's really nice and light
all the way from the front
to the back of the car.
I hate it when you
get into these SUV
and it's just all
black plastic and you
feel like you're in sort of
a terrible cave of misery.
The Traverse doesn't
feel like that.
It's really bright.
Some of that might be
from the twin sunroof
on this car, which is
standard on the High Country,
but you can option it on
some of the lower levels.
Hurray for second rows
with plenty of space.
There's foot room, there's knee
room, there's plenty of room
all around you.
It's nice back here.
Especially when you option
up to the captain's chairs.
Feel pretty important.
My same complaints
about the front seats
apply to the back seats
in that they aren't plush,
they're a little bit firm.
But they're totally comfortable.
I'd be happy to sit back here.
The best thing about the second
and third rows in the Traverse
is how easy it is to get
from one to the other.
I mean, you can just walk there,
like it's a freaking airplane.
Or if you're getting
in from outside,
the passenger seat
tilts forward.
You can even do it with
a child seat in there
and it's not a problem
there's plenty of space
to get into the back row.
Take the baby out first.
I've been in second rows
that don't have as much room
as the third row
in the Traverse.
I mean, it's pretty
great back here.
Plus, it has all of the
creature comforts-- cup holders,
USB ports, a vent
for climate control.
I mean, I wouldn't want to
be the kid in the middle
here on a long road trip, but
for around town, totally fine.
With 23 cubic feet
behind the third row,
and 98 cubic feet with
it down, plus the ability
to have just part of it
down the Traverse winds
the cargo space awards
offering more room
than the Honda Pilot, Toyota
Highlander, or Ford Explorer.
Bonus points for how easy it is
to put the seats down and bring
them up again.
Bonus, bonus points for bonus
storage under the floor.

Obviously, I don't play the
cello, but maybe your kid does.
Or maybe you find and refinish
antiques on the weekend.
Whether it's for your growing
family or your outsize hobbies,
the Chevy Traverse is
big on interior space.
It's not just big, it's useful.
And isn't that the whole
point of a midsize SUV?

Chevy Traverse Third Row Seating - Mom Tested & Approved | Jim Trenary

Chevy Traverse Third Row Seating - Mom Tested & Approved | Jim Trenary

Jim Trenary Chevrolet:

What's up everybody? Today we're at Jim
Trenary Chevrolet in O'Fallon Missouri
checking out the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse,
most importantly understanding the
benefits and the practicality of the 3rd
row seating. A lot of folks seem to think
that you need to get a Tahoe or a
Suburban to have the extra space and the
extra cargo room in an SUV, but contrary
to popular belief, the Traverse actually
is a great option. I'm gonna go ahead and
send it over to Julie since she is a
working mom with three kids who might
have a different perspective than myself.
With the addition of our third child, my
husband and I knew it was time to get a
bigger vehicle. We had heard a little bit
about third row SUVs, but there's just
not a lot of information. We had three
kids and three car seats and we were just
not sure where to start. So we began with
online research, but we really needed to
be there to test drive, to get in, making
sure all our seats were going to fit.
I literally took a tape measure with me to
the dealership, along with my car seats,
and I'm sure they thought I was crazy, but, it was so worth it to me; like it was
important for me to be able to get my
seats into the car, and everybody fits
safely, and there was plenty of legroom.
So if you're a parent like me, cargo
space is a huge deal; you've got
strollers, you have pack-and-plays, you
have luggage. The Chevy Traverse more
than met these needs. One of my favorite
features is the 40-60 backseat split. We're able to put our oldest child in
the backseat, and there's plenty of room--hockey gear, baseball gear, all the
necessities for the day. So if you find
yourself in a similar situation I hope
you know that the Chevy Traverse is a
great family vehicle. I hope you get to
spend less time in a showroom and more
time with your family.

2018 Chevrolet Trax LT AT Review - Behind the Wheel

2018 Chevrolet Trax LT AT Review - Behind the Wheel

AutoDeal.com.ph:

There are some cars in the Philippine market
that just don't get that much attention,
hence you don't see them out
on the road very often.
Others might say that they don't really deserve
the chance to be out there
like the damn pimple on my forehead,
while others couldn't disagree more.
I tend to lean towards the latter
because I figure--why not?
Let the car show you if it does indeed,
deserve that Trax-tion pun intended
Let's see what the
2018 Chevrolet Trax has got.
Now, there's no denying that the front clip
of the Trax is good looking because
it just is.
On a compact frame,
you've got these large sweeping headlights
with DRLs from up here
all the way down here.
You've got a very textured--
a very unique emblem here,
a large grille and a chin
that is dressed up so well
that looks like it can probably
take on more punches than Ricky Hatton.
Sadly though, that line is back.
The shorter wheelbase is no more apparent
than when you look at the Trax from the side
2,555mm to be exact.
Now, apart from the 18-inch tires,
the 158mm of ground clearance,
and the keyless entry found on all four doors,
There really isn't much to say
when you're looking at this angle
at the very least about the side panels of the Trax
because well--it's not boring
but it's also not that exciting.
Now the rear is where it kinda fails for me a little bit
See, there are very minimal changes from the previous model
the bumper being the biggest one but it’s not enough to win me over
The lower half doesn’t really need any help
The top half might need a little bit of help
See, the glass back here is tilted just a little too much
I’d like if it were standing just a little bit more so that it would be
I don’t know, much rounder
What doesn’t need help is the 530L of space back here which is a lot
considering the car’s size and plus it also does not have a lip on the lower floor
If you fold the 60/40 seats, that can go up to more than a thousand 300L of space
which is probably enough for the Philippines vs. Australia 2
Too soon? Eh?
There is definitely room for two average to large average size Filipinos back here
Just two though because even though the tunnel is flat in the center
Yeah, it’s just enough for the two of them
Now this is my normal driving position but as you can see there’s plenty of legroom there
and plenty of headroom, just a little bit tight up here
Now there are not many toys back here to speak of just the two speakers on the door
and the two cupholders found on the center
There are no airvents however there is an honest to goodness
230V 150watt plug found down in the center which you can power
just about anything really
It’s not working
Now when you get inside I’m not gonna lie to you
It’s not necessary gonna blow you away
There are cheap plastics that can be found all around the cabin
and the instrument cluster is really nothing there great
But as you spend more time inside the cabin you’ll notice that there is this
fluidic flow on the dashboard which is very nice even this orange stitching
That’s there too really cool too
Now it incorporates the 7-Inch touchscreen very very well
which has a MyLink system and it’s pretty awesome because it does connect
to your smartphone very very well and it is better than some if not
most of the software that’s available out there
Unfluidic however is… Unfluidic is that even a term well it is one now
Unfluidic inside the car is that there are no paddle shifters found on the steering wheel
There is however a plus and minus button found on the side of the stick
which activates when you put it in M mode. Kinda an odd place though
It’s just I don’t know, kinda weird
The seats are bolstered and comfortable at the same time
which means finding the right driving position not a problem whatsoever
You got a lumbar support that is controlled electronically
while the rest of the functions are controlled manually
Now the seat does come in two types of material which are fabric and leather
which means that it’ll keep your butt cool and in place at the same time
Under the hood is a 1.4L that produces a 140horses and 200Nm of torque
Now that may not be a lot you might think but consider that there are other
subcompact cars out there that are more popular than this and have a larger
displacement engine but produce 30horsepower and 50Nm less
which makes this car an extremely peppy drive
And if you’re talking about fuel economy. Well, we took this car
up the mountain and down the mountain through Metro Manila traffic
we played with it with a lead foot because we can
and the traffic I’m talking about is well, hell on earth which is the roads of Metro Manila
and we we’re still able to clock 8.26km/l. Now that’s misbehave driving
can you imagine what we could’ve done if we were behave
Driver aids is good, cabin functionality, better
There’s enough cubby holes in here to fill a starships worth of tribbles
Safety however, best, because this car with this price tag has got 6 airbags
whether it’s the top variant or the lower variant, 6 airbags include the driver
the passenger, and curtains on the side pretty good
Weighing in on the pros and cons of the Chevy Trax LT and a price tag
of P1,035,888 buyers may be hesitant and I completely understand
Fret not, there is a second option the LS variant
Now you may have to do a way with some driver comforts and creature aids
But it still does maintain the same 1.4L engine and those 6 airbags
aren’t going anywhere, the beauty is, is that it’s cheaper than P350,000
and that right there is where Chevy may deserve it’s traction

2019 Chevrolet Blazer | Just One Problem | TestDriveNow

2019 Chevrolet Blazer | Just One Problem | TestDriveNow

Steve Hammes New Car Reviews:

While the compact and 3-row SUV segment has
been growing by leaps and bounds, this 5-passenger
midsize type has been getting squeezed out.
But with our insatiable appetite for utility
vehicles these too are on the comeback. This
is the all-new Blazer.
When we last saw it a decade and 5 cogs ago,
the TrailBlazer was an American-built, body-on-frame
sport utility whose key competitors included
the Ford Explorer and Dodge Durango…models
that’ve since moved on to the 3-row arena.
Having its name pruned once again to simply
Blazer, this 2019 Mexican-made reboot weighs
nearly 300-pounds less, now arranges its 6-cylinders
in a V formation, produces more horsepower
but less torque and improves MPGs by over
30%; collectively, a microcosm of the industry’s
evolution during its 10-year hiatus.
Similar in length, wheelbase and ground clearance
to the TrailBlazer before it, the new Blazer
is marked by daring design and robust levels
of technology.  This one here is the sporty
RS trim with a host of distinguishing traits
and blacked-out features that lend it a Camaro-like
persona.  Not for the introverted, the Blazer
RS is a visually stunning specimen with a
futuristic patina and crazy 20” Dark Android
wheels.  So you see it and think it’s going
to be all spicy and sonorous, but in reality
it’s soothing and serene.
The Blazer’s design says racy but this SUV
is more of a teddy bear, with the headline
being quiet and soft.  This RS trim is all
about style and the V6 is very strong but
the Blazer coddles its occupants with automatic
everything and technology that doesn’t fight
you.  For something that looks this cool
though there’s not a lot of excitement here. Over
300 horsepower produces some torque steer
when you step on it and while the 9-speed
is typically very smooth there is one exception;
in stop and go traffic it tends to lurch ahead
as you slow down and start again…something
GM should address with a software update because
it sullies an otherwise pleasing experience.
Though a large one - this is the Blazer’s
only real gaffe and it seems like something
that could be addressed with a software update.
This V6 can be found in over a dozen current
GM products and here it’s rated at 308 horsepower
and 270 pound-feet of torque so acceleration
feels more than adequate and the all-wheel
drive system is the one utilized in recent
Buicks - sourced from driveline supplier GKN,
it incorporates torque vectoring technology
to help steer the vehicle making on-road performance
more stable and dynamic as well as enhancing
off-road capabilities. Plus, it makes the
setup more fuel-efficient by providing an
AWD disconnect; driver selectable when not
needed.  Other modes include Sport, Off-Road
and Tow that affect steering effort, shifting,
torque distribution and traction control with
a simple twist of the knob.  And I’m all
about the Blazer’s forgiving, compliant
suspension tune and hushed, Buick-like cabin
while at the same time appreciating its gutsy
motor and precise yet relaxed drive.
On a cool day like this as soon as I fire
it up my heated seat and steering wheel automatically
go into action. I like the simplicity of the
controls and the intuitive use of technology.
And the Blazer has a healthy dose of that
with wireless device charging, WiFi hotspot,
the Marketplace feature that provides convenient
access to a number of food and service vendors,
the safety alert seat that vibrates the bottom
in the direction of potential dangers, the
customizable gauge display, air vents that
double as thermostats, auto high beams and
dynamic radar cruise control. But the look
and feel of it all doesn’t match it’s
over $48k price tag.
The RS AWD is priced from just under $45,000
while other less adorned trims with 4-cylinder
power start in the low $30s.  With everything
you see here including the Cadillac-esque
rearview camera mirror, MSRP is $48,270 and
in that lofty air I just need a little more
luxury in the presentation.  I also need
a 360 degree camera button that’s not buried
within the touchscreen.  And heck, might
as well throw in a heads-up display.
The rear seats benefit from tilt and slide
functionality as well as a flat floor so 5-passenger
accommodations it truly is.  There’re also
heated with additional USB ports.  A panoramic
roof is optional.  And then in the back,
the bowtie projection automatically triggers
as you approach to show you precisely where
the foot activated sensor is, and cargo management
is more thoughtful with a sliding divider,
lots of cubbies, underfloor storage and remote
levers to the drop the rear seats.
Bigger than the Equinox and smaller than the
Traverse, the Blazer fleshes out Chevy’s
SUV lineup with a boldly-styled yet quietly
composed midsized comeback.

Coming to the center console
A variety of technological features that this vehicle does have includes
A MyLink colour touchscreen infotainment system
That includes AM and FM radio as well as SiriusXM satellite radio
It's just on a demo right now but if you call that number and give them the
radio ID they will set that up for you
We also have
Bluetooth, as well as
The phone connectivity there
We've got Stitcher
also CD, USB, AUX input
And then there are just a variety of options there you can configure
and set
We have presets here as well as the
phone options
CD player options here
as well as
You have your power locks
Heated seats for both you and your passenger
And then once again those vehicle info settings there, that I was using before
The CD player is down here
A bunch of storage, cup holders
As well as traction control
In the center armrest here
It is quite deep, and it is illuminated
If you can see, we also have USB, AUX input, and a 12 volt outlet down there
So you keep all your stuff neatly tucked away in there
The center, uh the glove box is also very spacious as well
So you can fit all your owners manuals and whatever else you will need in there
This vehicle also has a back-up camera
Very handy to have
Alright, well that's about it for the features up here at the front
but if you'll join me I'll show you more in the back
Coming on into the back you will notice, once again some storage there on the door
But the most impressive feature of this vehicle
Is the astounding amount of space back here for your passengers
For a mid-sized SUV, you do get a ton of room
It doesn't matter how tall you are, or how long your legs are
you are going to fit very nicely back here
On the back of the driver and passengers seat they are slightly concave
So it does give you that wee bit of extra knee room
Map holders back there, it is a vinyl backing so it is easy to clean
if little feet do happen to kick back there but
like I said there is so much space back here that they
probably won't hit the back of your seat
12 volt outlet
to keep all your phones charged
rear reading lights
As well as a 60/40 split folding rear bench
which I will demonstrate for you in a minute
There is also
Folding this down, cup holders
if you are not wanting to have that third person sitting back here
And now just pulling this tab here
Folds down just so nicely and easily
Giving you a lot of versatility for any cargo or passengers you wanna have back here
And it folds up
just as easily, I'm doing that with one hand
Coming around back
you'll notice once again that back-up camera
but we also have a liftgate so
just pressing the button here
opens up nice and tall
Tons of space back here, once again if you have that 60/40 folded down
just giving you a ton of extra space
12 volt outlet back here as well as
a spare tire with all the tools and jacks that you will need
Just folding it down
You can see how this would be the perfect family vehicle
you can take the kids away for the weekend
or even just a daily commuter
into the city for work
Once again, back here all the child safety locks and anchors that you will need
Absolutely love that premium cloth upholstery
its very clean and very well taken care of
and extremely comfortable
Well you don't have to take my word for it you can come on down here to Sherwood Park Chev yourself

Chevy Sonic Difference Between Hatchback and Sedan

Chevy Sonic Difference Between Hatchback and Sedan

Bob Hook Chevy:

Alright guys welcome to Bob Hook
Chevrolet on this bright and sunny day. I
have two awesome vehicles right in front
of me, and one is the Sonic LT and it's a
sedan and I also have the Sonic
hatchback in the RS model and I'm going
to talk about the sonic first, the sedan
version. And as you can see right up
front, we have the daytime running lamps
which are down there with the projection
headlights. Right up front what you're
going to see is that little camera right
in that glass. That's gonna be for Ford
collision. Now if we come right up here
that's where you're gonna see this
little camera right here.
So as you're as you're realizing this,
this vehicle right here is also chocked
full of some other good safety features
along with this sonic that's right over
here.
But the first thing that comes to mind,
not a safety feature just moreso a
convenience factor, let me show you
something on this other side. So
Chevrolet has a lot of vehicles in the
lineup that are equipped with a thing
called passive entry and what passive
entry does is all you have to do is keep
your key fob around you or in the
proximity of about a body length and
doing so, you press this little silver
button right here. This unlocks the
vehicle. Notice how easy it is to get in
the vehicle and then from there, to make
things even more easier, let me show you
this. Come over here. What you're gonna
notice is this has push-button start. The
sonics in the past did not have
push-button start, so we're really
excited to have that feature. So this
will help me turn on the vehicle. Now
also, the same way to turn on your
vehicle, is the same way to turn off the
vehicle; by pressing the stop button. Now
one good thing to note in doing so, to
start your vehicle you must apply the
brake and then, push this button that's
right next to the steering wheel. And
then from there, just looking at this car
in a glance, what you can see this has a
heated steering wheel, this has Ford
collision which is this button as I was
describing earlier on this camera. You
have standard cruise control. You have
Bluetooth capabilities. You have Lane
Keep assist which is a really really
cool feature. Basically to describe that,
as you're running down the highway what
you'll notice is you can take your hands
off the steering wheel and the car will
correct itself inside the lane. It's
something that along with all the other
convenience of the Sonic, that helps you
get down the road just a little bit
easier. Also in doing so, what I'm seeing
is this has heated seats. This has power
locks, traction control, it has an
emergency brake right here in case
you're on some hills. If you can see this
right here
Vwa- Lah and I'll apply the breakdown.
Also from the outside, let me show you
this. This vehicle has 15 inch rims.
Notice on the size of the vehicle that
it doesn't need really really big rims.
Now this kind of transitions me over to
talking about the 2019 Chevy Sonic
hatchback in the RS model. Now if y'all
follow me over here, notice the
difference in the design right off the
bat. This is what we call a hatchback,
versus the sedan, which was over.
Now some really easy differences right
off the bat that you're gonna see is 16
inch wheels versus the 15 inch wheels.
You still have standard equipped with
the passive entry right here. Now here's
something that I do want to show you.
Notice the difference in the interior?
Notice the badging right there for the
RS? Now a lot of the same features that I
was showing you in that other vehicle
you're going to see in this vehicle, but
the the big thing about the RS is only
an appearance thing. Now if you come
around to the front, what you're going to
notice again is the badging and you're
gonna see the black bow ties which look
really neat. This one also is equipped
with fog lights. You have the daytime
running lamps with the projection
headlights. Now if we run on over here,
what you're gonna notice is this has a
little bit different styling with the
tail, right here. Again, you have the Chevy
part black bowtie you have the RS emblem
right up here. Now notice how the head
the tail lights look very similar to
what you're seeing right there, but again
it's placed inside a hatchback. Something
that's also good to note right here is
this has these little sensors right here.
So notice that there's a backup camera
right below the Chevy emblem right down
there.
This helps with a learning driver as
they're putting the vehicle in reverse,
that you're getting too close to
something.
Now from here, something different that
you're gonna see to let me open this all
these doors. Alright,
so opening up this door, what you're
gonna see is a little bit of different
space configuration. Now give me a second
and let me pull the seat up so you can
see what it's like in the backseat.
Notice that in the RS you have the RS
floor mats, but we have this one equipped
with the rubber floor mats right now. Now
notice that there's no headrest right
here. That's because we have them in the
back space, but I want you to see the
configuration of what you get in the
back seat. Now there's a couple other
cool things on this that I do want to
show you. And first off, if you have
children this does have child locks and
those are right here. See that little
latch right there? if you take one of the
keys and then you turn this over, that
will lock that door so you can only open
it from the outside as opposed to being
able to open it from the inside. Now a
couple nice features that people really
desire, you have the heated seats and you
have again, cruise control for collision,
you have bluetooth, you have your lane
keep assist as I was talking about in
that other vehicle right there. You have
your vanity mirrors right here, check
them out.
Vanity mirrors.
Now let me show you this, this is the
same thing that I was doing in the other
Sonic that you put your foot on the
brake and start the car. Now
the real cool thing about this is the
space configuration inside the trunk. Let
me show you what that will look like.
That's okay. Now as you can see the
little space right there.
Now this vehicle starts at the MSRP just
over $21,000.
There's tons of rebates and incentives
this month so come out and see us and we
would love to help get you in either the
Sonic sedan or the Sonic hatchback. And we also have a lot of
other vehicles in the Chevrolet lineup
ranging from again the Spark, the Sonic,
the Cruze, the Malibu; we have a wide
array of SUVs. Come ask for one of us my
name is Jake from Bob Hook Chevrolet.
Find the dude that's wearing khakis,
that's me right there. If you have any questions and you want to call us, you can call us at

of the Sonic hatchback RS
