Terrible Car Designs That Actually Worked | WheelHouse

Donut Media:
- Hollywood is endlessly churning out
horrible remakes of our
favorite movies ever year.
Is the car industry any different?
Car enthusiasts are some of the most
nostalgic people out there.
But when manufacturers started rolling out
modern retro-inspired cars in
the late 90s and early 2000s,
they got some mixed reviews.
Some were actually decent and maintained
the essence of the original design.
And sometimes it didn't work out.
Actually, a lot of the
time it didn't work out
this whole mess started
out with one ratted-out,
corporate baby boomer,
nightmare of a hot rod.
The Plymouth Prowler.
On paper, this car is legit.
It was designed by Chip Foose
as a senior design thesis
while he was attending design college.
It was a unique car at a
time when American cars
were boring clones of each other.
Hot rods historically had
a V8, the flathead V8.
And Prowlers would have a V8 too,
if they hadn't run into budget issues.
Prowlers built after 1997
had an updated aluminum V6,
making 253 horsepower,
and 250 and torques.
That's not crazy, but when you consider
that the car weighs only 2,800 pounds,
that's what I like to call not bad.
They were able to keep the weight down
by using an all aluminum construction,
which might of actually contributed
to it's demise in the long run.
Making a car out of
aluminum is very expensive,
especially back in the early 2000s.
And after all was said and done,
Chrysler didn't have much money left over
for things like the engine,
transmission, and interior.
So they went to their parts bin.
They used the engine and
four-speed automatic transmission
from the 300M, gear lever
from a Dodge Intrepid,
the radio from a Durango,
and interior parts from a Dodge Caravan.
The Prowler went from being
a completely unique roadster
to being a vanilla Frankenstein.
And they didn't stop there.
Chrysler was like "Hey,
"what if we keep doing
this weird hot rod (bleep),
"but we carry it over
to a passenger vehicle?"
And that's the genesis
for one of the most
hated cars of this era.
You already know what I'm talking about.
The Chrysler PT, or
Personal Transit Cruiser
borrowed the radical arch
grille from the Prowler.
The cabin's design was meant to evoke
a 1930s wagon sort of vibe, and it didn't.
PT Cruisers were often seen
with vinyl flames on the side,
chrome accents, and wood paneling.
Not even a turbo-charged
version with 230 horsepower
could make you forget
how goofy this car looked
(engine revving)
These new hot rods were the exact opposite
of the cars they were paying homage to.
They were watered down,
underpowered, and corporate.
That's not to say things
didn't get better though.
In 2005, Ford successfully pulled off
a retro-futuristic reboot of the Mustang,
and saved us from the
somewhat boring SN95.
The new design called back
to the fastback Mustangs of the 60s,
and Ford's updated engines
definitely had some more 'Stang in them.
There were so many
special edition Mustangs
of this generation.
There was the GT350, the
Super Snake, the Boss 302.
But those aren't my favorite.
That honor has to go to the Shelby GT500.
I mean, how could you
not fall in love with it?
It had a top speed of 202 miles per,
and Carroll Shelby himself
had a hand in designing it.
Actually he gave final
approval on that last one.
And technically, that one
isn't in the 2005 version.
It still had a solid rear end,
so that makes it a real Mustang.
Am I right?
You know what I'm talking about.
At the time that it came out,
I was the most powerful
production Mustang ever.
The supercharged and inter-cooled V8
made 662 pretty evil horses.
This thing is a monster,
and if I'm being honest,
sometimes I pretend I'm driving this car
instead of my Mustang.
I guess there's something to be said
about redesigning a classic car,
versus trying to make a brand new one
look like it's a classic.
Which is what happened with the Prowler.
But sometimes a company can screw it up,
even if they're redesigning
one of their classic cars.
Which is exactly what happened
with one of Ford's other
cars, the Thunderbird.
(upbeat jazz music)
Ford debuted the 11th
gen Thunderbird in 2002
after a five year absence.
The retro-futurist T-bird
was highly anticipated.
But the car took way
too long to be released
and it didn't really live up to the hype.
Personally, that thing looks all right.
Ford wanted to market the
T-bird to older customers,
surprised from the get-go, so
speed wasn't their concern.
Comfort was.
Suspension was soft, and it only came with
a five-seed automatic transmission.
As was the case with the Prowler,
the engine in the
Thunderbird wasn't that bad.
This was when Ford owned Jaguar.
So it has 3.8 liter Jaguar
V8 pushing 280 ponies.
It road on the Ford DEW platform,
shared with the Lincoln
LS and Jaguar S-Type.
Seems like it could scoot, right?
Well, unfortunately, Ford
tuned the Thunderbird
for Lazy Sunday cruising
and not for scooting.
Although there was a
rumored supercharged version
being developed before
production shut down.
RIP.
Another boomer design
nightmare is the Chevy SSR.
Short for Super Sport Roadster,
is a hardtop convertible
hot rod truck styled after
the advanced design trucks of the 1940s.
You know, you want the
utility of a hot rod
with the performance of a small truck.
Great idea.
SSRs were in production from 2003 to 2006.
One reason they've become a
popular collector car lately
is because for the 2006 production year,
Chevy started putting LS2s
and Tremec six-speed manual
transmissions into the SSR,
which is pretty sick to be honest.
(engine revving)
So I'm gonna move on to a modern redesign
that wasn't a failure at all.
The new Beetle.
(funky jazz music)
The People's Car has been bought
over 21 million times worldwide
since they started making them in 1938.
Between then and 1979, a span of 41 years,
not much changed in the
design of the Beetle.
So when VW debuted the Concept One
at the 1994 Detroit Auto Show,
people's minds were blown.
The design was futuristic and timeless.
They started selling it in the US in 1998.
It had a freaking flower
holder on the dash,
and I think there was an
option to have flower wheels.
But VW also offered some cool trim levels,
like the ultra rare Beetle RSI
that had all-wheel drive,
race-tuned suspension,
and a freaking VR6 making 220 horsepower.
That would be freaking dope, dude.
(engine revving)
one of our editors at Donut here, Bridget,
has a sick Beetle R that
has a performance upgrade.
Huge Beetle fan, and
her favorite is the GSR,
a 210 horsepower version
modeled after a racing Beetle from 1973.
Freaking sick, I mean
look at those wheels.
Look at the little angry eyebrow things.
That's cool.
(upbeat pop music)
A few other models worth mentioning
are the 2008 Dodge Challenger reboot,
which we all know and most of us love,
despite it's enormous size.
My personal favorite being the
SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody,
It also has 797 horsepower.
And I'd also like to mention
Chrysler's Crossfire SRT-6.
It's all right.
There were a lot of fails that happened
in the early 2000s, but overall,
I would consider the
retro-futurist movement
to be a pretty cool thing
that happened in car history.
Thanks for watching Wheel House.

Why Not to Buy a Chevrolet HHR Car

Scotty Kilmer:
rev up your engines,
Marco's Delgado says Scotty I want to
get an HHR with a manual transmission
has 130,000 miles what are your thoughts
okay I don't like those GM products they
generally don't hold up over time, but
it's a standard transmission the worst
thing about the HHR are their automatic
transmissions are garbage and you don't
have one it's a manual transmission, now
that sets got 130,000 miles it's got a
little bitty four-cylinder engine in it
don't pay much for it, because they are
worth much when they're used, you get a
standard you get it at a cheap price
right, change the oil a lot take care of
it, who knows but don't pay much for it because just realize it when they get older
they're not worth that much money and
you want to pay much for it, and if you
get it cheap enough, hey you never know
it might last a long time just don't pay
too much for it because it isn't worth
that much, Theresa B says I got a 1998
Ford Taurus W hundred and sixty-four
thousand miles for free, but the radiator
was rusty, flushed alone, suspensions bad
valve cover transmission leaks
needs transmission motor mounts are
Ford Taurus is good car, okay
that's 98 Ford Taurus they actually had
quite a bit of problems, now the thing is
you got that car for nothing,
it runs decent and shifts decent do the
valve cover, oil leaks if it's not
leaking that bad, transmission fluid and
engine oils cheap just keep adding it,
and if the suspension is bad get some
struts and put them on it on and it will ride a
lot better, just don't put a whole bunch
of money into it, my advice would be,
drive a little while see how you feel
with it, does it feel solid enough does
it run and shift good enough and if it
does fix things a little at a time, if
it doesn't have just drive until the
wheels fall off and get rid of it, you
got it for nothing so you're not really
gonna be losing anything,
MDS 81 68 says, Scotty I have a shake or
wobble in the front when I take off from
a stop once in a while I thought it
could be the engine, clean the MAF
throttle port cleaner I had strut
replaced and it's still shaken or wobble
when I take off from a stop, a lot of
times it's just the motor or the
transmission mount is worn, because when
you take off, there's more torque on the
engine and so if the mounts are gone it will
wobble as it bounces back and forth
you want to check those mounts first to
see if there's any problem with that, now
let's say you have a car that is a
notorious problem like say, a Chrystler minivan that's doing
that
odds are two transmission is starting to
go out, because when you take off, if it
wobbles a lot of times it's the
transmission just starting to go out,
because if you got a suspension problem
like a bad tire or worn tie rods, the
faster you go the more it's gonna wobble
and yours is the other way around, it's
wobbling when you're taking off, you want
to pray that it's not an internal
transmission fault, because if it's that
you would have to go and get it rebuilt
which costs a fortune, so pray that it's
a motor or transmission mount first
because they're very easy to check, Zeno
2019 says Scotty I got a 2004
Trailblazer
and my dash lights aren't working what
could be the cause, people had the radio
out before the original dash cluster
and we got three more clusters put them
in and the light still didn't work what
could it be
it could be not having the radio when
you swap it out, because GM has these
insane designs, some of the modern cars
won't even start if you swap the radio
because part of the starting system
is in the radio circuitry, so you want to
check all the wiring by where the radio
was, something could easily be off now if
you hadn't had that radio taken out and not
replaced, the problem often is on those
you turn your lights on then you got
those things to make the lights brighter
or dimmer, that part often breaks now
that can be bypassed
because you can just take the wire off
of that and you can run it directly to
the clusters, when you have the car
running the cluster will get 12 volts
all the time and then the lights would
stay on, you couldn't adjust them and
make them dim or make them bright they'd
be bright all the time but hey, look at
me I'm getting old I want a bright so I
want those things as bright as they can
be, first thing I do is go to the light
feed on that cluster and just give it 12
volts and as it lights up, just rewire it
so that power comes from the ignition
switch to there when you start it up and
they'll be lit up all the time, Edoardo
Becerra says, Scotty hello from Italy I
have a 1984 Audi Quattro it overheats the
fan works I checked the inlet and outlet
temperature the two radiators and enters
in at 240 and exits at 140 what can it be, okay well it's leaving at a lot lower it's your
radiators are losing a hundred degrees
so they're getting rid of heat they're
doing their job, now the problem with
Audi's is, as they age they often have
problems with blown head gaskets, your
engine could just be putting out so much
heat that it's overheating
you want to watch my video, how to tell
if your head gasket is blown, do that test
because if the head gasket is blown it'll
overheat no matter how fast your
radiator can dissipate heat the engine
will create too much heat and then it will
keep overheating, so if you never want to
miss another one of my new car repair
videos, remember to ring that Bell!

FASTEST Cars You Can Buy for CHEAP | WheelHouse

Donut Media:
- If you're like me,
you're always looking
for a reason to go fast.
But one thing that always
gets in the way of doing that
is money and my lack of it.
So, how do you go fast
on a shoe string budget?
We've already covered
how to get a cool ride
for under ten grand,
but this video is going
to be a little different.
We're not going to factor
in looks, cool factor,
reliability, fuel
efficiency, or even handling,
just the cheapest way to
go the absolute fastest
in a straight line.
Some cars might be stocked,
some will need a few modifications,
but they all have crazy potential.
Keep in mind that there are
a million ways of going fast,
these are just a few that we thought of.
You probably have some good ideas too,
so hit us up in the comments,
and while you're at it,
hit that like button,
and hey this episode is sponsored by Wix,
stick around to the end of
the episode to check out
the episode we made with
Wix's super easy to use tools.
The website's called BuffHorses.com
Now, on to the episode.
- Holy crap.
- From 2005 to 2007, the Cobalt
ss had an eten supercharged
version of the two liter ecotec inline for
making 205 horsepower.
You cane easily throw a
smaller pulley on there
to get a nice boost in power.
Don't be afraid to do that
because Chevy actually offered
smaller blower pulleys as a dealer option
so it's not that risky.
The supercharged engine couldn't
meet EPA standards for 2008
so for that year, the Cobalt went turbo.
You can get up to 155 miles an hour.
I found a tune online for 350 bucks
that boosts a stock engine
to 300 wheel horsepower
in a car that weighs 3,000 pounds.
You can get even more power with boltons.
I'm taking 350.
The best part is that you can
find Cobalts anywhere between
four and 6,000 dollars.
That's a pretty good deal,
but you know what car
has the same engine and is even cheaper?
The Saturn ion redline edition.
Did a Saturn really make this list?
It's got the same supercharged
ecotec from the Cobalt,
and in my opinion, looks a little better.
Luckily, these ion
redlines are still around.
I'm guessing because
no one knew about them,
and they're Saturns,
but we found at least five
of them for three grand,
and with a top speed of 144,
this makes the Saturn ion redline
the best value buy thus far.
- Holy crap.
- Next up is the Mitsubishi
eclipse, Eagle talon,
and Plymouth laser.
They're all basically the same thing.
This car shouldn't be a shock to anyone.
The first gen Mitsubishi
eclipse is a classic tuner
and for good reason.
It's got the rugged 4G63 iron block engine
that can handle a ton more power
if you wanted to modify it,
but does great on it's own.
This is the same motor that the Evo had.
The 4G63t powered GSX
puts out 195 horsepower.
It's not a lot, but that's the point.
It's typical for a stockbottom
end to handle 500 horsepower.
All you need to boost power
fast is a bigger turbo
and a fuel pump.
After market parts for
the 4G63 are pretty cheap,
and complete engines
aren't a bad deal either
if you're looking to swap.
I will concede that Eclipses
are becoming harder to find,
especially the all wheel drive GSX
which can drive up the price.
If you want to save that cash,
try finding any car with the 4G63 engine.
Cars like the fourth gen Mitsubishi Mirage
and the second gen Hyundai Sonata.
Imagine building a Sonata that ran tens.
Let's look at a few cars
that can be turned into absolute beasts
with an ebay whistleyboi.
Hashtag whistleyboi.
If you get your hands on a
first gen Chevy Silverado,
with the 5.3 liter vortec
v8 and a short bed,
that's already pretty fun for a truck,
but strap an ebay turbo onto that bad boy,
you're looking at tens at the drag strip.
No joke.
Bring it up with Tony Angelo.
He told me this.
I say throw that sucker in
anything it'll fit inside.
Fords, Nissans, Miatas, I don't care.
V8 the world.
There are literally millions
of five threes out there
which means they're cheaper than dirt too.
The five three might be the
most swapped engine ever
and the after market
for them is humongous.
Speaking of V8's,
I didn't mention the
Mustang on my last list,
but I will now.
I have it on good authority,
that the fourth gen, or SN95 Mustang,
is in their 4.6 liter V8s
respond incredibly well to turbo charging.
The SN95 gets budget bonus points too
because most people think
they're really ugly,
thus keeping demand low.
- Oh.
- You guys know I can't make a list
without putting a Honda on it.
People sleep on the Prelude.
Under the hood is the H22,
which I think of as Honda's
big block drag racing motor.
I'm not going to bull (beep) you okay,
nice Preludes are going
to command a nice price,
but you can get grody ones like this one
for under two grand.
Throw an ebay turbo on it,
and you've got a six sleeper
for test and tune nights
at the drag strip.
Shout out Famoso raceway.
The final car on this list
is probably my favorite.
It's the Dodge neon SRT4.
It's got a turbo from the factory,
doesn't have a muffler,
and it embarrassed Mustangs and
Camaros all through the obs.
These were rated at 230
hrsprs in the factory,
but Dodge was actually under rating them.
There are many reports of
people dino-ing stock SRT4's
and seeing 230 at the wheels.
You can find these things cheap,
but don't expect them to be nice.
Most of them are clocked out
and modded to hell and back,
but hey turbo charger.
If you really want to
go off the beaten path,
the PT cruiser GT came with he same engine
and made the same power.
The only downside is you
have to drive a PT cruiser.
Can't stomach the PT, then
look for a Dodge caliber SRT4.
It made 285 horses from a 2.4 liter engine
and also came with a 6 speed manual.
That's pretty sick.
I feel like we're actually
digging deep for these.
To end my list,
I have two honorable mentions
that can be fast as heck
but are super super duper hard to find.
The first is a Suzuki Swift GTI
which has a turbo'd 3 cylinder engine,
but you can't find them anywhere.
Believe me, I've tried.
If you see one for sale,
buy it because it's going to
be a classic in like five years
The second is the Dodge Omni GLH.
These things were tuned
by Carroll Shelby himself,
and the GLH stands for goes like hell,
which is how you know it's fast.
Hopefully you got some good
ideas from this episode.
Now, go buy something and make it fast.
Fast car, NASCAR.

Chevrolet SSR; Üçü bir arada V8 silindirli Retro-Modern

Sekizsilindir:
Hello everyone!
Today, we're together with a pretty interesting Chevrolet car.
We can't know how we call this car, as pick-up or SUV
or cabrio car or coupe car.
Because, it's a car that contains many different features on its body.
This car was made in the memory of 1954 Chevrolet 3100 pick-up,
to be honoured that car on its 50. production year.
Our seen black, retro designed and interesting car is called as 2004 Chevrolet SSR.
Now, if we make a general introduction of this car,
it has same platform with mid-size SUV cars of Chevrolet of that times.
For that reason, its ground clearance is a bit much.
Engine on it is same with them too.
Just shortened with respect to that models.
And this interesting, commendation and modernly designed version of 1954 model came to exist.
The engine on it is V8,
5.3L and its power is 300HP.
But car is pretty heavy, 2.2 tons.
This 5.3L V8 engine can reach this 2.2 tons car on nearly 7.5-8 seconds from rest to 100km/h speed.
An Overhead Valve (OHV) engine.
So, typical American engine, if it's overhead, then it's called as OHV.
And this is a design that affects its sound, working way etc.
and we can say that a very traditional engine.
Now if you please, let's see the engine by opening bonnet and see what's inside.
Yes, our engine with SSR signature on it came to forefront as seen.
It's huge and filled this space completely.
As we said, it's V8, OHV and has 300HP power.
and it can reach this car to 100km/h on nearly 7.5-8 seconds from rest.
And let me emphasize its weight which is 2.2 tons again.
A pretty heavy car.
When we look general aspect,
it shows almost the same design lines of that pick-up truck model of 1954
with its front design,
mudguard bulges and slight cambers.
So, we can say that it's a very beautiful retro design for this car.
Already designed with this purpose.
We need to pay attention to sizes of tires, their size is 255/50/19.
So, it has nearly same dimensions with E segment SUV cars of present.
Actually this proved basing of it on SUV cars.
Also you can load your stuff to rear side of car.
Also can open the top
and you can drive it as a sport coupe car, a speedster in that way.
Now, let's see the most beautiful state of our car, so the lowered top state.
Even, we need to start the engine to do this act.
Let's push the gas pedal slightly.
Yes, the button on here opens our tent (top).
We're lowering it now.
Yes, operation done.
We obtained a speedster look car from our hardtop car.
Look, how nice it looks.
Everything is available on this car,
coupe, cabrio
pickup truck and SUV, so whatever you want is available on this car.
Even, let me show you the trunk.
By the way, because of being for two person, the part that tent enters is just this (shown by hand) division.
It enters to here and hidden.
Standard metal top, we already saw it while lowering.
That provides it nicely hiding.
A flat view was obtained.
Our key is in that way as seen.
Top lid of trunk is opened by using this button.
We hold from here and lifting it up.
We've a trunk in that way.
To open that part,
from there,
yes, now, you see our enormous trunk.
Almost a pick-up car.
Already, 3.5 tons is written on its vehicle licence as maximum payload of this car.
So, when you consider its 2.2 tons weight too,
almost 1.2-1.3 tons load carrying capacity is possible.
A that much commercial vehicle with this issue, very nice and interesting.
A rear-wheel drive car,
pretty strong and its driving is very pleasant.
Also there is an issue like that,
for example let's say you're inside of car,
I don't know if any person want to sleep on trunk but
there is a latch on there for it.
Normally there isn't on pick-up cars.
When you pull this latch, top lid opens and you can get out of trunk.
So, you cannot be locked inside of trunk.
This is too a nice feature.
Now, let's bring our car to its previous state.
Now, let's look at its lines.
For example would you look at exhaust pipes, they are like stove pipe.
All in all we throw all exhaust gasses of our V8 engine.
Lines are very beautiful.
Mudguards are bulged,
these lines refers to 50 years before car directly.
Our SSR writing is on here, already it reveals how it's strong with red colour and R letter exceedingly.
For example I'm looking at the car and its bulges from here,
It has very sharp and right angular bulges,
it looks very nice, a very retro design.
And because of being of tyres are out of car with its rims,
it has an extreme special view.
When you see a car like this on traffic,
people don't know can be surprised by saying what kind of a car this is.
They wonder many features of it such as what kind of features it has, what brand etcetera.
It stands very exotic.
It's 2004 model as we said and a design that belongs to nearly 12-13 years before.
It was started to sell in 2003
but generally 2004 versions of this car are available on the market.
For example, things on sides, very interesting,
there is side steps same as SUV and pick-up cars.
Why, this car is already a raised high car.
also has an SUV platform,
so this car has everthing on design of it.
Now, if you please let's look at its interior and see together what kind of details are inside of it.
Yes, now we get in our car.
A very normal (ordinary) cockpit welcomed us in contrast with the exterior of car.
So, there is no such an extreme feature in my opinion.
It's standard, typical American, I mean accustomed features.
For example, finer and higher quality production that we see on German and Japanese cars
cannot be found on American cars especially produced on same era with this car (2000's).
Buttons of stereo are pretty big as seen.
Steering wheel is pretty big too in same way.
Actually it's fitted well with the general concept of car.
Gear stick is in here, frankly it was made nice and like a knob.
Even it looks like a mace when you hold and grasp it.
Here is the button that turn on/off the top of car.
Also power door locks, windows operating switches for sides.
And traction control button is available on here.
These are air conditioner adjustments.
It's already a manual air conditioner which is understood from this button as seen.
This is recirculation vent.
Also rear window defogger switch etc., so a pretty standard manual air conditioner is available on this car.
Here is typical American traditions.
Hmmmm..
Glassholders, small divisions.
Even in here too, let's look at it too.
Absolute must of American cars,
these are used on most of cars today but it was used on only American cars in that times.
Our tiny air vent grills in here.
We're looking door interior part,
an adjustment switch that is used for side mirror is available on there.
And door handle, these are made in accord with part that gear lever is available.
Even, there is a shiny black colour coating near gearbox.
In same way,
it was made above of car.
However, could you please look at this, my arm stands how much above during sitting.
When you look from the general concept of car aspect,
a beautiful, nice and low ride.
A satisfying ride, already we'll see this while driving it.
It'll be interesting, the level of door is on my shoulders.
Here is for example, let's continue to interior.
This is hard plastic by the way,
typical American and springs a bit.
Also there are some bulges on them generally.
So, that kind of a workmanship is available on it.
Here is glovebox.
Yes, apart from that, there is nothing else to talk about.
Seats are beautiful.
Headrests are fixed.
Even, it looks alike Dodge Viper seats exceedingly.
They are different groups but accepted similar styles on seats.
So, seats and leathers of them are nice.
Also everything is on brand-new condition.
We look in general aspect, yes.
These are...
sun visors and make up mirrors.
Even, look, there are various settings on our rear view mirror.
These buttons are too American tradition,
we think in that way.
They put garage doors turning on/off controllers to these buttons.
Also ligthing and dimming is available,
they used nice features.
But when you think it's a 2004 model car,
these can be accepted as standard features.
Let's look at indicators, in that way.
Even, let's start the car too
by stepping on the brake.
Yes, you hear the sound of V8, starting it is very beautiful.
Let me rev up the engine.
A 5.3 liters, V8
300hp and Overhead Valve (OHV) engine.
Sound is very characteristic.
It's muttering (grumbling), very very very beautiful.
Yes, we saw the features of our car.
Already the engine and design of our car come to the forefront mainly.
Now, we will look at the features of this engine,
test it on outside,
go enter to the traffic.
Also will listen its sound and speedup with it.
Let's enjoy this open-top car.
We're together with a very extraordinary car.
So, let's see how it is going.
Yes, we started our SSR drive.
And firstly let's step on the gas if you please.
Wooow!
You hear the sound.
Sound is perfect, traction is perfect.
We really are in a wondrous car.
We wanted to start with that kind of a speedup.
As we said, our car has 300Ps power engine.
And it make you feel each one of this horsepower.
Also has 450Nm torque.
And this is too felt exceedingly.
But all in all our car is a crossover
and has a platform like an SUV.
And for that reason,
it makes you feel different feelings.
You suppose it sport car but not,
suppose pickup or cabrio but not these also.
However, not just one of these but little by little from all of them.
A really superb car from that view.
And for two person, so you can call it as speedster.
One of the most unique automobiles that were produced.
So, all car types are included in this car.
And has a hard suspension system on it.
For example we passed just now,
it really makes you felt this.
Let me buzz this V8 again on there.
Really wondrous.
We are driving on very bumpy roads.
We feel bumps but in a soft way.
Of course tyres are pretty big and low rise,
this affects it too.
This car was made to obtain a typical muscle car.
But has a very different style.
WooHoo!
Incredible!
So, it transfers this power and torque to the ground in such a nice way.
Also it has a 4-speed automatic transmission and can transfer better,
but these brilliant feelings of rear-wheel drive is available on this car exceedingly.
Both engine is really maniac,
a crazy V8,
and transforming this traction is typical American.
It makes you felt every beauty and pleasure.
But the place where we're on is an empty road.
There is no traffic, only very few cars.
We really pay attention to traffic and do these kind moves on empty roads, you guys please don't do this move on normal traffic.
Now, let's do zero to 100km/h if you please.
Yes,
now our mileage, look at the sound,
40 miles!
50 miles!
and 60 miles!
So we reached to 100km/h.
We hit the 80 miles per hour at the end of road.
A perfect 0-100km/h with its perfect sound.
I didn't count it, so you can count while watching.
Really magnificient.
A spectacular speedup which pushes from back and says "Go man goooo" is available.
By the way the sprint of this car to 100km/h is nearly 7.5 seconds.
This value may not sounds good on present conditions.
However, being a car that was produced with 2003 and 2004's technology
and also not having any supercharger systems on its engine
must be considered.
Don't forget these please.
Let's make zero to 100km/h in here too.
Yes, now
we stopped.
Yes, time to zero to 100km/h, a ramp is in here.
Here we gooo!
How great!
We started by shaking the rear side.
Yes, it's 100km/h.
Perfect.
It's really wondrous dear friends.
We loved this car, it contains everything.
Hope that you liked too.
Thanks for watching us.

This PT Cruiser Has a Serious Problem

Scotty Kilmer:
rev up your engine's, okay here we go
you got an overheating car in this case
it's a PT Cruiser, there are literally
dozens of things that can make a car
overheat so where do you start, well you
start with the most obvious things you
can find, and what's in it okay it's got
Bo 300 multiple misfires
it's got PR 128 coolant thermostat below
regulating temperature, and again the
misfires and no definition found that
fascinating, but when we look over here
that's for the TCM that's for the
transmission control module so that
probably won't have anything with the
engine overheating, we'll ignore that for
the time being,
so the codes hey, the engine's misfiring
but is the engine misfiring because the
engines overheating, or is something
making the edge and misfiring that
causes the engine to overheat
well that wasn't all that much help so
let's check the coolant level next, well
look inside here and lo and behold you
can't even see the coolant so it's low
on coolant, now there's a whole bunch of
reasons you could be low on coolant
leaking radiator cap, leak in the system,
overeating engine but since this engines
cold here's a quick test, what you can
do is start the engine up cold with a
cap off, then put your hand over the
radiator cap hole, now I don't feel
any pressure coming out, so the ehad gasket
isn't completely blown, if my
hand would of had a lot of pressure
coming out on an ice cold engine when
you started it where you remove the
radiator cap from, that would mean the head
gasket is so far gone it's just blowing
smoke up through there and you know the
engine would need work, but in this case
that's not happening so, for the time
being we're just gonna put some water in
the system to check for leaks, now while
we're doing this we're gonna turn on the
a/c full blast to see if the cooling fan
works then, here we go
I can feel the cooling fan blowing really
strong, so we
know the cooling fan works fine with the
AC on,
but sometimes the cooling fan does not
work right when the AC is off, their two
separate systems, because when you turn
the AC on it's supposed to turn the
cooling fan on the radiator on to suck
air through the radiator and the AC
condenser that's in front of the
radiator so the AC blow cold, but
when you're driving a car with the AC
off it's a different system and that works
that when the sensor for that system
sees the temperature gets to a certain
amount of degrees, it'll turn the cooling
fans on and then when it cools down they
go off, and then when it gets hotter
again it'll go on, so I'm going to turn
the AC off now and let it idle and see
if the fans come on and off, this might
take a little while but hey that's the
life of figuring out why your car is
overheating, so we'll turn the AC off and
now we'll go to the fan here, stick our
hand behind it and we don't feel it
it's not moving, so now we have to wait
for the engine to warm up, now here's the
temperature gauge once it starts to warm up
we got a watch to see that those fans
come on, it's a very common problem with
these things that the original system
doesn't turn the fans on, now while we're
waiting for it to warm up here's a tip,
let's say your car starting to overheat
especially in traffic and if you turn
the AC on and it stops overheating and
the temperature goes back down,
hey just drive around with the AC on
at least for the interim you're not hurting
anything, this may or may not be the
problem we don't know, we gotta wait
until the car warms up to see if that
cooling fan comes on by itself with the
AC off, now while we're waiting this is
the time that you need to know
everything about the car possible, in
this case I asked the customer he said
the car was wrecked in the front
some body work done and some radiator
work done, it could easily be they messed
with the sensors that turn the cooling
fan on it could be the whole problem, but
we gotta wait until we see whether it comes
on or not, because if it comes on well
that's not the problem, well
the temperature gauge is starting to get a
little
higher so let's go under the hood and
see what's happening with the fan, I hear
something and lo and behold it's on, so
that system is working, the fans coming
on, well now what are we gonna do now I
gotta figure out why is it overheating,
well I just figured one thing out the
fan just kicked in full blast you can
hear them and when I put my hand behind the
radiator fan it's blowing like mad
but it's cool air, that should be hot air
so for some reason the radiator isn't
getting enough hot water in it, and just
and yes now it's starting to overheat to get
it into the hot zone so we'll turn it off,
so I'm gonna
get this little temperature tester out and
it was 19 bucks or so we're gonna try to
find where there's a restriction to keep
the water from getting into the radiator
so it'll dissipate the heat with a fan,
we'll take a few temperature readings
the top is 199 but the bottom here
is only 108, so the water not coming
from the top to the bottom, and guess
what the thermostat is in here, so we're
just gonna change the thermostat let's
pray it's that cheap of a fix, so we'll
move some stuff out of the way and unbolt
the thermostat, and there's a
stupid thing, this is supposed to be
closed when it's cold
and open when it's hot, you saw it
getting hot it didn't open so we're
gonna replace the thermostat, now when
you put the new thermostat in you got to
make sure that the knotch goes the right
way, there's a notch right here fits
right in, as you can see right here it
fits right in the notch it's nice and
tight and it won't fall out when you put
it back in, then you tighten the housing
back on, and we'll fill it full of
coolant, put the cap back on
nice and tight, then start it up and see
what father time he has to say about it
ehating after it warms up
remember there's no shortcuts when it
comes to time, you gotta let it run till
it warms up, then see if the fan comes
on, if it does
odds are it's fixed, you still need to road
test it for half an hour so you see how it
does on the highway, but it was overheating
just idling before and if it stops now
that should be it, and here we go
I hear the fans coming on, and when I
stick my hands in, the air is blowing and
this time it's warm air, it's not cool
air, it means it's actually circulating,
and as we can see on a temperature gauge
look it's staying pretty much around the
middle it's not going up to the H
like it was before, so if you never want
to miss another one of my new car repair
videos, remember to ring that Bell!
